@hellosunshineagainx Yeah see mine was just due to her being breech, so nothing overly serious in the grand scheme of things. Was glad it went that way though. I know for a lot of women it 'ruins' their experience and they find it hard to get over the fact they didn't give birth themselves... but for me labour isn't something I've ever wanted to go through or has appealed to me. Got my booking appointment next week so definitely going to bring it up.

Mine was a failed induction as I was overdue, just led to a cascade of interventions ending in a emergency C-section and I haemorrhaged, was in then intensive unit and hospital over a week. So Im just like, a planned C-section would be so much better 🤣

Room4onemore · 04/08/2022 16:29

I’m asking for a c section and ask if I can be sterilised at the same time, fingers crossed they will do it 🤞🤞hubby has heart failure so I can’t risk falling pregnant again

LittleAcorn20 · 04/08/2022 16:42

Midwife reminded me yesterday that baby can hear you talk by 13 weeks. Not too far away eeek!
So excited to (🤞🙏) hit that milestone
I was thinking then when I'm singing to my toddler to get her to sleep at night this one will hear it 😭❤️ the hormonal emotions and crying at everything has really hit me this week. TV, books... Anything 😭 tears!! Anyone else haha?!

Hi all sorry me again, before I wrote about getting strange twinge/burning pains most of the time to the left or sometimes in the middle, I have also just had the most tiniest amount of blood when I wiped a bit like a dot, I stupidly googled and it came up about ectopic pregnancy, I just wondered if anyone has or known anyone who has had one and what the symptoms were, as I know they are very serious but also don’t know if I have just really scared myself!

thank you so much

Babynum2 · 04/08/2022 17:44

Babynum2 · 04/08/2022 17:46

@hol92 just seen your post i had bleeding at about 7 weeks with some small pains and i have since had 2 scans and everything is ok. Have you got a scan booked?

LittleAcorn20 · 04/08/2022 17:49

@hol92 I think those are two symptoms but they can also just be normal pregnancy symptoms too. I've had cramping and bleeds this time and its showed to be fine on scans.
But you can really never be too careful. I thought I was having before (well before this pregnancy), so I rang 111 to be on the safe side and they got me assessed. Perhaps do that just for peace of mind. Not wanting to freak you out because as mentioned it can be normal symptoms too.
I think one of the other ectopic symptoms is shoulder pain.

hol92 · 04/08/2022 17:56

@Babynum2 i have a private scan booked at 8 weeks, I am currently just over 6 weeks, the pains definitely arnt just one sided but the majority of the time they are, just very strange stabbing/burning pains xx

@LittleAcorn20 the bleeding was probably the size of a pen dot but I just don’t know what’s normal and what’s not :/ the pains are not very painful but just like a stabbing/burning sensation almost , I get them to the left and right and middle but most of the time they are to the left.. oh this is another reason I’ve got myself into a bit of a mess so I have shoulder pain but it’s right near my neck and I have had this a lot in the past pre pregnancy but I think it’s the fact it’s now back at a time when I’ve just read about ectopic, although it does say it’s tip pain which I don’t think mine is

I’m thinking of moving my private scan to tomorrow if she can fit me in I’m only 6w 3 days though.. has anyone else had one that early

thank you so much xxx

Franklin321 · 04/08/2022 19:07

@hol92 i had a scan in my first pregnancy at 6+4 because of bleeding, but could see everything clearly and could see the heartbeat

mummyofrb · 04/08/2022 19:09

@hol92 have you had any since? I had that with my first pregnancy probably about 6/7 weeks it was like 1 or 2 drops bright red blood I was so upset I put a pant liner in and waited but nothing else came and whole pregnancy was fine! Try not to worry if that's all you've had xxx

hol92 · 04/08/2022 19:14

@mummyofrb yes exactly the same literally two tiny drops of bright red blood but nothing at all since, did you also get any stinging pains, I contacted the lady that is doing my private scan at 8weeks, she has said to try not to worry as the bleeding happens a lot and if I’m still worried tomorrow she will fit me in, I don’t know if I’m over thinking the stinging pains as they are probably more towards the middle, why did I get in a google hole of ectopic pregnancy, bloody anxiety! Lol
thank you guys you are really helping to reassure me, I tried to call my midwife earlier then messaged her but have heard nothing so glad I have mums net! Xxx

mummyofrb · 04/08/2022 19:18

@hol92 do you know your exact dates because it could maybe be more implantation if you're earlier than you think? I felt like twisting in my womb is how I can describe it! xxx

hol92 · 04/08/2022 19:18

Also.. I know this is a bit to much information but has anyone had any stinging pains so low down that it actually feels like it’s in your vagina... it’s so strange

hol92 · 04/08/2022 19:21

@mummyofrb i think I’m definitely right as I had my 3+ on blue digital last week xx

rach971 · 04/08/2022 19:30

YES! Not had it for a few days and then was out shopping earlier and it randomly happened again. So weird!

rach971 · 04/08/2022 19:32

Sorry, don't know how to edit my last comment but I meant to quote @hol92 about the low down pains

hol92 · 04/08/2022 19:47

I’m glad someone else has @rach971 haha as it’s not listed on any symptoms so felt abnormal haha!
I think I’m going to go to docs tomorrow just to rule out UTI as a lot of people seem to say they have this stinging pain low down with that! X

rach971 · 04/08/2022 19:48

@hol92 Good idea. Definitely best to check. Although I was tested for a UTI recently and didn't have one so it must just be an odd pregnancy symptom for me 🙈🤣

Hopingforarainbow27 · 04/08/2022 20:02

Does anyone feel like they have a bump? I'm 10 weeks next week and I have a sticky out bit at the bottom and my tummy is usually quite flat in the mornings but didn't think there would be anything this early

Hopingforarainbow27 · 04/08/2022 20:14

Ps I've had 4 losses in 2 years so I'm hoping this one sticks 😟

Sandcastles24 · 04/08/2022 20:29

Yes, my tummy has started to grow already! My shorts are definitely tighter and I keep undoing the button when I sit down. I think I have less muscles keeping it in since the last one. It is growing so much quicker. It will be embarrassing to have to move to maternity cloths so early. I think I will just get some cheap ones in the size up for now

Sandcastles24 · 04/08/2022 20:30

Ps hope this one sticks for all of us too 🙏

Sandcastles24 · 04/08/2022 20:34

To those that have had booking appointments already. How did you find them?
Mine was so long and pointless. I know All the questions must be useful sometime but I felt like a robot answering yes and no again and again and again...
Mine was on the telephone and not with my my official midwife. I was expecting to see them before 16 weeks now the covid restrictions are gone. Just feeling a little disconnected
