@Skl2021 turned 35 weeks today and started to wash all the baby bits so getting a bit overwhelmed with how much washing haha. How about you?

@flowergarden16 I havent got my covid booster and noones mentioned anything to me about it, I am working from home and keeping myself to myself these last few weeks so 🤞🏻 I will get my flu jab though as midwife mentioned that

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 10:46

@Annny27 I did that a few weeks back it was never ending 🤦 and I don't even think he will fit in half of it now 🙊 35 weeks! Not much longer now. I'm 38+3 not much to report just plodding along trying to get a bit more organized! Picking up car seat from pram shop tomorrow so that's one more thing! X

Annny27 · 23/09/2022 10:50

@Skl2021 oh true, he might be straight into the 0-3 if he is a big boy now! that's exciting! We know what car seat we want but havent ordered it yet so need to do that soon too

38+3 are you trying any of the old wives tales to bring on labour? Haha

flowergarden16 · 23/09/2022 10:52

@Annny27 if you want to have one you can just book it online at the NHS vaccine portal. I felt a bit rough overnight but feeling a bit better now.

I'm ok. Almost 32 weeks and have my placenta scan on weds. I'm absolutely terrified and so so anxious that it's going to have become accreta - that involves a complicated surgery and hysterectomy at the same time as delivery. Really praying it's not that but I think I have a 1/4 chance 😭

Hope everyone else is going well, keep plodding along ladies x

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 10:54

@Annny27 thought we better pick it up incase we need it. Will get the pram after he's here.
No not really I don't think they work 🙈 babies come when their ready! And if he comes he needs to come asap as I have my brother's wedding next Saturday and it's 2+ hours away from home! 🤦 So he needs to stay put until due date if possible. Yes I have terrible timing with getting pregnant! 3 days before due date isn't ideal when I'm nowere near home 🤪 x

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 10:57

@flowergarden16 keep positive u have got this! ♥️ U have got this far and I'm hoping the scan will be positive for you them odds are in your favour! X

flowergarden16 · 23/09/2022 10:59

That's true @Skl2021 I think I'm on such a downer as (like all of us on here!) it's been stress and anxiety after stress and anxiety. Just want a healthy baby and to be alive at the end of it all!

Hope you're not feeling too uncomfortable x

flowergarden16 · 23/09/2022 11:01

And @Skl2021 eeeek I'm sure you'll be fine but so typical. Just take your notes and a packed hospital bag and make sure you know where the nearest maternity unit is? I have been doing that since 20 weeks due to the previa, it's actually quite hilarious 🤣

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 11:02

@flowergarden16 it's so easy to get dragged down and think the worst with what we have been through. Just take a step back and breathe. Look how far you have come! I'm sure your scan will be fine keep going ♥️ thanks I'm very uncomfortable but got to keep going! X

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 11:04

@flowergarden16 I don't have notes it's all on my badger app 🤔 yes my car is going to be full with wedding stuff for 4 of us and baby bag and hospital bag and car seat 😂 I have so much to organise 🤦 hope I don't go into labour on the motorway! Yes I need to look up nearest hospitals 🤪 x

flowergarden16 · 23/09/2022 11:08

@Skl2021 tbh you don't trekked need notes they can get them and no one ever bloody reads them! I'm sure you'll be totally fine but always think if you prepare then it's unlikely to happen right?! X

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 11:11

@flowergarden16 no they always ask u everything anyway 🤦 wel my other two were overdue so I'm hoping this goes the same way! Or he comes like next few days 🙊 then we're entering danger territory closer we get! 🤣 x

barneymcgroo · 23/09/2022 11:52

@flowergarden16 Fingers crossed for your scan on Wednesday.

@Skl2021 Well, if you do have to leave the wedding/don't make it, I'm pretty sure everyone will understand!

@Annny27 I've got the midwife next Thursday, so perhaps she'll mention flu jabs? Not sure - I'm so close to the end, so no idea if they'll still do it.

All fine here, older two at nursery today so getting ALL the things done. Baby clothes ready to go, cot ready, car seat by the door. Tesco order arriving imminently with snacks... And last few bits of work to do - I'm self employed, so it's just me and my husband...

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 11:56

@barneymcgroo yes they would understand. Wow your way more organized than me 🙌 go you! Both mine at school too and I'm sat watching TV 🤣🤦 baby's bed is still in the box in the other room and my hospital bag isn't finished. X

Srx1 · 23/09/2022 12:12

I'm 33 weeks, we bought most things but my hospital bag is still not completely packed, I keep coming up with new things I should pack and I'm running out of space! And I'm feeling like I still have a lot of reading to do and not to mention my hypnobirthing class...
I'm getting my flu jab on Monday. 😬

barneymcgroo · 23/09/2022 12:37

@Skl2021 DS2 was born the day before his due date, and I was convinced he'd massively go over - don't want to get caught out again!

Hospital bag definitely not ready - but I have a list of all the last minute things. And haven't packed for the other two boys yet...

barneymcgroo · 23/09/2022 12:39

@Srx1 I've gone for the two bag approach - one for things I'll need immediately, another for if we have to stay in longer. Was out in 6hrs with ds2...

Srx1 · 23/09/2022 13:23

@barneymcgroo oh yes I forgot to say I have 2 bags but seems they're not big enough 😆 One was supposed to be pre and the other post but they are more like baby/me now 😬 I'm sure I will repack it few more times, everything is so bulky!

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 13:29

@barneymcgroo day before due date I can live with 🤣🤞 they come when there ready so no point planning for it 🙈 I feel like he could come daily with all the pain I'm feeling and lightening crotch 🙊 x

@Srx1 mines turned into two bags too! IV decided on one for me and one for baby! X

calimc83 · 23/09/2022 13:46

Survived another scan today! 😅 tmi but I must of done 4 nervous poo's beforehand 😆🙈..had my bloods done for the nipt as well so fingers crossed they come back ok xx

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 14:02

@calimc83 well done ♥️ I still get nervous going into mine now! Hope your bloods come back quickly and that there all ok! 🤞 X

calimc83 · 23/09/2022 14:45

@Skl2021 an anxious week awaits! 🙈 how are u doing? Is baby now head down? X

Skl2021 · 23/09/2022 14:53

@calimc83 try and keep busy 🙌 yes he was head down got another scan on Monday so will see if he has stayed put 🤣🙊 x

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 23/09/2022 15:42

Does anyone know when you would expect to see a heartbeat? I'm feeling a bit worried as a few people on here and other threads have said they saw a heartbeat at 5+4 or above, and at our scan we didn't. Looking at when we DTD I should have been at least 5+4 at the scan date (though not sure about ovulation date at all). Just worried this means it's not going anywhere 😔. Next scan in 3 weeks feels like forever away.

Arwen7 · 23/09/2022 16:56

@IWillBeWaxingAnOwl implantation times and the development of the baby varies quite a lot in early weeks so even if you are very sure about your dates it's not an exact science. Most people won't see a heartbeat until week 6 onwards and some even week 7. If there is any doubt about dates, then it could potentially be later. Easier said than done but try not to worry just yet! Fingers crossed for you. Can you have a private scan earlier than in 3 weeks if that would help?
