Hi all lovely people!

Here’s a thread for all March babies 🥰 I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo with a due date on the 10th of March 2023. I suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks in early March so it feels special that we get our rainbow 🌈 baby around the one year mark!

A little about me: I’m 27, living in Sweden with my fiancé. This is our first child and we’ve really longed for this baby and desperately hoping it will stick this time!

Welcome to this journey, please tell me a little bit about you!

Is there anyone in here with a bmi around 37? I’ve not been this weight and pregnant before so I think the worry is extra

Yes mine's apparently around 36.5ish! I've never been this weight before nor pregnant before but I do know my sister was still classed as obese when she conceived - she had surgery to help her lose weight as her weight was in the 20s (stones). My mum probably had a high BMI too for most of her pregnancies as she's so short (I'm one of 6! She had 10 pregnancies!) I just can't ask them anything unless I tell them early and I hoped to surprise them with the news!

I'm trying to feel better about it knowing how many women have been pregnant and carrying their own extra weight, eat unhealthy food while pregnant and still have a healthy baby at the end! I do know someone whose probably a similar weight to me and she has said about gestational diabetes but that she's being looked after well. If that helps lessen the worry.

I'm trying my best to get a walk in everyday, do light housework so I'm not sat all day and eat as healthy as I can. I do find myself getting very hungry at times (after some time not hungry at all) also I'm trying smaller meals with snacks that are meant to be full of nutrients in between. I realised I was able to leave sweet things alone and not crave it so much before I found out and I almost find sugary things too sweet now after not having them for a while. I've not craved sweet things at all yet - so much chocolate from nursery children and I don't want a bit of it! That could change if I get sweet cravings though! I'm not sure if it's a proper craving or not but I did had a random "I want walkers reasy salted crisps" moment yesterday and gave in settling for a few hula hoops from my boyfriend's lunch stack!
That's all I can suggest for you too atm is try to stay as healthy as you can and hopefully everything will be ok.

@JB2021 happens between 10-14 weeks according to NHS site.
With my first baby I was 13 weeks on my scan date.
It came through as a letter.
I'm still waiting for booking in and scan date.

JB2021 · 23/07/2022 10:58

@LittleAcorn20 thanks, hopefully I'll get a letter this week.

Had read between 10 and 14 weeks. We'd ideally like before 12 as we are seeing family who live 3 hours away so we'd like to be able to tell them in person!

LittleAcorn20 · 23/07/2022 11:12

Awwh I understand.
We live a couple of hours away from each of our parents so we've had to tell them over the phone. It's not quite the same.
Fingers crossed the scan date comes through soon for you and it's in time for you to have that reassurance to be able to share your happy news 🥰

SJ1994 · 23/07/2022 11:22

Had my private early scan this morning and very happy to report baby (just one!) is looking all good & healthy! Actually measuring ahead so they think more like 9 weeks, making the due date end of Feb! 🥰 first baby and very surreal to think they’re growing in my belly, actually looked like a baby too and not a bean!

JB2021 · 23/07/2022 11:37

@LittleAcorn20 we have told both parents face to face. My boss also knows and I'm considering telling my close team as they will need to help with lifting things.

We have a list of who is next and that includes my husbands cousins who are the ones 3 hours away so fingers crossed for 10 to 12 week scan!

JB2021 · 23/07/2022 07:33

Those of you who have your 12 week scan booked in, how did you get this appointment? Did the midwife book it when you first saw her or did you just get a letter?

Also what week is it? I'm hoping mine is before 12 weeks

I've just received my letter today - 9 weeks tomorrow.
I'll be almost 14 weeks by my scan appointment. So glad we've had early one!

No contact from a midwife yet though.

Barbequebeans64 · 23/07/2022 12:52

@AK93 I just sent an e consult to my docs and asked for higher strenght folic acid. This is my second baby and I did the same before :)

ChloeN · 23/07/2022 13:15

@SJ1994 how exciting!! I’ve got mine tomorrow but can’t help but feel nervous!!

Whydotheyallhaverubbishwheels · 23/07/2022 13:22

Just checking in to see how you're all doing.

