@SkeletonSkins With my first I had a 6 week cycle but I still put my lmp date because that's what they like to go by just in case you're wrong about ovulation. I knew I wasn't wrong but it worked out quite well in that I got a scan at 10 weeks which was too early for the tests so had another at 12 weeks - the extra scan was nice!

This time I took some supplements to help regulate my cycle and it was either 28 or 31 days which is amazing for me, it's usually 35-42. So my lmp will be about right this time.

@simplythequest just tried this and it gives quite different dates!!

@SkeletonSkins thank you! It was incredible really, my DH was putting the bins out 😂and I shouted out for him to come upstairs. I was only 10dpo so it was very faint, but definitely there! Huge congratulations to you too :) it sounds like we’ll be due around the same time as I’m 4w 1d today based on ovulation. I’m also pretty certain as I was using OPKs.

The self referral form for the hospital I will go with only asks for a LMP so I put that, will try to mention that I think I’m a couple of weeks behind when I get the chance to.

@Springblooms08 congratulations and welcome! Because of your longer cycles and you know when you ovulated I would go off the ovulation date, not your LMP date as that could only add confusion / anxiety as based on your LMP you'd be further along so e.g. scans will most probably date you earlier and it could throw you. If I were you I'd work out your due date / how far along you are using an ovulation due date calculator - if you had a positive opk on 30 July then you most likely ovulated on 31 so this will be conception date. mama natural and what to expect websites both have conception/ ovulation date calculators. You can then explain to the midwives etc about your LMP date too but you'll be prepared because you know how far along you really are.

I got pregnant this time straight after a MC so similar boat, based on LMP / the MC it was beginning July/ end June but I know I ovulated 20 July so this has helped as I have an idea of where I am. A very early scan to rule out ectopic on Fri put me at 5 weeks which is bang on my ovulation date 😊

@Springblooms08 I had a positive OPK on the same day as you, so I've assumed I ovulated on the 31st, making the due date the 23rd of April! ☺️ I'm going off ovulation date because my cycles are long, too x

How is everyone today? I'm back at work today after a week off a dreading it a bit... I had a tiny spew this morning after I drank some water on an empty stomach and it came straight back up, but the nausea is defo coming and going ATM, not that strong yet. 5+5 today!

@Skylark1990 I don't have any nausea yet but my sense of smell has gone insane so I'm expecting the nausea to appear soon. Hopefully. I'm still so paranoid about something going wrong.

@Orangesaretheonly so sorry to hear that 😢 hope your ok. I had a chemical miscarriage in June, it's a weird one to get your head around. Lots of good luck for the future xx

@Skylark1990 thank you that makes total sense. Definitely agree re going off ovulation date - when I found out I changed the mode on Flo app and then adjusted the weeks it was estimating me at based on ovulation. Hope you are doing well :)

@Skylark1990 first vvvv tiny bit of nausea today, but I'm only around 5+2 so I'm hoping it's not going to be too horrific! Very minimal though and has gone now so we'll see.

@TheCakeIsALie18 I’m 5+5 today. Due date 12th April. Found out on 29th though so it feels like longer!

@Skylark1990 same here - have been retching but no vomit yet, always when I’ve got an empty stomach and have been moving a bit rather than sat down.

I’m deliberating when to tell work. It really, really isn’t good timing for them for a lot of reasons. But feel like I’m going to have to say something sooner rather than later. Eeek

@TheCakeIsALie18 congratulations! I’m 4w 1d and also feeling very anxious. I found out at 3w 3d and for the first few days I did lots of tests and stressed myself out about them getting darker or not. On Friday I asked my DH to hide all the tests and I’ve felt a lot better and less anxious since then. I’m pregnant unless something changes is the way I’m trying to look at it. My boobs are v v sore and swollen so I know something is happening! How are you feeling?

I have no intention on telling anyone (other than immidiate family) until we have a scan at 7 weeks. Had a CP in June and am on edge until I get some proof everything is fine xxx

@Springblooms08 I know that feeling. Once I've run out of the tests I have I won't be buying anymore haha. I'm currently testing everyday to see the lines get darker and that is actually helping my anxiety at the moment xxx

Hi everyone, hope you're all well. I'm now roughly 6+5 and just feeling sick and tired ALL the time. I've a three day wedding I'm heading to tomorrow so we'll see how that goes!
@41andtryingforfirst how are you getting on? I haven't heard anything from you in a bit and I've been keeping you in my thoughts. Hope everything is going well

@Skylark1990 This is what I’ve done, although the early scan would be lovely I know I’d worry myself silly even though I know why it’s behind!

I’ve just rung up and self referred to the midwife, feels real now. Hope I’ve not jinxed myself! I just said my last period was four days later than it was so that it lines up with my ovulation date.

@Springblooms08 think we’re very near to each other as I’m 4w 3d today and my boobs are sore! That’s my only symptom really other than some tiredness but think that’s more lack of caffeine. I’ve not tested today, the first day I’ve not tested since I got the BFP. I need to stop. I’m going to do one mid week and then my last clear blue date one at the weekend and then that’s it, I’m done.

@Margo34 nice to see you again! I'm sorry to hear you're spotting, how many weeks are you? I'm on progesterone - I haven't yet had any spotting but I've heard it can cause it as can irritate the cervix. When I insert it I actually do it kinda up the side of my vagina so it's not directly on my cervix if that makes sense? haha might just be the way my vagina/cervix is so not sure if that would work for everyone... also doing it rectally can help give the cervix a break!

@41andtryingforfirst Is your scan today? Absolutely everything crossed for you if so x

@Margo34 definitely think spotting is totally normal although I’d feel the same too, hope it stops for you soon.
