Everyone experiences different symptoms and I didn’t always find it helpful seeing everyone on here experiencing different things to what I was! I’ve never been sick, not once. I felt nauseous and some days the nausea was there more than others, but try not to compare yourself to others it really doesn’t help at all because pregnancy looks so different for everybody @Hopingforarainbow27
In terms of scans, I had one at 7 weeks (abdominal) and it majorly put my mind at ease, but some of the ladies on here experienced real anxiety going for scans! See how you feel and take it day by day, it gets easier xx

Srx1 · 31/07/2022 11:41

@Hopingforarainbow27 I was also never sick, my nausea started at week 6 and lasted until week 10. I was ok having my breakfast(usually cereal with fruit) and that was my favourite meal and then by late morning the nausea would start and last all day so I didn't really enjoy food. Nausea was similar to car sickness and feeling mehh at the thought of any food.

Regarding the scan, I was offered a reassurance scan at week 8.

chasingtherainbow1 · 31/07/2022 18:56

@Hopingforarainbow27 I think I'll wait for 7 weeks too. I can't go back to the EPU though, I feel like I have too many bad memories there so I'm going to go see a private consultant for one has her has been prescribing me progesterone etc

Sassy144 · 01/08/2022 06:32

Hi ladies, it's been ages since I've been on, I hope you're all getting on okay. I've caught up as much as I can ❤️ I'm 17 weeks now and found out yesterday we're having a boy! 💙

We were shocked as both expected a girl but we are over the moon and so glad to see he is doing well in there. The scanxiety is real. We're off to Greece for a week on Thursday for an overdue honeymoon which is now more of a babymoon. Sexy flight socks at the ready..!

arianasky · 01/08/2022 09:28

@Sassy144 congratulations lovely news 💙🌈 have an Amazing honey/baby moon 💕

Joining tentatively, I'm 4 weeks pregnant today with pregnancy number 4 having lost my little boy at 16 weeks in April of this year. I'm so scared of what's going to happen I can't even bring myself to be happy let alone excited even though I'm know how lucky I am to catch again so soon after his loss. Almost wish I could just fall asleep and wake up in April! Did anyone get an early scan after a loss or will I just have to wait until 12 weeks to know if this one's ok? Not that I will trust that I guess, my last 12 week scan was fine and I still lost him 😓

Sunnyxo · 01/08/2022 14:05

Joining tentatively too, I am 4 weeks 4days and have had two early losses before. Quite nervous about it all, so not getting my hopes up too much.

@MrsC2018 sorry to hear about the loss of your little boy 💙 I’ve managed to get a scan at 8 weeks but I think they would’ve offered it earlier at 6/7 but don’t have the availability. I called up the Tommy’s clinic, as I’m quite local, but maybe try your doctor instead of the EPU ward at your local hospital?

Sunnyxo · 01/08/2022 14:07

@MrsC2018 oops I meant to say ‘or the EPU’ x

Skl2021 · 01/08/2022 15:23

Just a quick update from me. I'm 31 weeks tomorrow and had a growth scan today. Baby is measuring small on the 3rd centile. My amniotic fluid is also low. Have been moved to weekly checks now. He's also breech and I'm absolutely petrified. Obviously if it gets lower or he doesn't grow he will have to come out early than expected. 😭😭 X

arianasky · 01/08/2022 17:00

@Skl2021 oh no! How are you? I have everything crossed for you that he won't have to come early, when is his next scan?

Skl2021 · 01/08/2022 17:08

@arianasky I'm just scared it's alot to take in and I just broke down when the doctor told me. I have a fluid scan next week again to see if it's changed and his next growth scan is the week after. Had problems with my youngest son and now just feel like it's all happening again. X

Tofu35 · 01/08/2022 17:53

Oh @Skl2021 im sorry that you got this news today. It sounds like the hospital are on it in terms of fluid checks and follow up appointments but that must have been a scare when you found out. Hope it's good news next week and the days pass quickly while you wait xx

Skl2021 · 01/08/2022 18:12

@Tofu35 thanks ♥️ just scary thinking of the outcomes. I wasn't prepared for this. Just a bit of a shock. X

Arwen7 · 01/08/2022 23:12

@Skl2021 I'm so sorry about the worry you have with this. I really hope baby stays put but even if he comes early care and outcomes in NICU are amazing these days. It's good you are being monitored should anything changed you can keep baby safe. Stay positive x

Bridgey8 · 01/08/2022 23:47

Sorry to hear this @Skl2021 but like everyone says it sounds like the hospital are well and truly on it and even if he did come out soon I'm sure he would be absolutely fine. Stay strong lovely - you've got this xxx

Skl2021 · 02/08/2022 08:38

@Arwen7 @Bridgey8 thanks ♥️ just need to try and keep him safe and cooking for a bit longer and hope he puts Weight on 🤞 just scared x

arianasky · 02/08/2022 09:25

@Skl2021 I've got everything crossed for you and little one 💕

@Skl2021 sorry you are going through this, fingers crossed from me too 🤞🏻 hang in there! Xx

Skl2021 · 02/08/2022 11:07

@arianasky @Srx1 thanks ♥️ x

Prayingformyrainbow93 · 02/08/2022 11:54

Ah @Skl2021 nothing seems to be easy! Hopefully your little one keeps cooking away nicely in there for you 💙 xx

flowergarden16 · 02/08/2022 12:39

@Skl2021 so sorry to hear that but as everyone else says, you're being looked after so just keep the faith 🙏🏻

I feel the same, I have major placenta previa so just waiting for the bleeding now and if it's bad they will have to deliver early. I'm only 14 weeks.

So worried about it turning in to placenta accreta too. It's never simple!

@Bridgey8 did you find out any more about your low lying placenta or did it move?

Skl2021 · 02/08/2022 13:34

@Prayingformyrainbow93 I had a feeling he was going to be trouble from the start 🙈 just hoping he stays put a bit longer 💙 x

@flowergarden16 sorry to hear your going through that. I hope everything goes ok with you too ♥️ keep strong xx

speake1 · 02/08/2022 13:43

So sorry to hear this @Skl2021 i can imagine how worried you are. Try & take some comfort in being monitored so frequently, i know you felt they missed that step with your other little one so it is so reassuring to hear they are taking it all seriously & have you in so regularly at the moment. Fingers crossed baby boy’s growth picks up & your fluid levels stay consistent but if not you are so far along now that even having to deliver early, as scary as it will be the outcome should still ultimately be positive after a little stay in NICU 🙏🏼🤞🏼

Friend of a friend just had their baby at 28 weeks & they managed to stay at their local hospital and he was discharged before his due date with no complications. It’s amazing what they can do now!

Thinking of you xxx
