@Wouldloveanother I am also so grateful tho, I hope it's a good sign 😊

mummatara · 19/08/2022 16:19

@Wouldloveanother @Skylark1990 thank you ladies I think I just needed some others to tell me no. In my head I know it's not a good idea to go at 6 but it's so hard when they make all these things readily available to you and I've been sat stewing here for two days umming about it. Probably another thing I'm feeding my anxiety with that I just need to set aside 🙄 but I have managed another day without POAS 💪🏼 slowly winning 😂

I've already almost hurled the past two days and I've had heartburn everyday since 6DPO so it's not like I'm sitting here with no symptoms

Marshmallowmountain · 19/08/2022 16:22

Freaking out…I’m 4w3d. Had HCG checked today 506. But I’ve now got really bad period like cramps that are making me feel a little sick. Not painful as such but really uncomfortable? Is this normal 😩

AliceinSlumberland · 19/08/2022 16:24

@mummatara I agree I wouldn’t go, as tempting as it is, because you could be just a couple of normal days behind at the point and have no heartbeat yet and then you’d spend your entire holiday worried that something js wrong when in fact it’s just a bit early.

AliceinSlumberland · 19/08/2022 16:26

@Marshmallowmountain totalllly normal, I’ve been worried today because I’ve NOT had any cramping for a few days!

Marshmallowmountain · 19/08/2022 16:38

@AliceinSlumberland thanks! I think we will always find something to worry about! It’s totally subsided now.

AliceinSlumberland · 19/08/2022 17:21

So my SIL (husbands sister) had her gorgeous daughter today, the only problem is she’s used my fave name 😭 well kind of, I love Rosie for a girl and she’s called baby Lola-Rose. I initially thought it was just a middle name but it’s hyphenated so I won’t get away with it. So now I need to think of another girls name!

mummatara · 19/08/2022 17:38

@AliceinSlumberland ahhhh bummer I don't think you'll get away with it either 🙈 we were talking names last night actually last time we chose our girl name super quick but the boy name was near the end. Hubby thinks I'm mad because I don't want to use the girls name we chose before I was like oh no that was DS girls name we can't use that 🤣 he's not all that keen on my boy choice this time but I really vetoed his girl name but we did find a girl one we both liked so that's on the list

Wisher88 · 19/08/2022 17:42

Fainter one was Tues (10 dpo I believe) and then strip one from this eve, roughly 13 dpo. I think I ovulated day 16 of what is usually a 28 day cycle.
I think HCG levels are meant to double every couple of days - how often are other ppl checking?? ❤️

mummatara · 19/08/2022 17:47

@Wisher88 I took tests 8-14 dpo then last one at 19dpo none left in the house now

SprinGarden · 19/08/2022 17:53

Should be 6+5 today however had brownish discharge this morning 😣yesterday had nausea and tiredness whereas today I m only left with breast tenderness... Called the clinic and they ve booked me for another scan.. I was not happy with the nausea yesterday as was feeling bad but I d wish for it today to give me reassurance.

EL8888 · 19/08/2022 17:55

Can l join? Due 26th of April apparently. We were trying for over 4 years and this was our 3rd cycle of IVF so lm a bit 😮

Margo34 · 19/08/2022 17:56

@Wisher88 I tested last Mon, Tues, Fri, and digital today. And now I'm now.

Margo34 · 19/08/2022 17:58

@EL8888 welcome and congratulations! 💫

Sunnyxo · 19/08/2022 18:17

Oh no @SprinGarden 😞 I had the exact same on Wednesday when I was 6+6 but it only lasted an hour. When's your scan? Hope it goes all okay.
My friend who has a 3 month old said she got spotting at 6 weeks and throughout her pregnancy so that was a bit reassuring to hear.

AliceinSlumberland · 19/08/2022 18:18

I know @mummatara but such a first world problem especially when I don’t know yet if baby is even in the right place and growing! Also means we can chat about other ideas now which is fun.

@Wisher88 thats looking fabulous as the strip ones are less sensitive so to have a strong line like that on one if those is brilliant. I was testing every other day until 16dpo ish. I got myself into an anxious state which resulted in my doing s clear blue at 4am, after that I’ve binned all the tests and I’m going cold turkey!