I'm only just over 5 weeks and told a few friends already. I find it hard to lie and also nice to have people to talk to if the worst were to happen. It's our second baby too so Im not quite so precious 🤣

We had an early scan with my first born but not sure if we will this time. The time to get to the 12 week scan does feel very long though, I almost wish I hadn't found out so early!!

Rainbowbaby23 · 23/07/2022 13:30

Has anyone noticed their veins being alot more visible? Im only 6+4 but the veins on my hands are SO noticeable!!

Rainbowbaby23 · 23/07/2022 13:31

Look more noticeable in person

Due March 2023 ✨👶☀️🌈
TeddyBeans · 23/07/2022 14:23

@LondonMtoB I've told a load of people already because I can't keep a secret and it's too exciting to keep to myself 😅 I've had an early scan though so am confident everything is fine in there as of a week ago.

My 12 week scan is at 12+1 based off LMP (last menstrual period), they can be before 12 weeks but that's not been my experience this time or last time. Where I am, your scan date comes separately in the post from the hospital

TeddyBeans · 23/07/2022 14:26

Sorry that last paragraph in my previous message was for @JB2021

Laur08 · 23/07/2022 14:49

Hi everyone,
Wonder if anyone has experienced anything similar. Im currently 5+4 and have had really sore boobs for a couple of weeks, that & tiredness have been my only symptom really so far. Today I feel like they are suddenly not as sore. Still tender but nothing as bad as what they have been. Has anyone else had symptoms come and go really early on? Can’t help but worry! Xx

ChloeN · 23/07/2022 15:13

@Laur08 yep I had the exact same with my boobs, I panicked but a day or two later they hurt load again! I still find it fluctuates everyday xx

Laur08 · 23/07/2022 15:16

Aww that’s reassuring, thank you 💕 I know it’s still early days and it’s probably a few weeks until more symptoms kick in but I panicked this morning when I got up and they weren’t sore and heavy like they have been. I’ll be glad when these next few weeks are out the way!

Kt12344 · 23/07/2022 15:55

Got my 3+ and a dye stealer after a week of brown spotting, tested on Monday and still got 2-3🙂

Due March 2023 ✨👶☀️🌈
Dreamingof3 · 23/07/2022 17:58

@Kt12344 great line! I got my 3+ today too, whens your due date?

Due March 2023 ✨👶☀️🌈
Kt12344 · 23/07/2022 18:01

@Dreamingof3 congrats, 10th March going off my LMP, I've got a scan at EPU on Monday due to brown spotting for over a week it's stopped now though so I'm feeling confident everything is okay when's your due date? X

allthingssparkly · 23/07/2022 18:19

Hope everyone is doing okay 🥰🥰

I managed to get hold of the ginger sweets in Holland and Barrett so I will try those if and when the nausea hits me again!

I have my private early scan a week today, I can't believe how fast its coming round., I'm exactly 7 weeks today based on my LMP.

Are any other ladies finding they're feeling hungry more frequently throughout the day? Because it's something I have really noticed and if I dont eat something it's when the sickness starts! 🤔

LondonMtoB · 23/07/2022 18:25

@TeddyBeans haha ok amazing thank you.
we might tell our parents this weekend! 😅

JB2021 · 23/07/2022 19:13

@TeddyBeans thank you! Hope I get it just before 12 weeks. One cousin who my husband is closest to will likely guess, others may not. I just want it out in the open now.

Tiredness has hit me today. I always said I wanted to carry on as normal but I'm shattered

Dreamingof3 · 23/07/2022 19:59

@Kt12344 I'm not too sure 😅 19th going by my last period but I think my ovulation puts me about 5 days behind that so potentially 24th ish.
I hope your scan goes well! It's a great sign the spotting has stopped and your test has progressed x

Kt12344 · 23/07/2022 20:01

@Dreamingof3 I'm not sure when I ovulated as I'd don't do tests, I was on holiday and didn't want to get obsessed with testing so I might also be behind I know that I got my positive on CD 28, I will post a pic of my scan as long as everything's okay x
