Apologies all, hadn't spotted that we'd hit 1000 (and did also wonder if 1000 posts was an old site thing as the last one could have gone on for longer!)

List provided by @paintfairy as ever.

Need to catch up but am updating my CV after a call with a recruiter yesterday, obviously 31 weeks pregnant is the perfect time to discuss new jobs!

Ooh thanks for making a new thread @larrythelizard

I think something is happening here ladies. 🀞🏻 37+2 and had lots of bum pressure last night, then lost two big bits of mucus plug (sorry guys, know it's possibly TMI) this am and now getting intermittent period pain. I've bounced lots and met a friend for lunch, now feel shattered so laying on the bed in the dark...

Never had any of this last time as was induced and it took days to even dilate, let alone lose mucus plug.

larrythelizard · 16/06/2022 16:35

Ooh @feliznavidad2 could be exciting. I went into labour spontaneously with DS but never lost my plug so not sure how soon before labour it can occur? Get rest in where you can!

OP posts:
BellatrixK · 16/06/2022 16:47

Wow! How exciting @feliznavidad2 I have no ideas or advice, I’m just here to be excited for you!

Thank you for the new bus @larrythelizard

Awww, @minster2012, that picture is gorgeous! She definitely suits that colour. I’ll always appreciate your time as a mule πŸ˜‚

@bez91 I’d definitely be in the back too, maybe enjoy the peace?

Guys, I’m 18 weeks today! I feel like this trimester is definitely speeding up and I might be enjoying pregnancy now! We’re following @paintfairy β€˜s advice and going to the Trafford Centre to look at prams this weekend.

Minster2012 · 16/06/2022 17:24

Whoops, I totally didn't realise I was filling up the thread earlier, sorrrrrreeeeeee πŸ˜‚πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

@feliznavidad2 that's very exciting!! I didn't lose my plug either but did start with period type pain (after the episode of "sperm/wee or amniotic fluid" of course!) def get rest whikst you can. Oh and TMI?? Us??? What??? Nope

@BellatrixK oooo have fun at the Trafford center! I think I also started to feel excited around that time, prob cos we got a gender scan at 16 weeks so I knew it was a little girly! A few of us on the bus have passed around progesterone, cos you know, nhs doesn't like to n all πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈI still have one lot left in case any of our long timers need it (or a resident aunty, @Franklydear we are here!)

Minster2012 · 16/06/2022 17:25

Ps @larrythelizard thank you for the new bus, and loving the name! It's really interesting that on the may Facebook page from the may thread here I'm sure I read there were 12 girls & 12 boys! How bout that!

InkyPaper · 16/06/2022 17:37

Phew! Found you all πŸ˜„ thanks for setting up the new thread @larrythelizard!

@BellatrixK 18 weeks! It's flying by πŸ˜„ second trimester is definitely better than the first, glad you're enjoying it more!

@feliznavidad2 oooh that sounds exciting! Do you need to tell the midwife about the mucus plug?

Soph0105 · 16/06/2022 17:45

Hello! Just place marking on the new thread 😊 mad day today, was in work to do IT related admin and of course there was a massive power cut so that went well πŸ˜‚ was about to go home when it came back on again... πŸ™„

Bestie's ECV was not successful so section booked for next week. She's gutted but I'm just excited for the baby to be here so trying to rein it in a bit 😬

PTSD has slept through the last 3 nights. When can I start to get excited about this?! Last time he did it for a week just to fuck with us and then he started waking up again. Thinking if that happens this time we're just going to bite the bullet and night wean. He clearly doesn't need it!

larrythelizard · 16/06/2022 18:35

Haha as if you're calling me a catfish @Soph0105!! Forecast to be 30c here tomorrow, I think I'll be moving very slowly!

Ooh get you resuming your busy social life @Minster2012 - I'm sure your parents will work B out, or not and they'll just cuddle her til you get back!

I think it's not prescribing glasses in case it's pregnancy making then screwy instead of eye stuff but I need something as I'm so inefficient at work!

Most of my NCT group thought the leaps were predicted at the right time @bez91 @DKDK123 - I also don't get how it goes off due date at 12 weeks but I did like the reassurance that I hadn't broken DS and it was just some stuff he was going through!

Have a lovely holiday @DKDK123

Eek @bez91 4-6am is tough!! I discovered with DS that I seem to get the deepest sleep at 4/5am in the morning so DH used to do those feeds! Haha on the post partum arse, bet it's a bit more peaceful back there too!

Just had to tell DS 'don't put the velociraptor in the poo'. Sentences I never thought I'd say!!

OP posts:
Franklydear · 16/06/2022 18:55

There you are!
@feliznavidad2 sounds like things are moving, exciting
@larrythelizard thank you for the new bus
@Minster2012 I am here, .... uses the inhaler....

right, time to put you in the loop, cos with besties business I didn’t have time to dwell on it, cd 29, 11 days after the spotting, bit of nausea, mainly when hungry, big boobs but not uncomfy, and no cramps but a state of constant constipation, what do we think?

larrythelizard · 16/06/2022 19:15

Soz aunty @Franklydear should have tagged you.

