Unfortunately yes, I feel your pain. No matter how much water I’ve been drinking I’ve had a permanent headache and dry mouth since about 6 weeks - it almost feels like a daily hangover but without any of the good stuff 🥹

Laurakiaora · 07/08/2022 12:23

Yes, constant headaches or migraines. It's miserable. I'm losing so much time with my daughter during the holidays :(

SJ1994 · 07/08/2022 12:54

I’ve also started getting bad headaches over the last few days!

I had a scan at the EPU on Friday due to a scare but happy to report all was great and baby measuring 11 weeks ☺️ 12 week scan in just over a week! 🤞🏽

stockpilingallthecheese · 07/08/2022 15:53

Good to know it's not just me but not good to hear you're suffering as well!

blibbyblobb · 07/08/2022 19:07

Anyone have their dating scan next week? Mine son Tuesday! Nervously excited if that's a thing lol x

Sarah0409 · 07/08/2022 20:05

@blibbyblobb mine’s tomorrow - I’m terrified!

hope all goes well with your scan on Tuesday!

Sarah0409 · 07/08/2022 20:14

@Laurakiaora i think I know what you mean - with the kids wanting to do lots of things over the holidays and me having zero energy, it can be tough to keep up!

blibbyblobb · 07/08/2022 20:25

@Sarah0409 oo sending lots of positive vibes keep us posted! I think i will start feel nervous and scared tomorrow after work x

Bella9992 · 07/08/2022 21:01

KC2022 · 07/08/2022 22:21

@blibbyblobb mines Tuesday! I'm a ball of nerves and have been for about 3 days now. Every twinge and I'm panicking so I'm looking forward to just seeing how it goes.
Good luck for yours! Flowers

Jealous of everyone who is having scans! My scan date lined up with our trip back to the UK so unfortunately I don't have mine until 13 weeks. I have paid for a private scan while in the UK for some reassurance before announcing at our reunion party though.

Anyone else constantly exhausted?! I had three busy days catching up with people so couldn't nap and last night I slept for 12 hours 😂 I'm also getting quite a pouch now and struggling to fit into clothes, which seems excessive at 11 weeks! I wonder if it's more a case of too much beige food and zero exercise 😂

My tummy is feeling similar at 11 weeks.
I've moved in to under the bump maternity jeans already, and am definitely more 'curved', which seems a lot for so early with my first!

My food hasn't been too naughty, but I definitely haven't been sticking to my usual gym schedule so perhaps that's to blame!

I feel exactly the same, my scan is also tomorrow when I’ll be 13 weeks exactly - so so nervous but so ready to just know the outcome either way. Sending lots of positive wishes x

Same, I haven’t felt comfortable in jeans in several weeks and I’ve gained 5-6lbs already (about 3kg) which feels excessive for 13 weeks :/

Normally I rarely eat beige foods and bread would be a treat but it’s been about the only thing to curb nausea so that must definitely be a contributing factor!

PeanutButterFalcon · 08/08/2022 17:43

@BritInNZ my clothes are starting to feel uncomfortable too. I’ve washed all my old maternity things while it’s sunny.

been to the GP today after spotting. They’ve taken some samples to check for infection but have said they can’t do anything else. Have to wait 2 weeks for my 16 week appointment with the midwife

Ohhhhhshitttt · 08/08/2022 19:18

I have put on 1 and a half stone already! It's ridiculous considering I was so sick but it's being completely sedentary and the beige diet plus constant eating to chase away the nausea.

Totalled 4 stone weight gain last time so seems it'll be much the same. It did come straight off though.

Bella9992 · 08/08/2022 20:38

Good luck tomorrow @blibbyblobb @KC2022 @ViVi1001 , mines at 11, feeling very nervous.

I'm definitely starting to get a bump already, the bottom of my stomach has gone v hard. Having to wear v loose blouses at work as I think people will notice soon!
I don't weigh myself so no idea if I've gained weight, but weighed less than I thought I did at my booking appointment three weeks ago. No idea what I put on last time either, would rather not know 😅.

Btw can anyone tell me if we need to provide a urine sample for the scan? I really can't remember for my son's time (5 years ago)

Thanks, good luck to you too 😊 mine is first thing at 9.30am.

@blibbyblobb the instructions I received say a full bladder is needed for the scan and to drink a litre of water 1 hour beforehand but nothing about a urine sample afterwards.

Also that I’ll have a screening blood test for Down’s, Patau’s and Edward’s syndrome and will be able to collect results from the booking appointment bloods.

PeanutButterFalcon · 08/08/2022 22:06

No sample needed at my scan. They had a little table with urine pots on and a poster on who needed a sample

Has anyone thought about doing a social media pregnancy "announcement" photo? If so - what?

I'm going to do one. So I'm going to put a cute little baby grow, a teddy bear and my scan picture on it. 2 more weeks until I can tell people. I'm so excited as this is my first 🥹

Akmc · 09/08/2022 12:38

I was wondering if any of you have experience with requesting to change care to another hospital. I was in the city with my first so used my local hospital at the time, and stated right at the beginning of my second that I’d like to use the same hospital, so I was ‘on the track’ from the get go. This time, however, my new GP doesn’t handle maternity, it’s all done via community midwives and I’ve been plopped into the local area hospital team and frankly it’s just been ridiculous. They’ve taken bloods and tested for the wrong things (and by this I mean I was told they don’t know about my ferrous result, but they have accidentally sent off instead to test for FERRET allergy). I’m told to make my own appointments, fine, but they give me numbers which, when called, tell me to phone other numbers (turns out the correct number isn’t listed on my maternity notes), and they’ve not sent screening test results to me yet, now two weeks late I believe… I’m just not getting a positive feeling from the experience thus far. Who do I speak to or how do I request to change?

Bella9992 · 09/08/2022 13:01

My scan went well, few days further along than I thought with EDD 16 Feb. Baby was wiggling so much they had trouble viewing everything at times. Good luck to others getting the scan today.
