Hi all lovely people!

Here’s a thread for all March babies 🥰 I got my BFP this morning at 10dpo with a due date on the 10th of March 2023. I suffered a miscarriage at 7 weeks in early March so it feels special that we get our rainbow 🌈 baby around the one year mark!

A little about me: I’m 27, living in Sweden with my fiancé. This is our first child and we’ve really longed for this baby and desperately hoping it will stick this time!

Welcome to this journey, please tell me a little bit about you!

@Markygirl1995 I have similar symptoms! I've got a little one already too so hoping holidays will distract me aswell🤣 I lost a baby at 12 weeks in Feb so I'm sooo nervous this time around but have more symptoms so hoping all a good sign! Are you looking at a St Patrick's day baby then?? My due date atm is 18th March!! Im hoping I'll be offered an 8 week scan but if not im going to book one! Xxx

3isthemagicnumb3r · 21/07/2022 16:48

I feel so nauseous today! And was up at 3am dry heaving (sorry if this sets anyone off lol) I'm shocked I wasn't actually sick how crummy I felt. The weather didn't help, it was still quite stuffy in my house. Today I feel so queasy and don't want to eat but when I do, it helps for 20 minutes or so, so I'm eating snack a jack type things and ginger biscuits throughout the day. I was definitely a lot more queasy with my daughter than son, so I'm guessing it's another girl, but I know that's just a guess and I could be wrong. As long as it isn't twins ;)
Still sore boobs and super tired. I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow. Private scan next weekend!
Hope everyone is ok! X

Markygirl1995 · 21/07/2022 17:00

@mummyofrb im looking at the 20th at the moment but I have got a scan 2 weeks time just to confirm as I can’t remember the first day of my lmp oops. So sorry to hear about your loss, not easy at all! Hope these little ones stick for us all! Xx

mummyofrb · 21/07/2022 19:24

@Markygirl1995 aw the more scans the better I think!! I wouldn't have known mine but I luckily track my periods with an app so that's how I knew!! Yeah I am feeling nervous but still positive that it will all go well this time!! Can't wait to get that first scan, it's so magical when it all goes to plan xxx

Markygirl1995 · 21/07/2022 19:27

@mummyofrb same here I honestly don’t think they do them as much! Yes I’m nervous too this pregnancy was unplanned and I didn’t expect it. I don’t actually feel pregnant at the moment or genuinely believe it. I feel anything like earlier the fatigue i over think it then magically get more symptoms 😂 xx

Perexi · 21/07/2022 19:48

I told my partner today, it still hadn't really sunk in that it was a bfp but he was so happy and excited! The perfect reaction, phew

allthingssparkly · 21/07/2022 19:54

Please tell me I'm not alone , for a good couple of hours now I've felt so so nauseous 😞 it just doesn't want to shift. Currently 6w5d 🤍 I don't remember feeling sick so early on with my two children 😩

LittleAcorn20 · 21/07/2022 20:26

@allthingssparkly you're not alone. I'm 7+3 and my nausea has been so bad since about 5 weeks. With my daughter the sickness only started at 10 weeks.
The thought of all food makes me feel terrible.
I did manage to get the GP to prescribe some anti-sickness tablets on Tuesday and after taking those for a few days I'm managing to eat slightly more, but still not proper meals.
I'm living off dairylea on crackers, Cheerios and salt and vinegar crisps 😩
I had to have anti sickness tablets in my first pregnancy too, if it gets bad to the point it affects eating perhaps ask GP

Noodle20 · 21/07/2022 20:54

@allthingssparkly I'm currently 7+4 and feeling so nauseous. I rarely feel like eating or drinking even though I'm hungry and thirsty. It's horrible, I def don't remember feeling like this before. Was hoping it's just the heat but since it's cooled down I still feel just as bad.

allthingssparkly · 21/07/2022 21:08

Isn't it so awful @LittleAcorn20 & @Noodle20 😞 I'm trying to eat some toast but even then I'm still feeling it 😭

LittleAcorn20 · 21/07/2022 21:12

@Noodle20 @allthingssparkly
I definitely think the advice to eat cold rather than hot meals helps. The smell of food when it's hot or being prepared really triggers my nausea.
The thought of butter on hot toast is one of my worst triggers 😭🤮
I really don't remember being this bad before, which made me think maybe this one is a boy. But others have said they felt more sick with their girls so 🤷‍♀️ there's no telling 😁

Noodle20 · 21/07/2022 21:16

@LittleAcorn20 & @allthingssparkly yeh dry cold things seem to be the go to altho I really have to force it down. It's liquids I'm really struggling with, I can just about sip on ice chips which is so weird.
I had a boy last time and was def not this bad, altho I had pretty bad aversions I could manage gallon loads of apple juice and haribo jellies. So maybe thinking this is a girl but who knows!!
I just wish it would ease off esp at work, it's hard to maintain concentration!!

