Hi all lovely people!

Here’s a thread for all March babies 🥰 I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo with a due date on the 10th of March 2023. I suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks in early March so it feels special that we get our rainbow 🌈 baby around the one year mark!

A little about me: I’m 27, living in Sweden with my fiancé. This is our first child and we’ve really longed for this baby and desperately hoping it will stick this time!

Welcome to this journey, please tell me a little bit about you!

Morning ladies. Its lovely to see some familiar names from previous posts on here! Congrats to you all ❤️
We are off camping this weekend with the whole family pretty much, and Im a bit worried how to avoid the 'why are you not drinking' questions. I really want my partner and I to just be in our little secret bubble for a bit longer before we tell people, we literally found out yesterday 😫🙈 any advice?
I have medicine for my kidneys so thinking of the old 'uti' trick ha ha xx

Flowerpower8912 · 22/07/2022 08:55

@3isthemagicnumb3r oh no hope it passes for you soon 🤞 I've been OK symptom wise up to now just very tired I have had an upset belly on and off for weeks but I've been managing food. I had barely any symptoms at all with my first 2 pregnancies so I'm terrified I'm not going to be as lucky this time and the sickness could start soon! Yes, I have been worried about the age gap with the kids, they'll be 11 and 8 when baby comes, but we have sat and spoken with them and they both seem very excited, my 11 year old daughter loves kids, I imagine she'll be like a second little mammy lol.

Flowerpower8912 · 22/07/2022 08:59

@Missy95 I'm also off camping this weekend but just with my sisters family and we have told them. Hope you have a lovely time. Yes I'd go with UTI trick for not drinking, good idea!. Im just worried that the toilets aren't too far away for the many trips for a wee I'll be doing 😂

How far along are you? We haven't told anyone in real life! Im off to pick my brother up from the airport before we go camping, so he is definitely looking forward to a drink as well! 🤣 considering filling a vodka bottle up with water haha xx

Thirdtimesacharm3 · 22/07/2022 09:08

@allthingssparkly i am also feeling way more nauseous than I did with my two boys. Bought some Gin gins ginger sweets the other day and they help a lot. I think the BMI for folic acid is over 30 xxx

Markygirl1995 · 22/07/2022 09:30

I don’t know if anyone would be interested but I’ve set up a march 2023 Facebook group from BabyCentre. I use the one from 2021 when I had my daughter and I really rate it. Join if you want it becomes private in 3 days

Kayleehawkes · 22/07/2022 09:51

@Markygirl1995 hi I have joined FB group will my friends see I have joined ? I haven't told anyone yet

Markygirl1995 · 22/07/2022 09:53

@Kayleehawkes hey there’s nothing baby related on there at the moment! I wouldn’t worry too much. I’ve made it private but it doesn’t change from public to private till Monday just so people can join xx

TeddyBeans · 22/07/2022 10:25

@allthingssparkly BMI over 30 for 5mg folic acid

TeddyBeans · 22/07/2022 10:30

There's a Feb/march 2023 FB group that's been set up for a while. It's completely private/hidden and accessible by link only. You're welcome to join, we're over 70 members strong and very friendly and supportive 😘

allthingssparkly · 22/07/2022 10:49

Thank you @3isthemagicnumb3r and @TeddyBeans spoke with the GP and they have prescribed me the 5mg folic acid.

Where did you get the ginger sweets from @3isthemagicnumb3r? X

Thirdtimesacharm3 · 22/07/2022 12:30

Ginger sweets are from Holland and Barratt I’ve got the boiled ones but there are chewy too

JB2021 · 22/07/2022 13:26

Finally got midwife appointment for 5 August. I will be 8 weeks then asLMP was 8 June.

LondonMtoB · 22/07/2022 13:34

Hello everyone! I really want to join the FB but I’m so paranoid that people will be able to see I’ve joined 😂
Am in desperate need of people to talk to about pregnancy as my partner is pretty clueless and always working (he’s a contractor)
I’m 30, this is our first baby, and my due date is coming out at March 16th on the calculators. So I think I’m 5 weeks 5 days?
so so excited! Doesn’t really feel real yet….

but yesterday at work I got really faint and shaky at the end of the day, think I was hungry.
And then today woke up with terrible nausea…I guess that’s a good sign kinda? Lol

i bought some water crackers to eat. I have some fresh ginger too, might make a juice!

also is anyone gonna tell like one special friend before the 12 weeks? I don’t know if I can do another 6 weeks without telling a soul! X

LondonMtoB · 22/07/2022 13:37

Sorry what’s LMP?

G0ldfinch · 22/07/2022 14:16

@JB2021 that’s great news! Have been keeping my eye out to see how you got on. Very pleased for you it’s in the diary

Rainbowbaby23 · 22/07/2022 14:18

Has anyone got their covid vaccine during the first trimester? Did use have any weird symptoms after. I feel really really hot after my 2nd dose!

AGirlsNameIsAryaStark · 22/07/2022 15:34

@BecT I found out last weekend, calculated due date to be 31st March so right at the end! How are you feeling? I seem to have on and off cramps a bit like period pain but all the Googling says thats normal. Just booked in to have an early scan on 7th August just for a bit of reassurance!

JB2021 · 22/07/2022 16:17

@G0ldfinch thank you. I had to chase as hadn't heard. Midwife only works there Thursday and Friday. Still didn't get a call but got a text with an appointment in.

Hoping I'll get a scan date soon. We really want this before August Bank holiday!

ChloeN · 22/07/2022 16:35

@LondonMtoB i joined the Facebook group and none of my friends and family have mentioned they’ve seen anything so don’t worry it can’t be visible to anyone else if not they 100% would of said 🤣🤣

AK93 · 22/07/2022 17:05

Regarding folic acid I phoned Drs this morning but they had no calls available, receptionist put through a referral to a pharmacist but he said to try econsult (may not hear anything until Monday) I think I'll pretty much be 6 weeks then so not sure if its too late for a higher dose to help if I do get prescribed it.

I believe it's a BMI above 30 there is potential of requiring the 5mg.

Hopefully everything will be ok anyway I just worried when I read about it!

You can get some gins etc that are non alcoholic and look exactly like the real thing. I've got one from m&s and it's lush. You can then stick to those and get DH to make/swap your drinks?

Markygirl1995 · 22/07/2022 21:17

Is there anyone in here with a bmi around 37? I’ve not been this weight and pregnant before so I think the worry is extra

dmb91 · 23/07/2022 06:02

Any tips to calm the nausea? 🤢

JB2021 · 23/07/2022 07:33

Those of you who have your 12 week scan booked in, how did you get this appointment? Did the midwife book it when you first saw her or did you just get a letter?

Also what week is it? I'm hoping mine is before 12 weeks
