Hi all lovely people!

Here’s a thread for all March babies 🥰 I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo with a due date on the 10th of March 2023. I suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks in early March so it feels special that we get our rainbow 🌈 baby around the one year mark!

A little about me: I’m 27, living in Sweden with my fiancé. This is our first child and we’ve really longed for this baby and desperately hoping it will stick this time!

Welcome to this journey, please tell me a little bit about you!

@alotoftutus hey thanks for replying, no bleeding at all thankfully. Apparently you have to go through the GP now to go to the EPU

Wouldloveanother · 29/07/2022 22:59

Hi ladies, when will/did you inform your GP of your pregnancy? I haven’t even missed my period yet so not planning on phoning them for another week at least, just wondered what the norm is now xx

TeddyBeans · 29/07/2022 23:03

@Wouldloveanother generally you can skip the GP and self refer directly to the midwife team. Info should be on your GPs website. I did mine as soon as I found out and had my booking appointment at just over 8 weeks

Wouldloveanother · 29/07/2022 23:04

Thanks Teddy! Might be worth me contacting them on Monday then, I’ve got a few medical bits and bobs going on so perhaps earlier is better!

TeddyBeans · 29/07/2022 23:07

Oh definitely, sooner the better with anything medical! If I'd waited til 8 weeks to contact them I would have missed out on at least 3 weeks of higher dose folic acid (high BMI) and the aspirin they've prescribed because I had preeclampsia last time.

Wouldloveanother · 29/07/2022 23:10

Oh I had both aspirin and high dose folic acid in my last pregnancy! I’d better call first thing Monday! Thanks for reminding me 🥴

TeddyBeans · 29/07/2022 23:20

No problem, I've just reminded myself that I need to take them before I go to bed 🤣

Markygirl1995 · 30/07/2022 10:44

Anyone has this before

Markygirl1995 · 30/07/2022 10:45

wont let me upload a bit of blood in discharge

TeddyBeans · 30/07/2022 11:36

@Markygirl1995 I had about a week to 1.5 weeks of tinged discharge. It started before my early scan, scan was fine, then continued for another week or so. Obviously can't see your photo but if it's not a lot of blood I wouldn't worry too much

Ladies, are you going to do an early scan privately and have you already contacted midwives/GP. I am thinking to wait until i am 6 or 7 weeks. They won't see me before 9/10 weeks anyway

I contacted as soon as I found out I was pregnant which must have been only around the 3 week and a few days mark! Although I did think I was further along going by a guess of my LMP 🙈

Already had one private scan and one at the EPU. Got another private scan for free on Monday due to it being too early for them to see anything last time. Then planning on having one every couple of weeks to be honest until the 12-14 week mark. I just can't stop worrying for some reason 😩 x

Wouldloveanother · 30/07/2022 12:09

We are planning an early scan at the 7-8 week mark, which is what we did last time. 12 weeks is such a long time and I know I’ll relax if we see the heartbeat 💗 🤞🏻

Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels · 30/07/2022 13:09

We've booked an early scan for around 9 weeks, I wasnt going to but I forgot how long this wait is for the 12 week scan!

dmb91 · 30/07/2022 13:31

Based on my lmp I'm already 14 weeks! I have my dating scan booked for when I think I will be 9 weeks, 17.5 weeks according to lmp.. the joys of long cycles 🤦‍♀️

Babynum2 · 30/07/2022 14:29

Ladies im really really suffering with my HG I feel so bad to say it but i sat thinking about termination last night thats how bad its been and then i cried when i snapped out of it and felt so guilty to think that. I cant work i cant eat i cant do anything with my kids i havent been to a supermarket or cooked dinner in 2 weeks im beyond just being sick now. My partner just doesnt understand not even my mum because shes old school German and doesnt beleive in "being sick". Is there anybody else who has been diagnosed with HG and got any advice/tips/help?

allthingssparkly · 30/07/2022 17:29

A flickering heartbeat and a little growing foetus seen at my scan today, measuring 8w1d 🤍

Mrs2022 · 30/07/2022 17:32

@allthingssparkly that is great! I'm debating whether to book an early scan or not. Currently 6+1 based on lmp and not sure when to book it for.

So pleased for you @allthingssparkly ❤️

TeddyBeans · 30/07/2022 19:27

@Babynum2 no advice but sympathy 💐 it must be so tough contemplating terminating a much wanted baby. Are you being supported by drs?

Congratulations 😍

@Mrs2022 i had one at 6weeks +2 and one at 8 weeks +1 and I highly recommend waiting later on. 8 weeks was perfect. My 6 week scan was measuring smaller more like 5+4 and was so small to see.

Babynum2 · 30/07/2022 20:50

@TeddyBeans ive found a feed on here with ladies all in the same boat as me. Yes i go in every week for fluid and they call me also x

alotoftutus · 30/07/2022 21:08

@Babynum2 oh lovely. Don't feel too guilty. I have been there with my third!
HG is the absolute worst thing I have ever experienced, I too thought about terminating my pregnancy at the time as I just couldn't see how I could continue. It's a really common thought among HG mums. I also thought the same when I found out I was having number 4 - I just thought there was no way I could go through it again not for a single day. Thankfully I just had regular sickness.

Get them to keep trying different combinations of tablets - they may not work completely but even if you find something to take the edge off it's worth it. Tiny sips of flat coke also helped me - water wouldn't stay down at all for months but sips of coke would most days.

Don't worry about your other children, they will be absolutely fine living off crap for a while - they are probably quite enjoying it!

Here if you need a cry - it will end I promise xxxx
