I had a scan today 7+, bad news sadly, no heartbeat or growth from week 5. I'm off to feel sorry for myself and drink a little wine this evening. Wishing you all the best of luck ❤️

So sorry to read this, wishing you well x

@Ginmonkey84 good luck for today let us know how it goes.

The scans are expensive here too in SW LDN I’m not booking one just yet but think I probably will. We travelled a bit for our last one to get a slightly cheaper deal and the place was just awful. Like tragic. On our second scan they had no running water and the wait was so long I had to pee and refill 😂 so won’t be going back there!

@KilledAnotherPlant have you looked at peek a baby- £45 for a reassurance scan with 6 photos- in Mitcham…near SW London :)

Longbin · 19/08/2022 09:41

@ANiceBigCupOfTea so sorry, take care of yourself

Skylark1990 · 19/08/2022 10:03

So sorry to hear this @ANiceBigCupOfTea 😔 hope you're ok x

@Catkinder no worries - thanks for your reply too and yes exactly, so much to think about!

@hotelp yes absolutely, it's clear that having enough is very important, it's just a matter of ensuring the right dose. As you say that will depend on personal factors, as to whether or not it needs to be more than the standard NHS recommended dose. Good to chat with doctor if have any risk factors as you say.

mummatara · 19/08/2022 10:16

@Skylark1990 I have indeed managed to hold off it does help I don't have any other than my one digi in the house otherwise I probably would have caved. I've said to myself I can do my digi on Monday and that's it it's only two sleeps to get through 💪🏼

@Margo34 congrats on 3+ haha I love that feels like a dye stealer is A* I've never been one of those kind of students anyway😂 before this pregnancy I had never even heard of a dye stealer I did one or two tests and that's it 😳 oh how my life has changed

@xttcbabyno1x congrats lovely

@Ginmonkey84 good luck 💕

@ANiceBigCupOfTea so sorry lovely big hugs ❤️

@Marshmallowmountain @Wisher88 and @1stimer16 I'm not far behind you all. Currently 4 weeks today! 😁

Some of your mentioned you not as far as your last period puts you as. The NHS app puts my DD as 27/04/23 since I have shorter cycles. I implanted early so I'm guessing that will be about right?! Or will that make me later? No idea how to work it out 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Squareroundabout I've been cramping consistently since I ovulated! It's started to ease up yesterday and not felt much today at exactly 4 weeks. Period like cramping is normal but if it's very psi fil it's best to get checked out.

B1993 · 19/08/2022 10:20

@ANiceBigCupOfTea I'm so sorry 😞 Sending well wishes to you and your family. 💔

Sorry, but what is psi fil? Thanks !

OttilieKnackered · 19/08/2022 10:31

@ANiceBigCupOfTea I’m so sorry. It’s such a horrible heart dropping moment to get such bad news. Look after yourself.

B1993 · 19/08/2022 10:36

@Squareroundabout Sorry for the major typo!! I meant very painful!

I had some light brown spotting a couple of days ago (it's since disappeared, thankfully). GP said it can be normal, as well as cramping, but if the cramps are painful (where you need to take Odin meds to manage them) it's best to go to the EPCU.

B1993 · 19/08/2022 10:37

**pain meds!!
urgh, can't seem to type at all. Too army to blame baby brain?! 😂

1stimer16 · 19/08/2022 10:40

@ANiceBigCupOfTea so sorry to hear :(

@B1993 one of my apps says 28/04 and another 27/04. I think my timing is about right as my digital came up as 2-3 weeks and I ovulated around 5th August so it makes me 4 weeks and 2 days

I’m going to try and stop testing now as I think it’s driving me a bit crazy seeing if the lines have got darker, here is the latest- bottom one is 14DPO- fingers crossed everything is ok!

mummatara · 19/08/2022 10:43

@B1993 🤣 never too early to blame baby brain if you ask me 🙊

hotelp · 19/08/2022 10:43

So today my boobs have realised they are pregnant are ridiculously vascular and veiny Grin

B1993 · 19/08/2022 11:05

@1stimer16 I have taken a day off testing today (13DPO) but plan to use my last FR test tomorrow. I took one at 10DPO as the cheap strip tests didn't show much progression from 8/9DPO so wanted to put my mind at ease. I'm hoping to see a dye stealer when I test tomorrow, but it might be a bit early?! 🤔 After that, I'm going to tell myself I need to stop testing. Saying that, all the talks of the digital ones with weeks makes me want to try that too! 🙈

@B1993 I think that’s what I was waiting for, can you see my pic? Do you think the last one is as good as a dye stealer?

B1993 · 19/08/2022 11:10

@1stimer16 The line is definitely darker than the control so I'd say that counts! 😍

Margo34 · 19/08/2022 11:14

@1stimer16 yes! An A* dye stealer for you!

B1993 · 19/08/2022 11:15

@mummatara If only it's an excuse I could use with everyone! 😂 We've already told close family (we were super excited and told everyone straight away with DS too) but I'm trying to hold off telling everyone else until around the 12 week mark.

Luckily I'm not in work with it being the summer holidays. We return on 31st August so I'm hoping I can keep it a secret. 🤞🏻 My TA guessed STRAIGHT away with my first... I kept denying it until one day I just said, 'YES!' when she asked. So her and my head knew from around 5/6 weeks... 😭

Margo34 · 19/08/2022 11:19

@B1993 I'm hoping my bloat will settle down a bit by the end of school holidays, although I'm moving year groups and working within a different year group team next year so they don't know me as well and I'm hoping I can get away with "I ate too much over the holidays" 😂 my old year group partner would guess straight away though so I'll have to try and avoid her because she'll definitely ask as she's direct and nosey 🤭

mummatara · 19/08/2022 11:23

@B1993 😂 true I don't think anyone takes any notice when I have ditsy moments there's too many of them in the normal way😳 I've already told work there's only a few of us in my office and I just can't be arsed to sit here and pretend I'm all hunky dory when I feel like crap 🤣 also it won't be any surprise to them as we lost one in June so they are well expecting the news

I've told my close family and a couple of very close friends but we haven't told DH family as his mum said she didn't want to know if we were until after the 12 week scan because it was too sad last time 🙄

mummatara · 19/08/2022 11:25

@Margo34 oh yes I spent the holidays baking and eating 🤣 someone in my office said the other day oh look you have a bump I was like errr no that's just fat and bloat 😳😂

Beccah1610 · 19/08/2022 11:31

@B1993 Good to hear that I’m not alone with the bloating haha already feel like my jeans are tight even though I know it’s far too early to be putting on weight

AliceinSlumberland · 19/08/2022 11:35

Oh @ANiceBigCupOfTea I’m so so sorry, what horrible news. Sending lots and lots of love x

Margo34 · 19/08/2022 11:39

@mummatara @B1993 we haven't told anyone yet and won't until 12w scan. I haven't even told my parents about my miscarriages this year either, my mum isn't very compassionate or understanding of things she cannot relate to or hasn't experienced herself. My MIL knows about the MCs as DH wanted to tell her (well beyond the time they happened though) and she cried - cried for me and DH though I think. It's very triggering for her because she had her own fertility struggles and DH is an only child as a result, but it does mean she is very understanding and supportive, more so than my own mother. My in-laws and little sister will be the first to know....but not until we're out of the first trimester.
