@hellosunshineagainx thanks! That's all I meant by area, wasn't after anything more specific!

Kayleehawkes · 02/08/2022 20:24

Hi all currently 8 weeks 5 days ! And the nausea is horrendous 🤢 I am trying to eat little and often which helps for like 20mins. I have my midwife apt next week and hopefully a scan soon after.
Is anyone else just feeling nausea but not being sick ? This is my first pregnancy and finding it odd I am not being sick following the nausea 🤪

muminlndn · 02/08/2022 20:29

Hi all, I've been thread watching so thought I should join properly! I'm 7 weeks and this is my second, my daughter is nearly 4.
Currently very bloated, get nausea when hungry (nearly constant) and not feeling super cheery, but so far I'm managing better than my first pregnancy.
I've got appt at 8 weeks & scan at 12 weeks booked in so excited for those 😊

muminlndn · 02/08/2022 20:33

@JB2021 I had a scan at 10 weeks last time, but only because they thought it was 12 by lmp (long cycle & late ovulation). We got to have a look but I had to come back at 12 weeks for the proper scan - so I think they don't like to book you early in case your dates are a few days off and you end up being sent home. I would personally tell family without the scan if it was a rare opportunity :)

rach971 · 02/08/2022 20:38

@havanamama That's been making me anxious too 😩

@Kayleehawkes I've had nausea and no sickness, was the same in my first pregnancy. Some days the nausea is worse than others. Some days I feel fine and other times I'll get a wave of nausea where I feel close to puking!

Kayleehawkes · 02/08/2022 20:41

@rach971 thanks for replying that makes me feel better , I feel I could be sick but it doesn't happen. When does it get better ? Haha

rach971 · 02/08/2022 20:44

@Kayleehawkes No idea 🤣 I'm 6+5 so still in the midst of it 😩

Hi everyone,

I've been reading from the start but have been reluctant to post. I need somewhere to rant.

I booked a private scan as I had a bad feeling and am currently going through my second missed miscarriage. I was due 1st March. I've been trying so hard to stay positive for everyone else around me so I don't upset them. But right now I'm alone and feeling it all. My DH is keen to try again asap and although I know I want another baby, the thought of going through all the extreme anxiety and sickness for potentially the same outcome is horrible.

I don't really know what I want out of this post, I just wanted to put down how I'm really feeling.

Cats23 · 02/08/2022 21:05

This is Dc 5 for us,
Congratulations on the twins!
I have twin brothers and cousins ( My fathers sister also had twins )
We always joke ' It might be twins' with each scan..., Be interesting to see if this happens in our last pregnancy!

Cats23 · 02/08/2022 21:06

@13Nikki , sorry to read the above. x

Franklin321 · 02/08/2022 21:13

@13Nikki so sorry, I’ve had 3 losses so understand 💔 take care of yourself and take time to heal before trying again if that’s what you need

13Nikki · 02/08/2022 21:24

@Franklin321 thank you for your reply. I'm sorry for your losses too. I'm not really sure what I want at the moment to be honest. I think you're right, I know time will help and I've got so many positives to focus on at the moment.

Franklin321 · 02/08/2022 21:34

@13Nikki i had counselling after my first loss which helped, but time was definitely the biggest healer and being open and speaking about my losses also helped. I gained a lot of support from friends and family and so many of them had lost themselves that I had no idea until sadly we were all part of the worst group together 💖

havanamama · 02/08/2022 17:44

Hey! I was posting in the 1st thread but left it as I found that too many people were mentioning miscarriage etc and it was not good for my mental health.

now I’m 8+4 weeks , have had 1st ultrasound at 7+5, baby was measuring 7+4 and has a strong heart beat ☺️
got my 12 week scan and consultant phone call in 3 weeks

Hey @havanamama ❤️ glad you're comfortable enough to come back! Early pregnancy is a rough ride for sure. So pleased to hear your scan went well, it's so lovely seeing their little heart ticking away

@Franklin321 I completely agree. The first time I only told a small number of people, but as time has passed I've spoken about it more and more. It's shocking how many people have been through similar when you start speaking about it. I definitely don't think it's spoken about openly enough.

Rainbowbaby23 · 02/08/2022 22:37

Have been getting some one sided pain since around 6pm, hoping its nothing but have an appointment with EPU tomorrow

TeddyBeans · 02/08/2022 22:55

Hope you get some reassurance tomorrow @Rainbowbaby23

@13Nikki sorry for your loss 💐 I don't mean to be insensitive but you might find more support on the pregnancy loss boards.

Winniesma · 02/08/2022 23:07

Hi everyone, I'd like to join!
I'm 6 + 6, due 22/3/23. We had ivf and this is my first pregnancy. Had an early scan today and saw the heart beating. Reading everyone's experiences is reassuring.

TeddyBeans · 02/08/2022 23:18

@Winniesma congratulations 🥳 do you get extra scans with IVF? Or will your next one be the NHS 12 week one now? (Sorry for questions, just curious)

I meant to say earlier for anyone with all the sickness and nausea, mines pretty much upped and disappeared today at 10 weeks. Will wait to see what tomorrow brings but I'm feeling hopeful that I've seen the back of the worst of it now!

Winniesma · 02/08/2022 23:23

@TeddyBeans thank you!
The only extra was todays early scan. So nice to have an earlier look after everything.
My nausea is almost constant and started a couple of days before I did a test 🤢

hol92 · 03/08/2022 02:12

hey! So sorry just a quick one as just woke in the night to by boobs not hurting at all :( they have been so bad the whole time ! Now I’m panicking I am 6 weeks has this happened to anyone else? Xx

LittleAcorn20 · 03/08/2022 07:28

@13Nikki so sorry for your loss. Incredibly hard. And that feeling of being torn between wanting to be pregnant again but feeling so fearful of it is so common.
There's a brilliant book which is kind of in journal style with places for you to write your own thoughts called Pregnancy After Loss by Zoe Clark-Coates. You could even buy it before you start to try again just so you can see how helpful it is/would be. It might make you feel you have a really good guide through it to manage your anxiety when you do fall pregnant again.
There's also an instagram page which has a podcast and book called 'The Worst Girl Gang Ever', with lots of real life stories, tips, help. Other people's stories are not your story, but hearing how other people have coped or not coped as well, might make you feel less alone. It's so hard 😔 take care of yourself xx

LittleAcorn20 · 03/08/2022 07:46

@hol92 sore boobs seem to come and go for me, esp that early on. Now I'm 9 weeks and they've been mega sore for days. It does freak you out a bit doesn't it, but try not to worry ☺️