LittleAcorn20 · 21/07/2022 21:23

@Noodle20 yes it is bad at work I totally agree.
I've had to tell a couple of my colleagues as I've been late in some mornings and just not really pulling my weight, felt to guilty not to just come clean and explain I have good reason at the mo!
Make sure you're managing to stay hydrated though! That's way more important than the food part even 😩
With my daughter it started at 10 weeks and passed at 14, but if this sickness stops after 4 weeks I'll be worried my symptoms are going 🤣 these first few weeks are certainly a rollercoaster

Noodle20 · 21/07/2022 21:32

@LittleAcorn20 I would tell my work but last time they told everyone even tho I'd explicitly said not to (we hadn't told family members who also work for the company) so I've learnt the hard way of not being honest. I'm leaving it as long as possible this time round.
Yeh hydration is def key but it's so hard.

LittleAcorn20 · 21/07/2022 21:42

@Noodle20 that's so poor of them!! I would have been so annoyed! I'm lucky I can really trust my work girls. I wouldn't tell my boss however as he would not keep it to himself I know that.
Not too much longer to wait til it can all be out in the open! ☺️
How old is your son, what will the age gap be?
My daughter turned 2 at the end of May, she was a pandemic baby so I'm quite interested/excited for pregnancy and mat leave/newborn stage in a more normal world!

Noodle20 · 21/07/2022 21:45

@LittleAcorn20 my boy will be 2 end of the year so another lockdown baby too. Am excited for normal Mat leave too. Had my booking appt today which was nice to have in person. Hoping things continue to improve back to the way they were. Ie partners at scans etc

Flowerpower8912 · 21/07/2022 21:50

Hi @3isthemagicnumb3r congratulations! Hope you're feeling okay?
I'm pretty much same as you, I'll be 7 weeks on Monday, due date 13th March, this will be 3rd child. I had my first 2 children in my early twenties and I'm now 33.
Im very excited but also very anxious, got an early scan booked for next Friday x

LittleAcorn20 · 21/07/2022 21:58

Oh it'll be a really lovely gap I think ☺️
You've had your booking appt nice and early, I've been told mine will be around 11 weeks which I thought was really late, given it was around now with my first.
Things are all back to normal with maternity services where I am in Worcestershire 🎉 hopefully they're like it for you too, if not now, then soon.
I was lucky to have most of my pregnancy pandemic free. Birth was weird and scary without my partner there til established labour and I wanted to use the midwife led birthing centre rather than delivery ward but it was closed during covid. And then it was just the lack of anyone allowed over to visit us. But in some ways I think that was nice, a little bubble for us to all adapt rather than the chaos of people in and out of the house all time. I think Ill find it hard to let people in this time 🤣 but that's getting way ahead of myself 😬

Hi @Flowerpower8912 😊
I'm alright, just really really nauseous and tired. Feel like I have a stomach bug, only managing toast and crisps, at least it's for a nice reason though and not just illness 😅how are you?
My scan is booked for next saturday.
Are you nervous about the age gap? I am, although I'm glad my older two will have each other and hopefully won't feel left out during the newborn phase x

I could have typed this...I actually did post something similar earlier on! I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and SO nauseous. Very similar to how I felt with my daughter, but this time worse, I didn't feel half as queasy with my son, so I'm presuming it's another girl but I know it's literally 50 50 lol and doesn't always follow the same symptoms x

dmb91 · 22/07/2022 00:01

Hi everyone
I got my BFP after 13months TTC 🥳
I have extremely long cycles but according to the date I think I ovulated I'm 4wks with an EDD of 30th March

rach971 · 22/07/2022 00:37

Hello everyone ☺️

Found out I was pregnant (with my second) the Sunday before last and it honestly feels like I've known forever! I'm so eager to be able to have my first appointments and to tell people! Not sure exactly how far along I am but at a guess I'm around 6-7 weeks. Got an early scan booked for a week on Tuesday, then my booking appointment is the Tuesday after that. I'm so nervous for the scan because that's when you really find out if everything is okay in there. I'm such a worrier 🤣

Symptoms wise I've had some nausea and sore boobs but nothing overly bad. With my first I had barely any symptoms at all. I had mild nausea early on and that was about it.

Just so impatient for everything to happen and to know if baby is okay in there 😩😩

x

TeddyBeans · 22/07/2022 07:42

@AK93 I put in an online enquiry at my drs about 5mg folic acid due to BMI and got a call back. The midwife team also called in between to say I needed 5mg so they were going to email the GP for me. When the GP called to discuss, I could tell them that the midwife had emailed them and they put the prescription straight through for me.

@allthingssparkly last time my nausea started at 6+6 and lasted through to 16 weeks. This time it started at 6 weeks but doesn't feel so bad. I've got 3 halves of promethazine left and then going to try going without. It's such a pain trying to work out how best to deal with it 💐

allthingssparkly · 22/07/2022 07:43

I am managing to keep hydrated, drinking plenty of water which is a positive its just the nausea that really makes me feel rough, hopefully it subsides. I have two boys and never felt this bad early on I don't recall.

I'm temped not to find out the sex of our baby this time round, we shall see how long i hold out for 🤣

allthingssparkly · 22/07/2022 07:53

What number does your BMI have to be over to require the prescription folic acid?

I've been taking these ones from Boots since 4w5d. I had my BMI done at the doctors only 2 months ago but can't remember what she said it was 🙈🙈
