Hi all lovely people!

Here’s a thread for all March babies 🥰 I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo with a due date on the 10th of March 2023. I suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks in early March so it feels special that we get our rainbow 🌈 baby around the one year mark!

A little about me: I’m 27, living in Sweden with my fiancé. This is our first child and we’ve really longed for this baby and desperately hoping it will stick this time!

Welcome to this journey, please tell me a little bit about you!

@JB2021 dont feel guilty, with my HG the midwife said eat whatever you feel like if thats chips everyday because something is better than nothing. You are taking the vitamins and it wont be like this forever.

I fancy chips now.

Sandcastles24 · 31/07/2022 23:03

@Babynum2 I am sorry youhave been having such a rough ride

Enjoy your chips 🍟 x

LittleAcorn20 · 01/08/2022 08:08

@JB2021 definitely just eat whatever you fancy. It really doesn't matter in the first trimester, keep up with vitamins like others have said. Baby isn't relying on you so much right now for nutrients. By second trimester usually everything and anything is appealing to eat, so you'll be able to get back onto eating more healthily then. I remember 2nd trimester in my last pregnancy all food tasted incredible, it was a weird symptom that took me by surprise. Like my taste buds were working x100 🤣
@Babynum2 @Handmaid2019 my sickness is awful too. Been in bed all weekend and throwing up, without keeping food down. Ended up at hospital last night with some new meds prescribed so hoping they make me feel a bit better. Cyclizine is proving useless for me the past few weeks. I was never this bad with my first pregnancy 🤮 wanted a big family but this is a rough ride this time, I keep on thinking I don't have it in me to go through this again 😩 being sick is so depressing and really plays on your emotions.

@alotoftutus same here. I only found out last weekend and the few symptoms I was experiencing disappeared a few days later. I don't "feel" pregnant and am slightly worried something is wrong. I'm 6+3 today, have a scan booked for when I'll be 8+4 - it feels like so long away!

I'm a little over ten weeks and my symptoms are still up and down now.
On Saturday I couldn't eat anything, and didn't want to. Worst day of sickness so far (I'm usually just nauseous), and I felt horrendously unwell all day.
By Sunday - I was eating anything not nailed down and able to do DIY around the house.

Up and down seems normal.
My sympathies to all those ladies who are really struggling with sickness/nausea!
I thought my day to day nausea waves were bad - usually curtailed by eating - but after a rough day, my heart goes out to you!

Katlouise24 · 31/07/2022 14:52

Does anyone here take pregnacare max? I've been taking them for around 3 and a half weeks now and they're making me so sick, these are what the midwife recommended so I really want to stick with them but I cannot for the life of me keep them down lol. Anyone have any recommendations? :)

I've found taking these around 15-20mins after my dinner (largest meal) helps a lot.
Even more so if I focus on getting lots of protein in the meal.

Do still feel a little queasy, but I'm usually not long out of bed/sofa nap by that point!

dmb91 · 01/08/2022 09:44

@ktmtb Congratulations!
I'm really hoping for twins so I never have to go through pregnancy again 😂🤢

hol92 · 01/08/2022 10:26

At what week did you all start to feel sick/nauseous? Yesterday I felt very nauseous but not really today! I am 5wks +5

also I have one more weeks detector test I keep wanting to do it to see if I get a 3+ weeks but also have anxiety as I know I will feel so worried!

xx

Katlouise24 · 01/08/2022 10:28

@mummyofrb @botbump thanks for your replies! I'll take them this evening and see if I find them easier! I really don't want to swap to anything else as I feel these will benefit baby the most!

mummyofrb · 01/08/2022 10:54

@hol92 hey lovely I've just turned 7 weeks and the nausea just starting up for me, I've had waves over past couple of weeks and food aversions but it's really floored me in past few days! I don't know if I'd bother with another test, you know you're pregnant and a lot of people have got the wrong weeks on them clear blue tests which can just cause stress for you xxx

Blondewave · 01/08/2022 11:05

Hello - how is everyone? I had 0 symptoms up until I hit 6+5 and I am absolutely flawed with nausea Im 7 weeks now. I can’t eat and I’m petite anyway 8 stone and 5’4 so can’t really afford to loose weight. All I managed to eat yesterday were a few chips. I’ve got sea sickness bands on and ordered ginger sweets. I’m going on holiday next week and I’m dreading it as the constant Nausea is making me so down. My partner is struggling with me not being myself as I’m the ‘rock’ in the relationship and he cried yesterday saying he’s depressed and can’t cope with having to look after me too 😣 it’s just a lot atm. I’m sure it will pass - is anyone else struggling? I hope it gets easier soon x

I just posted below as I’m floored with nausea currently it’s just awful and relentless. I’m 7 weeks and it only hit a few days ago. I went for an early scan at 6+3 as was worried with lack of symptoms. Baby was fine heart beating away and book sickness hit like a tonne of bricks..Karma ayyy 😂 enjoy feeling normal and get loads of things done while you can x

Ladies im really really suffering with my HG I feel so bad to say it but i sat thinking about termination last night thats how bad its been and then i cried when i snapped out of it and felt so guilty to think that. I cant work i cant eat i cant do anything with my kids i havent been to a supermarket or cooked dinner in 2 weeks im beyond just being sick now. My partner just doesnt understand not even my mum because shes old school German and doesnt beleive in "being sick". Is there anybody else who has been diagnosed with HG and got any advice/tips/help?

