Hi all lovely people!

Here’s a thread for all March babies 🥰 I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo with a due date on the 10th of March 2023. I suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks in early March so it feels special that we get our rainbow 🌈 baby around the one year mark!

A little about me: I’m 27, living in Sweden with my fiancé. This is our first child and we’ve really longed for this baby and desperately hoping it will stick this time!

Welcome to this journey, please tell me a little bit about you!

Thank you @Perexi @LittleAcorn20 ❤️

Handmaid2019 · 26/07/2022 21:24

@Kt12344 have you had any bleeding or pains at all? My bleeding has stopped but I'm passing brown discharge now. Really hope they can find your little bean tomorrow!

Thanks for the well wishes, I'm absolutely dreading the scan xxx

Kt12344 · 26/07/2022 21:42

@Handmaid2019 I had brown spotting for a week it stopped on Friday that's why I had the scan, I think they think it's an ectopic to be honest but they couldn't see anything anywhere on Monday so I'm not feeling hopeful for tomorrow with my HCG at 3760 they should already have seen something x

Handmaid2019 · 26/07/2022 22:26

Oh I'm sorry @Kt12344 🙁 hope you get some answers tomorrow xxx

Franklin321 · 27/07/2022 06:58

@Handmaid2019 @Kt12344 hope your scans go ok today ladies, I know how anxious the wait is for further scans/tests when you’re not sure of the outcome!

@Perexi I had mine last week and was just under 90mins. Mine consisted of a very lengthy medial questionnaire, bloods, urine, blood pressure, height and weight checks. They went through all the upcoming appointments etc.

Do they ask your partner anything or ask any questions about them? Mine would like to come, but I've told him it's going to be incredibly boring sitting there for an hour and a half while they just speak to me haha. So I was wondering if they do actually ask anything to them/about them, or?

Hann111 · 27/07/2022 08:22

Hi @rach971
I had my midwife appointment on Monday and I found it reassuring and it was nice to meet the lovely midwife. My husband was working so he couldn't come. They asked a few things about my partner - if I knew his blood type, his medical history and previous family history of any medical conditions. I answered what I could but they said don't worry if not at that early stage. As I am o rhesus negative blood type they may want to check his blood type because I believe there is a possible risk there but that would be later down the line. I didn't know what his blood type was and it seems he is not 100% sure either :)

Hope it goes well for the ladies who are scanning today.

I should be 9 weeks now, I have some brown spotting although I am on progesterone, and really no symptoms but hoping for the best so may book in for a scan as my last was 2.5 weeks ago now where they saw a heartbeat.

Xxx

Thank you, that's good to know. I'll see if he does want to come along or not. I don't even know my blood type haha, completely forgotten from last time around so it's a good job they check 🤣

I'm not having much symptoms wise either. Having a few mid-afternoon waves of nausea, boobs are very slightly sore but nothing major and I need to wee a little more. Also the last couple of days the thought of eating certain foods makes me feel 🤢. With my first I had no symptoms at all though apart from about two weeks of feeling nauseous early on.

Handmaid2019 · 27/07/2022 09:17

Thanks all, I'm so scared this morning. In at 1050 xxx

TeddyBeans · 27/07/2022 10:39

@Handmaid2019 good luck lovely, hope it's good news ❤️

mariabombia · 27/07/2022 10:57

Thinking of you both @Handmaid2019 & @Kt12344 ♥️ xx

Kt12344 · 27/07/2022 11:01

Just wanted to update you all.

She had a really good look still couldn’t find it, she said looked at my right ovary and said again theirs fluid and thought it was an ectopic but then go my a second opinion and it could be a corpus leuteum? Not sure what that is, she said she can confidently say it’s not going to be a successful pregnancy and took more bloods off they have risen I have to see a consultant tomorrow about what they are going to do x

mariabombia · 27/07/2022 11:02

I've got a drs app this afternoon about pregnancy sickness as every morning for the last two weeks I've continuously thrown up/felt dreadful/been dry heaving to the point where I can't keep anything down & feel exhausted. About 2pm it calms down and I can start to keep food & drink down but I still have waves of nausea and sickness throughout the day just not as severe.

Is anyone in a similar situation where they have prescribed something or does it need to be much worse ? Are their any side affects that anyones noticed from the medication?

Thanks xx

mariabombia · 27/07/2022 11:12

@Kt12344 a corpus leteum is a normal cyst that I believe produces progesterone to support a pregnancy. It's not harmful.

So sorry to hear that though, I can't imagine how you must be feeling 😔 what have they said it could be if your hormones keep rising? Are you in any pain? Xx

Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels · 27/07/2022 11:13

@Kt12344 I'm so sorry, that is a lot to deal with. I hope you get answers quickly and I'm glad you're getting a consultants support. Sending you lots of love

TeddyBeans · 27/07/2022 11:24

@Kt12344 I'm sorry you haven't got a straight answer, it must be really tough. Hopefully the consultant can shed some light tomorrow.

Kt12344 · 27/07/2022 11:38

@mariabombia They aren't sure, they can't see the pregnancy anywhere my uterus lining is thick but she said it looks like it's starting to come away, I've no pain or bleeding I had brown spotting for a week which is why I contacted the EPU X

@TeddyBeans I'm hoping I find something out this afternoon when they have my blood results it's hard as they aren't sure what's going on either x

hol92 · 27/07/2022 11:51

Hi everyone :)

hope it’s okay if I join, I am currently 5 weeks and due at the end of March, my symptoms I have had are , headaches, dizziness, sore boobs, and have recently been getting a stinking pain that I’m a little worried about and just wondered if anyone else has had this? I also noticed my boobs dont hurt as much today, I think my anxiety is just a bit high at the moment and I can’t keep off google! We tried for nearly two years I’m both so happy but also so scared it will all go wrong!

x

hol92 · 27/07/2022 12:26

sorry I meant a stinging pain not stinking 🙈 x

Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels · 27/07/2022 12:59

@Handmaid2019 how did it go?

I've just got my booking in appointment through and I've also booked an early private scan, even though I said I wasn't going to 🙈

BlondePotter · 27/07/2022 14:19

@Perexi @rach971 it'll be medical history of both sides and also blood tests.
Don't worry if you don't know blood type as that's one of the tests if you don't know.
Think they prefer partner not to be there as they asked about any domestic problems/violence. Also whether there's any history of drugs and prison. If you've ever taken Recreational drugs in the past don't mention it otherwise I've seen they record it and it may end up that you're monitored by social services. Obviously not wanted if you smoked a joint 10 years ago or whatever 😂

If you're rhesus negative you should be able to get a blood test (think I was around 16 weeks) to see if baby is rhesus negative. If they are then nothing further needed, if they are positive then you will have anti D injections further along.

Babynum2 · 27/07/2022 14:55

@mariabombia i was iest prescribed metroclopramide without seeing doctor i called the reception and dr sent it straight to pharmacy so no trouble however it didnt work. I then got cyclizine to take along side it and that didnt work, i got admitted to hospital they gave me it through my drip plus fluid and i felt better so now i have bucca which is disolved in your gum and metro. The side effects are that it makes you feel tired and a some gas but the meds arent actually fully working for me im still being sick and its just something im trying to live with now and hoping it will go after week 14. I hope you find something works for yours.

Handmaid2019 · 27/07/2022 15:07

@Kt12344 so sorry you're going through this, hope you can get some answers tomorrow from
