My boobs were a bit tender for a few days but have gone ‘back down’ now, feel really light and painless, like just after a period! It was the same in my last pregnancy all the way through - literally no pain or swelling etc didn’t even go up a bra size. Milk engorgement is a different story 😂

@Wouldloveanother , thank you that's so reassuring! So sounds like them going down doesn't necessarily mean the pregnancy is not progressing well! Am also on progesterone so I thought it should pretty much permanently affect the boobs getting heavy, but doesn't seem to be the case.
Hope you're feeling well!

OttilieKnackered · 17/08/2022 17:12

Thanks everyone for your encouragement and kind words. @CinderellaFant I really hope it’s not bad news.

AliceinSlumberland · 17/08/2022 17:19

@Margo34 no but I have Pcos which can increase likelihood, I am on medication for it. Thing is I need to stop being ridiculous and just relax, what will be will be is how I’m trying to think at this point.

@CinderellaFant I’d be tempted to get a private scan at tbe weekend to be honest but that’s just me.

Tubbytele · 17/08/2022 17:52

@CinderellaFant really sorry that you're going through this. Sending you a virtual hug and hoping it's all ok.

Margo34 · 17/08/2022 20:23

@AliceinSlumberland you'll start to relax more when you reach the 12w milestone and have your dating scan, then you'll worry about something else until the next pregnancy milestone and so on, and then you'll have baby and worry even more about every little parenting decision! It's a relentless ride of questioning everything! 🤭
Fingers crossed it's a smooth ride for you and all of us here 🤞😊

Margo34 · 17/08/2022 20:25

@CinderellaFant sorry for what you're going through, fingers crossed for you 🤞

Tropicana1 · 17/08/2022 20:34

@CinderellaFant so sorry to see this, really hoping it all works out ok for you and it's just a bit of spotting

Waitingforababe · 17/08/2022 20:45

Hello- has anyone experience light fresh blood when wiping? Also passed a blood clot. Had HCG test today. Hopefully get the results tomorrow. 4w+4days very anxious.

alwaysseeingstars · 17/08/2022 20:59

Hi all, hope you're all doing well?
I got my 3+ today so very happy with that! No more testing now 😊

Skylark1990 · 17/08/2022 21:01

Just catching up..

@CinderellaFant really sorry to hear this, my fingers are crossed for you it'll be ok 🤞🫶

@Margo34 I'm on it till 16 weeks. I would definitely make sure they give them to you for 16 weeks. Common to get the prescription for a month at a time but the trial which showed progesterone can really help women who've had 2 or more miscarriages was based on it being taken 400mg twice a day until 16 weeks. I think it would be quite risky to stop before then, especially before 12 weeks. It was called the Prism trial I think, it was done via Tommy's - have gou heard of it? Have a read if not. Glad it seems to have stopped the spotting! 💕😘🙏🥰

Loved all the cravings talk... I read it as I was literally stuffing my face with pizza having finally given in to my craving for pizza! Been wanting it since the weekend 😂 I have been quite nauseous today - kept at bay by eating! Seem to have a HUGE appetite. Highlights today were: 3 pieces of avo toast for breakfast, cinnamon scroll and aforementioned pizza. I feel I'm more on cravings ATM than aversions but I'm sure the aversions will come, all being well.

I have a feeling this bean is a girl as I ovulated 3 days after we had sex. Anyone else aware of this theory about sperm swim times etc? I am still unsure whether we should find out. DH keep for a surprise. We found out with DD. I think good stuff about doing either!

I'm sure there's more I need to reply to but I'm zonked so will leave it there tonight... Sending you all good dreams x

Skylark1990 · 17/08/2022 21:05

Oh also thank you so much guys for the reassurance about the antibiotics... Ear feeling a bit better already so hoping all will be ok 😊

KennAdams · 17/08/2022 21:15

Stopped spotting now. And ingot my 3+ last night after 2-3 a few days ago. I know it can't tell me much but I'm taking it as a positive.

@Skylark1990 glad your ears feeling better.

Fingers crossed for you @CinderellaFant

chillichillioil · 17/08/2022 21:17

Caved today and went for a private scan at 5+5. I had some shooting pains on my left side so was panicking it was ectopic. I saw a little yolk sac but no fetal pole. They said it's normal not to see it as this stage, but still worried. They didn't do an internal scan either it was external. Booked to go again for when I'm 7 weeks exactly! Hopefully I see it. Hope you're all doing ok xx

AliceinSlumberland · 18/08/2022 08:14

Morning all, @chillichillioil brilliant news that baby is in the right place and looks to be developing well, bet you’re counting down now until your next one!

