Hi all lovely people!

Here’s a thread for all March babies 🥰 I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo with a due date on the 10th of March 2023. I suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks in early March so it feels special that we get our rainbow 🌈 baby around the one year mark!

A little about me: I’m 27, living in Sweden with my fiancé. This is our first child and we’ve really longed for this baby and desperately hoping it will stick this time!

Welcome to this journey, please tell me a little bit about you!

Thought I was getting away with no sickness (I'm 6+5) but tonight I've just been exorcist style sick - just as my husband boards a plane to Singapore for a week with work 🤪 great bloody timing. Anyone want to pop over and make me a cuppa tea?!

I know this is crazy because it's such early days, but does anyone already feel like their pregnancy is dragging? I've known for less than 3 weeks and it already seems like forever! I don't particularly enjoy pregnancy- I would be very happy to just skip to the baby part already.

TeddyBeans · 30/07/2022 22:28

@Babynum2 I'm glad you've found some support ❤️

@alotoftutus that is a beautiful mental image 🤣 hope you feel better tomorrow

Lexxa · 31/07/2022 05:45

Measuring 8weeks 🤍 how does little bean look to you guys? I was worried about that little black space in his head but the ultrasound tech that was completely normal. 159bpm

Due March 2023 ✨👶☀️🌈
G0ldfinch · 31/07/2022 11:12

Congratulations @allthingssparkly thats great news. I also had a scan yesterday and saw a little blueberry with a flickering heartbeat! I am a week behind you though measuring 7+1 😊

Babynum2 · 31/07/2022 11:19

@alotoftutus thankyou so much for your post it means a lot.

Little bit better today although im so windy mainly in the evenings im wondering is this a normal thing or if its my meds im on.

TeddyBeans · 31/07/2022 11:48

@Lexxa completely normal, it's a fluid filled area at the moment until the brain grows to fill the space

Handmaid2019 · 31/07/2022 11:52

@Babynum2 I'm really struggling with morning sickness. Doc has put me on cyclizine but it just seems to have stopped the vomiting, I have all day nausea and lots of heaving. I feel so depressed, can't even get out of bed at the moment. I've also been really windy in the evenings.

Babynum2 · 31/07/2022 14:47

@Handmaid2019 thats what i take along with 2 others, it makes you sleepy. Stops u being sick but doesnt stop the feeling. I feel your pain your not alone x

Katlouise24 · 31/07/2022 14:52

Does anyone here take pregnacare max? I've been taking them for around 3 and a half weeks now and they're making me so sick, these are what the midwife recommended so I really want to stick with them but I cannot for the life of me keep them down lol. Anyone have any recommendations? :)

ktmtb · 31/07/2022 15:07

Hey everyone! 7 weeks and 5 days today. My due date is the 13th March. I’ve just been for a reassurance early scan today only to find out I’m having twins!!! It came as a complete shock and the news is still sinking in. If anyone else is expecting twins let me know!

Franklin321 · 31/07/2022 16:11

@ktmtb congrats! How exciting 👶👶

mummyofrb · 31/07/2022 16:39

@Katlouise24 hey lovely I'm in same boat! I've found taking them before bed after my dinner helps! Because I'm asleep for the time period they'd usually make me feel sick🤣

mummyofrb · 31/07/2022 16:44

@ktmtb Twins!! So exciting! How was the scan was there a lot to see? I'll be 7+2 from LMP when I have mine!! Xxx

Babynum2 · 31/07/2022 17:17

@Katlouise24 its made me sick every pregnancy so i take thiamine hydrochloride and folic acid now.

Mrs2022 · 31/07/2022 17:20

Congratulations @ktmtb how exciting with twins! Is this your first? How clear was your scan ?

alotoftutus · 31/07/2022 17:50

Oh wow how exciting @ktmtb. Did you have a feeling it was twins?

Congratulations

ktmtb · 31/07/2022 19:45

@mummyofrb thank you! I couldn’t see any limbs but the heartbeat was really visible on the screen which is what I wanted to see the most!

@Mrs2022 yes this is my first pregnancy so completely shocked at the thought of learning to look after two babies! They managed to get both babies on the screen at the same time so it was really clear.

@alotoftutus I hadn’t even considered the idea which is why it is such a surprise! I booked the scan as I wanted the reassurance of the heartbeat and things progressing to help it feel more real. I think it’s made my anxiety worse now but for completely different reasons!

Mrs2022 · 31/07/2022 20:23

@ktmtb you will do great and you won't know any different with it being your first. You will adapt a routine to suit each of them and you and it will be amazing watching them both grow up. They will be best friends for life. So exciting for you!

JB2021 · 31/07/2022 20:50

First party last night since we found out but not told people so had to hide the non drinking!

Struggling with appetite at the moment which is unlike me! Just not hungry and when I do eat I'm only eating because I know I should. We have however had chip shop twice in 3 days because its what I fancied and now I feel guilty that I'm not eating healthy. We (husband and I) do eat healthy most of the time normally!

Tiredness is also making things so much effort!

Wouldloveanother · 31/07/2022 21:10

I feel the same JB - with DD I was tired and craved junk food, veg made me feel sick (although I love veg normally and eat pretty healthily). Feels like the same symptoms are starting up again now 😴 🤢 just got in after a long day out & made myself make a ratatouille with wholewheat pasta. Treated myself to a kinder bueno for pudding though 😉

JB2021 · 31/07/2022 21:15

@Wouldloveanother its my first so all new to me. We had meatballs out of the freezer ready to have woth pasta and sauce but I just couldn't face it. I'm eating a lot less as my appetite has gone which is really unusual for me. I'm thinking it's going to have to be little and often.

First midwife appointment on Friday and feel I'm going to sound pathetic with how tired I am. Not sure she will belive I'm usually healthy!

Wouldloveanother · 31/07/2022 21:53

Apparently sickness, food aversions etc are a good sign as they mean the hormones are rising nicely - not that it makes things feel better I know 😂 I was sick until 23 weeks last time 😱

good luck with your appointment, is that the booking appointment? Or early scan?

alotoftutus · 31/07/2022 21:55

Has anyone not really got any symptoms? I do feel completely exhausted but apart from that I don't really feel pregnant and it's worrying. I'd love an early scan but my husbands working away at the moment and I don't have childcare for my others. I'm 7 weeks tomorrow.

I did get sick yesterday - but today my daughter & son spent the day being sick so I don't think it was baby related.

Bee16 · 31/07/2022 22:11

@alotoftutus same here. I only found out last weekend and the few symptoms I was experiencing disappeared a few days later. I don't "feel" pregnant and am slightly worried something is wrong. I'm 6+3 today, have a scan booked for when I'll be 8+4 - it feels like so long away!

JB2021 · 31/07/2022 22:17

@Wouldloveanother its the booking appointment. I'll be just over 8 weeks. Hoping they give details on a scan date as we'd ideally like it before the bank holiday as we'd like to tell one cousin in person - lives 3 hours away and we are seeing her that weekend!