I feel you ♥️ I thought the same last night. I just hate feeling like this. It’s hell. Only a few more weeks and it should subside as the HCG peaks at week 10 then tapers back down. I’ve bought some swimmers nose pegs to wear in the house 🤣 I look insane but my nausea is worse from the smell of anything at all haha. It’s taking the edge off. Also got sea sickness wrist bands on and take a few rennies and mint tea. Really doesn’t cure but takes the edge off. I read that it’s caused by estrogen from a healthy placenta so trying to keep positive by thinking baby is growing strong x

hol92 · 01/08/2022 11:18

@mummyofrb thank you for the reassurance :) I think because I had it bad yesterday (was made better by eating) I just assumed I would have it today and I guess I just wondered why but it’s reassuring to know you had waves of it too :)

this is what I’m thinking there really isn’t no need, it’s sitting there and i keep thinking shall I? But I’m anxious enough already I’m not sure it will help haha!

it feels like I’ve just wanted this for so long and now it’s here I’m so scared of something going wrong - but we all feel like that and this forum is really helping me not feel alone in all of this ❤️

hol92 · 01/08/2022 11:21

@Blondewave hahaha maybe I should make the most of it then ! I think it was the fact I started yesterday then wondered why it went today but I guess it comes in waves :) so glad your scan went well and hope you feel a bit better soon!

im thinking of booking a scan at 8 weeks as really don’t think I can wait until 12 weeks! Xx

GreenIsle · 01/08/2022 11:29

My symptoms come and go so I don't know which day from the next what way I'm going to feel, I'm extremely tired but also have a small baby here so napping when they nap as much as possible. Thank goodness DH is with our older child or I couldn't cope.

Yes I’d deffo book a scan I was only 6+3 and could see baby clearly and strong heart beat. I was supposed to go this week at 7 weeks but I got impatient and worried due to symptoms coming and going 😂 - i said to my partner there might not be anything in there 😂 now I’m counting down the next 5 weeks to 12 week scan for a different reason mostly so I’ll be feeling less sick hopefully 🤞🏻Why is time going to slowly right now. First trimester is the worst as you can’t even tell anyone really 🙃 I had to pretend I was hungover yesterday at a dinner with friends as i could only eat a few chips x

rach971 · 01/08/2022 14:48

@hol92 I get more nauseous days than others and I'm 6+4. Some days I feel super nauseous, some days it's mild, some days I have barely anything at all. I'm glad this forum makes you feel less alone. I'm super worried about everything too so I understand how you feel 🥰

rach971 · 01/08/2022 14:53

@Blondewave Was yours internal or abdominal? I've got an abdominal one today at 6+4 so wondering what I'll be able to see. Saw baby last week on an internal one and the flicker of the heartbeat 🥰 Totally agree with the time going slowly. I've known I'm pregnant for three weeks and it feels like a lifetime. Like you say, you can't tell anyone, and it's just such a worrying time anyway the first trimester x

Missy95 · 01/08/2022 15:49

Hi ladies, I hope everyone is well 🥰

I have been for a scan today at approx 6+2 and could see a little flickering heartbeat 💗 so adorable but absolutely teeeny tiny! They said everything looks perfect for what they can see and measuring just right. Booked in for another scan in 3 weeks time for some reassurance as we had problems in pregnancy number 1 which was found at the 12 week scan. Really grateful that the hospital is taking extra care of us after our 2 losses. We should then have extra scans at 11,15 and 18 weeks. So although its going to be a bit worrying right through, im hoping the extra reassurance will help and speed up time 🥰

Feeling super super tired today, can't bare to take the poor dog for a walk just yet. I think its been the excitement/worry of today and I've just hit the deck after it all 🙈 xxx

Wouldloveanother · 01/08/2022 16:54

Great news Missy! It’s a magical moment isn’t it ✨ I’ve just booked an early scan for 7w, it’s just for peace of mind really - 12 weeks seems like such a long time to wait. Fingers crossed!

I suffer with HG too.
I know how awful you feel right now.
Seabands helped me and sipping cooled/warm boiled water, masged potatoes was the only thing I could eat.
For me, It usually starts at week 7 & last till week 18.
This is Baby #5, Baby#2 with HG was the worst- I was hospitalised at 9 weeks.
Im 6 weeks today and dreading the upcoming weeks already.

Cats23 · 01/08/2022 19:01

I've booked in with Midwife today!
I am about 5weeks and 6days - Think due on 30th March.
Midwife will likely call at 8 weeks.
We live in a v.v small county and I know the 2 x midwives from where I live anyway, they were with me in my last 2x pregnancies.
Its odd to think that 2x people I know, now know Im pregnant and we've yet to tell the Dc!

Bobduncan · 01/08/2022 19:05

Hi all! I'm 6 weeks + 3. No real symptoms other than tiredness and my IBS is flaring up (lovely!). I have a scan booked for 10 days time where hopefully we will see baby and a beautiful HB! I had a MMC 2 months ago because of a blighted ovum, so I'm ultra paranoid that things are going to go wrong again. 🙁

Babynum2 · 01/08/2022 20:33

@JB2021 what meds did they give u now im going onto something new from tomorrow i didnt want to take them before 9weeks as can cause problems but i need to try something new. Most defo is our last im only 28 but im going to beg them to tie my tubes as this is pregnancy 3 on contraception i have the worst pregnancies and both my babies were prem so hoping it will go in my favour i couldnt do this again and have 3 children at home!