Really hope those who have had some bleeding are all okay this morning and everything seems good.

I did my last clear blue digital this morning and got 2-3 weeks again, I was kind of hoping for 3+ but I’m only 4w6d today so 2-3 weeks is right. I’m not buying anymore, they just feed my anxiety haha and won’t change the outcome.

Lapin387 · 18/08/2022 08:38

Another bad night with my 2.5 year old and I feel dreadful this morning. Slightly nauseated but just no energy. Trying to pull myself together and shower but feels like a mammoth task. Then need to head to Clarks for school shoes. Times like this I feel a bit of an idiot for having a third (who is desperately wanted regardless).

hotelp · 18/08/2022 08:45

Hi all,
Thank you to everyone who sent kind a reassuring messages about my concern of the non-progressing 2-3 on clear blue. I went away for a few days and have just come back and got my 3+ Smile very glad as those tests were becoming an expensive past time! Could have paid for a private scan with the amount I ended up spending on them!
Not having much in the way of symptoms, last Thursday I was bed bound with nausea but also had diarrhoea, so wondering if that was an unrelated stomach upset. Since then very occasionally sicky and refluxy, with just very sensitive nipples!
Think I'm 6+1 now so hoping to get some appointments for booking soon.

chillichillioil · 18/08/2022 09:25

@AliceinSlumberland it did, but then I was also hoping to see more (even though I knew I wouldn't)

Good news with the clear blue! I also stopped once I got the 3+ it's reassuring isn't it. My other half went mental at how many of those ones I purchased - must have been about 20 oops! Xxx

B1993 · 18/08/2022 09:31

Hi,

I'm hoping to join you all! I'm currently only 3+6 (got my first positive at 3+2) so it's very early days but if everything goes as planned, I'll be due around 27th April. Any DD twins out there?

This is baby #2 for my husband and I - my first born turned 3 years old last month. He already knows about the baby but doesn't seem that interested just yet!🙈😂

Longbin · 18/08/2022 09:35

For those of you that are new joiners, if you'd like to join the fb group, this is the link fb.me/g/p_Qw2UR17xfWUmVCVT/D3hhUayI

Skylark1990 · 18/08/2022 09:39

Hi @chillichillioil congrats on baby being in right place, I had a similar scan at 5+2 - couldn't see much except for yolk sac but they don't expect to see much at this stage!

@hotelp we are due date twins alongside @Wouldloveanother also 6+1 over here! Currently have a scan booked for when I'll be 7+1 but I am considering pushing it back a week. Still trying to decide haha.

Feeling quite sicky today, after coming into our bed at about 5am DD slept in till 830am so didn't wake up till quite late haha she is our alarm clock. I have loads to do at work so need to muster the energy somehow!

Hope everyone has good days x

Skylark1990 · 18/08/2022 09:41

@KennAdams I'm glad the spotting has stopped! If you keep getting it you could possibly ask for some progesterone - normally they only give it if you've had previous losses (not sure if you have?) but I know it can also be given if spotting continues for ages ...x

Hey, I just wanted to say that I thought my first was a girl based off that theory but had my son instead! Might be true for some, but not for me!

I heard that sweet cravings = girl and savoury = boy 🤷🏻‍♀️

My husband is the opposite and when I suggested we don't find out this time, he vetoed the idea. I had an early gender scan last pregancy as I couldn't wait to know. Now I know we're going to find out, I'm considering doing the Sneak Peek test! It's 99.9% accurate form 6 weeks but is expensive so I'm undecided.

hotelp · 18/08/2022 09:52

Omg never heard of this sneakpeak! There is so much more available now than when I had DD 4.5!

alwaysseeingstars · 18/08/2022 09:52

@CinderellaFant how are you feeling today?
@chasingtherainbow1 I've had that too a few times, very strange! Get the feeling in my middle-stomach area too.
Re finding out the sex (sorry I missed a lot of posts yesterday 😆) my DH is desperate to find out and I'm not fussed either way so think we will! Plan to keep it a surprise from family etc though 😊

They didn't have it when I was pregnant with DS either!

I'm so impatient so will probably end up ordering it 😂
