I am currently 6 weeks with baby no2 10 years apart and my god I am hurting everywhere my hips back my legs anyone else feeling like this? When I was In labour with my daughter I had really bad leg pains and after I have suffered with my hips and back but now it's getting worse 😫 hopefully it eases

chillichillioil · 22/08/2022 11:47

@Sunnyxo it's good to know how far along you are & at least at 8 weeks you'll see some real progression this time. Let us know how you get on lovely xxx

Emeal123 · 22/08/2022 11:48

@chillichillioil i went private and they are doing the rescan for no extra cost. When I had my son I had an NHS scan at 6 weeks and they said I was 6+2 but then when I went to my 12 week scan they changed the date again by adding 5 days, so I think this early on pregnancy it’s not uncommon for them to get the date slightly off xx

Sunnyxo · 22/08/2022 11:49

@Tropicana1 @chillichillioil I agree not trying to question her, but maybe she got mixed up with dates and dated it from say 4 weeks from ovulation rather than 6w3d from date of last period? But it all is a tad confusing what they have said.

Also may be worth asking window to the womb to send across by email the measurements and an explanation of what they saw, as then you've got that to show the midwife or EPU to make sense of too

Wouldloveanother · 22/08/2022 11:49

That’s frustrating @chillichillioil as others have suggested I would be tempted to try EPAU. Hope you’re okay.

Ive got my NHS dating scan 2 weeks tomorrow, when I’ll be nearly 9 weeks, so will hopefully give me a clear idea of how things are going. I’m nervous though!

Really struggling with work again today. The only time I don’t feel sick and swimmy is when I’m lying on my back, but I can’t work like that! My laptop is connected to a keyboard etc so can’t even work from the sofa. I’m going to have to tell them today I think. It’ll be a case of emailing then logging off straight away as I’m scared of the replies…

@SavedByGraceAlone I’ve been having cramping for quite some bit today, it does stop but is very on and off… I do remember with my first pregnancy I would have a constant pain on one side during the first couple of weeks, this time around it’s more in the middle and lower back pain too - honestly pregnancy is so nerve wrecking 😅

I have pain in my hips legs and alot of cramping I am 6 weeks. Like I just feel aching everywhere haha

Sunnyxo · 22/08/2022 11:51

Thanks @chillichillioil I'm super nervous, but hoping everything's going to be okay xxx

chillichillioil · 22/08/2022 11:56

@Sunnyxo they gave me the paper with the measurements on & they say 1.70mm embryo dating 4+6. So will give it to the midwife and see what she says. I am tempted to ring EPU, but not sure what they will do.

Absolutely understand that you're nervous, it's a minefield this first trimester isn't it. Sending all the possy vibes that your little bean will be wriggling around and you'll see it clear as day 💜💜

Sunnyxo · 22/08/2022 12:05

That's good you have the info! I think it depends on how you feel, if you start getting quite worried and anxious and a early scan now would help, call EPU/ or doctor to refer, but if you're okay to wait til midwife, that would be fine too xxx

Thank you so much, it definitely is a minefield! 😂 fingers crossed though 🤞🏻 keep me posted on how you get on and hope all goes okay ❤️

simplythequest · 22/08/2022 12:28

Gosh, what a lot I've missed on here. I'm sorry to those of you who are struggling at the moment, either with symptoms or less-than-positive news...

I'm 6+2 today and have just received (to my surprise) dates for my 12 and 20 week scans! Not heard from the midwife yet about anything, although I know they tend to wait until about 8 weeks to get in touch in my area.

I'm not sure I can wait until the beginning of October for a scan, but having seen so many of you having problems with early scans, I'm a bit nervous about that too!

