@Margo34 think this can be quite common is it only a little? How far along are you? Xx

Yes it is common. It is how all my previous losses started too so it's inevitably the first thing my mind jumps to 😔

Currently 5w (MC 2019, DC1 2020, MC 3/22, MC 6/22).

I've woken up to some strange blood this morning. TMI but it was like a bit stringy. It had stopped.

I've resigned myself to the idea that this pregnancy isn't viable. Still waiting to hear off the EPU though.

Sorry @Orangesaretheonly 💐

Hello everyone. I’m new to mumsnet- I found out last night I’m pregnant and I will be due in April (I’m 5 weeks today), so thought I’d say hi and meet some other mums to be! I literally cried the house down when I saw the test last night, so many emotions! I shouted my husband and showed him the test- while in floods of tears. It was the most incredible moment. I’m so excited but I’m feeling a bit scared just to get to the 12 week mark- I’m guessing this is completely normal? It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, we bought our house in Nov, just got married and now we’re expecting! I didn’t want to wait much longer though cause I’m 32.

We got married just a few weeks ago, and we had spoken about starting a family after the wedding. But as I had my ovulation pain (which I often get) the day after the wedding we decided to try. And then on honeymoon I started having sore boobs just 4 days after conception… and then I had what I pretty much knew was implantation cramps, I also had a bit of brown discharge. I just knew I was, but it was only until yday when I was 6 days late I found the courage and bravery to do a test! I’ve filled in a self-referral form for the midwife so I assume they’ll contact me to book me in. Look forward to meeting some of you! (Virtually!)

much love xxx

@41andtryingforfirst @Orangesaretheonly big hugs

Longbin · 15/08/2022 12:10

So sorry @41andtryingforfirst

41andtryingforfirst · 15/08/2022 12:14

Thanks all. Seems my body has failed me again. 2 back to back miscarriages? It's bloody horrendous. They said that the 2.8mm they saw last week isn't there anymore. Told me I have to decide how I want to manage the miscarriage now. Can't believe I'm going through this again.

Could someone do me a favour and start up a thread 3? I'm OP on this thread and will continue to get updates but tbh I need to take a step back for a bit and sort my head out.

Wishing you all the very best. I've loved getting to know you all x

So so sorry @41andtryingforfirst <3 this is heartbreaking. Take all the time you need and look after yourself. I found the Tommy's charity to be really helpful to speak to, after my third loss. You will get through this and I'm sure you'll have a little baby one day <3 xxx

Banderbear · 15/08/2022 16:15

@Strawb27 Hi and welcome! Congratulations, that sounds like an actual fairytale. 12 weeks seems like an eternity to me and from talking to others that’s totally normal. The midwife should contact you with a booking appointment for around week 10 and a dating scan for around week 12. Mine came in 2 separate letters, one last week and one today.

Longbin · 15/08/2022 16:26

@41andtryingforfirst if you're using the app you can swipe on the thread and hide it. Take care of yourself, thinking of you x

Hi everyone, it's been two years since I've dared join these threads again, in that time I've had three miscarriages at 5-6 weeks, but not since September 2020 and around 5 chemical pregnancies in 2021 and nothing since. Last month I had some polyps removed with a d&c and I'm now 5 weeks pregnant, even writing that feels weird, I can't believe it and I'm really airing on the side of caution and trying to protect myself from heartbreak. I'm comforted by two bright lines on my daily frer tests, would love them to be a bit darker but everyone is different. I'm still constantly checking for blood when I go to the loo, I did have spotting for the first 5 days but that seems to have passed and stopped almost a week ago, which I'm hoping is a sign that there's a snuggled little bean in there.
I don't seem to have many symptoms so far, a bit of heartburn and a heavy feeling in my uterus, how is everyone else at 5 weeks? My due date would be 19th April
