LilyDaniels · 13/08/2022 16:06

@NiceToChat88 I literally only take Folic and Vitamin D! Hope that's enough

limoncelloo · 13/08/2022 16:16

Hi everyone, jumping on the new thread- thanks for the messages!

Apparently I've likely irritated the lining of my oesophagus. The dr has put me on prochlorperazine 3 x daily.

I've taken one but I'm so wary of taking medication when pregnant but just trying to tell myself that's it's going to be worse for the baby if I can't keep any food down and sicking up blood 😩. I do feel a little better but just very drowsy.

Hope you're all having a fab Saturday ❤️

xttcbabyno1x · 13/08/2022 16:17

@NiceToChat88 I take pregnacare plus which has it all in :) xx

ancienthouse · 13/08/2022 16:17

@SkeletonSkins it is such a worry, I never know if I'm taking the right things or not it just feels like guesswork!

I'm also testing like a crazy person. I think I'll stop once I get a 3+ and then only test again if I suspect something is up. My last pregnancy ended at 6 weeks and the tests going down were helpful to know what was coming, but I don't think they're particularly accurate once you get past 6 weeks.

limoncelloo · 13/08/2022 16:18

Here's the link about the HCG levels for the clear blue weeks indicator for those who asked :)

SprinGarden · 13/08/2022 16:27

@SkeletonSkins i have been testing everyday as I ve previously had 2 chemical pregnancies and I feel reassured with a positive. However at the clinic they ve told me to stop doing it and save my money. They said it may still be positive even if you ve lost it or there is pregnancy tissue releasing the hormone.. But i still can't stop testing 😏

SprinGarden · 13/08/2022 16:29

@NiceToChat88 i take pregnacare max... I know I don't need all those extra ones as I eat healthy however I feel if I can help this baby come about in any way I ll do it.

SkeletonSkins · 13/08/2022 16:38

@LilyDaniels no way, do they?! I definitely need to get some of that, it’s my favourite!

@ancienthouse @SprinGarden feel glad I’m not alone in my testing but I know it can’t really tell me anything about the outcome, just ordered some of the clear blue ones that date it as I’ve not done one of those yet. If I get 3+ on that next weekend I think I’ll stop.

Wouldloveanother · 13/08/2022 16:44

honestly those blood week indicators!

I worked out that the threshold for 3+ weeks - 2700 I believe - is actually much higher than the average woman’s HCG at 21dpo which is 1061. So most women testing on that day would get 2-3. And the average woman would get 3+ at 23dpo.

is anyone else nervous about telling work? Blush

alwaysseeingstars · 13/08/2022 16:57

Checking in from the last thread, thanks @41andtryingforfirst 😊

@Tropicana1 nice to see you joining!!

Anybody else struggling with headaches? I'm on long term meds for migraines but my head has been awful the past 2 days 😔

alwaysseeingstars · 13/08/2022 16:59

@Wouldloveanother that's really interesting (and annoying!! Why do they do that? 😆)
I'm going to try mine in a couple of days I think...

Tropicana1 · 13/08/2022 17:48

@ancienthouse thanks! Thats reassuring 😊 think I'm just being paranoid!

@alwaysseeingstars hey! ☺️

Sunnyxo · 13/08/2022 17:57

@Wouldloveanother I’m abit nervous about telling work, when do people usually inform them? I defo want to wait as long as I can to😂

bluebubbles12 · 13/08/2022 18:34

Ahh here you all are! I thought the other one had been quiet today haha. Joining from the last thread 😊

mummatara · 13/08/2022 19:24

@Tropicana1 I've had covid in all three of my pregnancies 😳 at this point I feel like it's a pregnancy symptom 🙈 the first I was 8 months in and everything was fine. The second and third pregnancies I've had it right at the very beginning so around 3/4 weeks. I unfortunately lost my second at 10 weeks but I doubt covid had anything to do with it it was just bad luck. This time around I'm only 5 weeks so keeping everything crossed we get further than our 10 weeks before 🤞🏼

faithtrustandpixiedust · 13/08/2022 19:28

@Wouldloveanother a bit nervous about telling work, I only started in March and we are very short staffed so I suppose I feel a bit cheeky. I didn't plan on saying anything until after my 12 week scan but if this sickness keeps up then I think I'll have no choice.

mummatara · 13/08/2022 19:35

@Wouldloveanother I'll probably tell work fairly soon I work in an office with 6 other ladies it's hard to keep it secret when your feeling rubbish they're extremely perceptive 😂 it won't be unexpected for them since they knew about my last pregnancy which I lost in June

NiceToChat88 · 13/08/2022 19:55

Maybe TMI but does anyone have more discharge than normal? Switching between clear/creamy! Xx

mummatara · 13/08/2022 20:08

@NiceToChat88 yes! It's totally normal I had it with my other 2

Tropicana1 · 13/08/2022 20:22

@NiceToChat88 yes same here I keep rushing to check if it's bleeding I'm so damp 🤦🏼‍♀️

@mummatara thanks for sharing! I'm just 4 weeks today, reckon I've had it a couple of days already as I've had a sore throat for a few days now and otherwise pretty symptom free. Only tested today because of a slight tickly cough

Emeal123 · 13/08/2022 21:05

@NiceToChat88 so glad you mentioned that I’m the same! @Tropicana1 i also keep rushing to the toilet to check!

feeling a bit moody this evening don’t think the hot weather has helped - my poor partner lol x

ViMa1820 · 13/08/2022 21:11

Hi everyone just checking in.
I have two little ones so don't get much chance to check my phone but just catch up as and when I can.
Think I've caught a bit of a tummy bug from one of my LO, had really had diarrhoea and cramps associated with it. Not aware of it being a preg symptom so assuming it's a bug. But making me feel worried. Still have my usual preg symptoms such as sore boobs/nipples and fatigue.
Hoping everything is ok!

Monkeyface7 · 13/08/2022 21:27

Hi all,
I hope you are all surviving in this heat! I’m just joining in this thread if that’s ok. I have a question which I think is silly, but wanted to ask people who knew… going in to week 6 is it possible to be showing a slight bump or not really?! I’m not telling friends family yet so can’t really ask someone I know- sorry to bother you with it! When would it show in your experience please? Monkeyface!🙊

Monkeyface7 · 13/08/2022 21:30

That is such a good idea about the non alcoholic drinks and pouring in to bottle too!

Longbin · 13/08/2022 21:36

@limoncelloo I hope the irritation clears up quickly for you and glad they found the cause. I'm going to try and get something for anti sickness on Monday. Even if it stops the sickness but the nausea is still there then it's worth it I guess. I have no idea how people function normally with morning sickness, I was in lockdown last time and that was bad enough, let alone going to work and trying to live a normal life!