Hmmm how long are cycles normally? Maybe a test on Sunday??

OP posts:
Franklydear · 16/06/2022 19:22

@larrythelizard i will never get my official tittle😒. Cycles usually 25/26 but gone from 22 till 32, occasionally.... not periody, and I don’t know what I want you all to say, oh and cm in crazy levels, for some strange reason I don’t feel inclined to test .....although I’ll have to

feliznavidad2 · 16/06/2022 20:34

Thanks for the support all. No developments, been bouncing, think may have been a false alarm. Got another S&S tomorrow, this poor babe. And another blood test to check bile acid levels.

@InkyPaper told midwife earlier as I'm a control freak and worried that I should be doing something, she said monitor contractions (don't think I've had any proper ones), and keep a close eye on movement... and ring labour ward if any concerns or if waters go.

Lexber · 17/06/2022 05:40

Thank you for the tag!

I'm here although in all honesty haven't even opened MN for days lately due to little miss E and life being pretty hectic! Twin life has definitely taken hold of me!
Absolutely loving it but exhausted at the same time - some days I don't even have chance to watch tv 🀣 now they're more alert and active it's all systems go!!
Plus some nights sleep isn't fantastic... like tonight!

1.30am wake for E, 3.30 wake for T, then E 4.30 and still up... last night I was up from 2.15 onwards and gave in at 9... tag teaming me 🀣 the heat isn't helping. Then very fussy yesterday fighting sleep...

I will try harder to get on more but I find I can flick through Instagram easier so post there when I get a solo feed - which at the minute isn't that often. Still got lots of hospital appointments for them (mainly E) plus I've started trying to go to a baby class a week (2 in 1 day last week πŸ€£πŸ€¦πŸ½β€β™€οΈ) and I even used Peanut to meet other mums in the area and we try and meet for a walk each week, then throw in my older 2 and life... Jesus I'm tired just writing it down! Let's just say if it isn't on my calendar it problem won't happen as I forget 🀣🀣🀣

Hope everyone is doing ok? Xx

Franklydear · 17/06/2022 05:56

Oh @Lexber you are doing amazing, I know it’s hard and doesn’t feel like it, but it’s all good, insta is good and I love those pics

bez91 · 17/06/2022 07:09

Thanks for the new thread @larrythelizard I didn't even clock how close we were to filling up!

@BellatrixK enjoy pram shopping, definitely good To try out as many as possible. good to hear you're enjoying being pregnant too, I think the second tri is the most enjoyable

@feliznavidad2 you should know by now that nothing is TMI here. All sounds promising, could be baby just getting into position. I had the bum pressure too. Me and my friend were talking about the mucus plug the other day and saying how disappointed we were that we never saw sight of it πŸ˜‚

@Soph0105 enjoy the sleep whilst it lasts! Although you'll probably now pop on and say the phase is already over, it changes so quickly!

@larrythelizard "don't put the velociraptor in the poo" πŸ˜‚ I need to brush up on my dinosaur knowledge. DD asked me what letter Pterodactyl began with the other day. I wasn't in the mood for a 2 hour inquisition on the English language so I naughtily just said T πŸ™ˆ

@Lexber wow, can they not be more in sync? Maybe they will come with age although I suppose with E being smaller her demands will be very different! That's tough sounds like you're doing great πŸ’ͺ🏼

Think we have a new sleep demon It's 6:30am, Z has been crying since midnight bar a couple of 20 min stints where he'll sleep on us which isn't ideal when it's warm like this,he's just settled asleep in his buggy in the garden πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ DD been up since 05:10 after waking up 6 times in the night - she's sun creamed up for the day playing in the garden and I'm counting down the minutes until nursery opens πŸ˜‚

Minster2012 · 17/06/2022 09:05

@bez91 god that doesn't sound good on either DD waking or Z, there was a tip online about putting a Muslin between you & baby for being on you so they dont stick to you πŸ˜‚. I was reading X a dinosaur book the other day & I couldn't even pronounce one of them! So I'm all for Pterodactyl being spelt with a T! What time does nursery start?

@Lexber you are smashing it darling! I've not found a class I want to go to yet, we don't have a baby sensory one only a room that you hook yourself so my friend and I might do that

@feliznavidad2 I think it's all good signs she may be getting ready to come of her own accord 🀞🏻

@larrythelizard all I want to know is whether the velociraptor ended up in the πŸ’© or not? Hope DS has a fab birthday πŸŽ‚

@Franklydear maybe test at the weekend then? 🀞🏻

@Soph0105 he def doesn't need feeding at night so I would def night wean him, then hopefully he'll keep up the sleeping through

@InkyPaper how are you for symptoms btw? You feeling ok?