Longbin · 22/08/2022 12:46

I just had my early scan at EPAU and I had one last week privately as I couldn't wait 😂 next one is in 3 weeks, it's going to drag. I really don't enjoy this phase of pregnancy at all, I'd actually prefer to be waddling around about to pop instead of being in the phase where you just don't know what's going on

Gilm0reGirl · 22/08/2022 13:53

Hi! It has taken all morning but I have managed to read all of the thread! I feel like I know you all already 😂

I am currently 5+2 (due 22nd April) with our second baby. Our daughter is 3 and also a April baby, so I’m very happy to be expecting around the same date.

so far my symptoms are up and down. I’ll be exhausted and then it’ll go, nausea will hit in waves, headache seems to come on every other day it feels like. My boobs have however doubled in size and been sensitive from the get go. I wasn’t expecting a BFP for this cycle as it was our first month of trying for number 2 and it took us 2 years to conceive our first. I do tend to suffer with chemical pregnancies and early miscarriages but so far so good and I’m staying positive. Like many of you I have booked an early scan for 8+2, we have a 2 week holiday mid September and having flown with morning sickness last time, I am praying this trimester isn’t as bad for the nausea 🙏🏼 I really don’t want to spend 2 weeks unwell but if I am then I’ll make do; there are worse places to be sick!

I hope everyone is having a good 1st trimester! X

ncbn1 · 22/08/2022 14:02

I’ve just had my booking in appointment over the phone at 6+3 although it was originally booked for 8+6. Has anyone else had theirs this early? I’m glad things are moving but I feel like it’s tempting fate abit 😭

Had an early scan at EPAU this morning as was having some one sided pain due to an ovarian cyst. Baby measuring exactly what they should at 7w1d 🥰. I know anything could happen yet but such a relief after our MMC at 6 weeks earlier this year!

chillichillioil · 22/08/2022 14:28

@Longbin how did your scan go? Did you manage to see the little bean?

@Bub20 glad your scan went well, that's so good you're on track!

chillichillioil · 22/08/2022 14:29

Update - I called EPU and they told me to come in tomorrow morning which I'm shocked about. Hoping they give me a clear answer as they will hopefully know more 🤞🏻

Bub20 · 22/08/2022 14:41

@chilchillichillioil hope all goes well. EPAU in my area have always given me appointments next day when it's to do a scan to check everything's ok so I wouldnt let them fitting you in tomorrow be reason to worry. Fingers crossed for you!

Gilm0reGirl · 22/08/2022 14:42

🤞🏻🤞🏻 I hope it goes well for you!

🤞🏻🤞🏻 I hope it goes well for you!

@chilchillichillioil Sorry that was for you, deleted the reply by accident. Will keep everything crossed

AliceinSlumberland · 22/08/2022 14:55

@chillichillioil im sooo glad EPU are going to see you. I have read that the difference between weeks is literally mms at this point, and I agree that how could there be a heart beat at 4 weeks?? I really hope you get a clear answer tomorrow.

@Bub20 congrats on your scan, absolutely brilliant news

@Gilm0reGirl We’re almost due date twins, I’m 5w3days today and feel the same as you with fluctuating symptoms!

Sunnyxo · 22/08/2022 15:04

Welcome @Gilm0reGirl and congratulations! Love the name as a big fan of Gilmore girls myself 😃 Hopefully you won't have too intense symptoms when you're on your hols!

@chillichillioil good to hear that they can see you so soon! Hope it goes well!

Congratulations @Bub20 🥳

Hope you're scan went well @Longbin! The time does seem to drag 😂

@simplythequest great news you've got your scans booked in already!

Has anyone had really mild symptoms? I'm having some nausea, slightly sensitive nipples, and only the odd cramp maybe once a day if that. Bit worried as 7+5 and just expected there'd be more of a feeling that I'm pregnant by now...

Longbin · 22/08/2022 15:08

@chillichillioil the scan was good thank you, a couple of days out though as I was measuring 7+1 instead of 7+3 but the dates were aligned at my one last week.

I agree with the others on the dates, I've had scans at 5 weeks before and couldn't see anything really (they suspected an ectopic with my daughter), definitely less than your image and no heartbeat until 6 weeks. Hope everything goes well tomorrow

chillichillioil · 22/08/2022 15:09

@AliceinSlumberland thanks lovely! Will let you all know how I get on.

Feeling very grateful for this little Mumsnet community getting me through my anxious day. It's good to speak to people that are going through first trimester worries. OH has no clue what to say when I'm stressing 😂 x