@EL8888 wowwwww huge congratulations, I’m so happy for you, what a journey you’ve been on and now you’re pregnant!!! Welcome to our crew :)

AliceinSlumberland · 19/08/2022 18:18

@SprinGarden everything crossed for you, I think symptoms coming and going is totally normally but I get it, I really do.

SprinGarden · 19/08/2022 18:32

@AliceinSlumberland Thanks.

@Sunnyxo mine lasted an hour too.. I m due my scan Monday so should be 7+1... I hear a lot bout people who had spotting etc and have had a healthy pregnancy but because of my previous miscarriages it always starts like that... I m just constantly scared even when nothing s wrong

Skylark1990 · 19/08/2022 18:37

@AliceinSlumberland oh no! And a hyphenated name too, they've just used up TWO names haha. Lovely news though! I love all the Rose names too. I won't say too much as it might make me identifiable haha. But DDs name might be a bit like Rosie 😂 a BIT 😂

Tbh I reckon Rosie and Lola Rose are quite different. So I think you could still do it. I doubt Lola Rose will be nicknamed Rosie?

Love love love thinking about names but feel I shouldn't get too ahead of myself yet. Actually am loving Margot ATM @Margo34 😘 if we had another girl. I had Lily down for the previous pregnancy that I lost, I just felt it was a lily... But don't think I can use it now, after losing that baby 😔 doesn't quite feel right. Bit similar to you @mummatara and DS's girl name haha and yes I'm always convinced I'm carrying a girl. My DH wants to keep it a surprise this time so that'll be interesting if we do that... I'll probably be able to tell from the nub at 12 weeks tho anyway as I'm a complete nerd and looked into it all far too much 😂

Skylark1990 · 19/08/2022 18:39

@SprinGarden sorry to hear you are worrying! I've heard of many people having brown spotting and it all being totally ok, so hopefully nothing is wrong ☺️ brown blood is old blood too isn't it so it could be even as old as from implantation. That's good you have a scan on Mon to put your mind at ease x

AliceinSlumberland · 19/08/2022 18:40

I’m quite liking Josie and Gracie (nn for Grace) so maybe I’ll get over the loss of Rosie 😂

The child is actually named a nicer first name than Lola but I’ve changed it to be less identifiable, the actual name is lovely though.

I agree thinking about names feels a bit like tempting fate but it distracts me from worrying for a while!

B1993 · 19/08/2022 18:48

Congrats to @EL8888! According to the NHS due date calculator I’m 27th so you’re a day ahead of me.

—————-

I hope no one minds me saying this but I wanted to address something with you all RE symptoms. I have mentioned with DS I hardly had any symptoms throughout my entire pregnancy. I wasn’t sick a single time, barely felt nauseous and didn’t have cravings, aversions or even sore breasts! Despite that, I had a healthy pregnancy and now have a healthy 3 year old. At the time though, it bought me lots of anxiety and stress. I had practically convinced myself I wouldn’t see anything at the 12w scan (even through we saw the heartbeat at 6+ weeks). I thought the symptomless first trimester meant my pregnancy was doomed. I lived almost every day of my pregnancy in fear that something bad was going to happen.

I know when you say you can’t wait for nausea or it’ll be fine when the sickness or symptoms start you know things will be fine isn’t meant any other way to reassure those people. But, for me, as someone who didn’t have symptoms, reading stuff like that always made my anxiety 100 times worse and it still does now. I just wanted to say that for anyone that may read this and feel how I did with DS that symptoms don’t mean a pregnancy won’t fail, and a lack of them doesn’t mean it will.

As always, wishing everyone a happy and healthy 9 months.

Ginmonkey84 · 19/08/2022 18:49

Got my scan, reality is definitely setting in as a mum of 4 😅

Strong heartbeat and we could actually see small movements. Measuring exact for dates 7+1

@Wisher88 I plan to take a FR tomorrow (14DPO) and then that’ll be it. I took a FR at 10DPO so I’m hoping to see good progression 🤞🏻

SprinGarden · 19/08/2022 18:59

@Skylark1990 thanks. yeah only brown so hopefully something old and little one s still there 😊