Well it's not the massive scorcher they said here yet, I even need to go get a cardi, il heading into town to get my nails done & have lunch with little B as well as getting the Father's Day bits that X has instructed me to...balloons, stuff to make a big cookie πŸͺ

whatwonder · 17/06/2022 09:51

Hi everyone,

haven’t caught up on the new thread yet (thanks for sorting btw @larrythelizard !)

adjusting to the newborn life. Haven’t sleep in what feels like years. Baby girl has been cluster feeding up a storm, good to get my milk supply established, but it has meant I’m getting about 2-3 hours sleep per each 24h period. If one more person tells me to sleep when the baby sleeps I will scream.

anyways, I’m here, thinking of you all and sending best wishes but won’t be v active on the thread for the next little while xx

Minster2012 · 17/06/2022 10:02

@whatwonder πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚we hear ya!! Good luck!

paintfairy · 17/06/2022 10:20

Replying to old thread stuff as well as new, if it sounds confusing.....

@larrythelizard yeah I thought the same about the initial thing as names beginning with mine are really popular right now and it does just make things awkward. Best avoided if you can, and I'm hoping I can..... Moving slowly? Do you move fast? I certainly don't these days. 🀣🀣
@InkyPaper hardly got any sleep last night and yes I've been dreading today. I also have no clothes.
@Minster2012 I was referring to pushing the baby out slowly. But it also applies to the other things. 🀭 I'm also unsure about apps etc for things. Sometimes maybe we would be better going with the flo so to speak? I'm not sure many babies do suit baby pink? I'm not a massive fan myself. Doesn't look too really get hot here until later but it is pretty warm. There is a breeze though and some cloud.
@Soph0105 I wouldn't like North in winter but right now I think I would love to be there! Fingers crossed for the sleeping! 🀞
@DKDK123 enjoy your holiday!
@bez91 I actually did lol at your comment about being in the boot! Which was an achievement as I was crying at the time I read it. 🀣 Will elaborate below. Not so great on the sleep demon development.
@feliznavidad2 exciting times. Never TMI around here!
@BellatrixK enjoy the prams! Make sure you get them to show you how to put them up and down.
@Lexber loving the insta pics. It does sound very hectic.
@whatwonder fully understand! Hope everything is going well.

God, last night was boiling. I ended up pacing about and coming downstairs to sit in the kitchen with the back door open. And opening all windows and internal doors trying to get some cooler air in about 1am. DH meanwhile was cocooned in the (summer weight) duvet? No idea how! I have nothing to bloody wear in this insane weather, that fits. You can't try anything on anywhere. Unhelpful.

Yesterday I was informed I have a work baby shower Saturday. Which I kind of knew about. It'll be men and women as I work with mostly men. So more just a get together (I hope). But off the back of that (silly person forwarded a whole email trail, didn't read it all) came knowledge that I'm also having a proper one next week with friends. Which i did wonder about (friend told me it was just her and another person though, and casual cake). I then started getting really stressed because I have nothing to wear (some people will be at both) and I'm also seeing other people tonight that will be at the 2nd. And I can't wear the same thing twice! And why would people do this to me? Plus I hate attention and never would choose a baby shower. I even cried over it. πŸ™ˆπŸ€£ But I think it's partly hormones. However- why would you even do that to a hormonal pregnant person!? Ffs. I was also very hot and bothered yesterday. I've not told friend I know but then I was stressing who she's invited as I don't want people to be missed and then be annoyed with me. Honestly. πŸ™„ Yep, exactly what I need. So now I have less than a week to find something to bloody wear, and neither do I know what the weather is doing. Mum helpfully was like go in anything, its fine. But really you don't want to turn up looking a state to your own 'thing'. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ DH's response was don't go. 🀣
In other news all local McDonald's have no ice cream and haven't for over a week. And I've eaten all the stuff out the house. DH failed to get some from shopping this morning. So I'm angry about that now too. 🀭

bez91 · 17/06/2022 10:45

Sounds a good day planned @Minster2012 nursery starts from 7:30 so I rushed to Tesco for a card this morning too πŸ™ˆ got other bits! Oooh nails being done, good stuff! I have a deep tissue massage booked later, my shoulder has been in agony just from carrying Z around a lot and in an awkward posture so can't wait for that and the foam roller really isn't cutting it. All the pampering required for us I think 😴

@whatwonder keep going mama and yes b*locks to everyone who says that, they obviously A - have a very very low needs baby (doll maybe) that perhaps doesn't feed, soil their nappy or cry or B - have a butler/nanny that does every other task for them in life inc showering them. Hopefully things improve over the next week for you, keep going πŸ’•

Wow some anger there @paintfairy πŸ˜‚ I'd actually be annoyed with a surprise baby shower. Told my friend both times it's not to happen I hate the attention so she didn't. It's with all good intentions though and lovely of your work colleagues too! Could you buy a few maternity things online and send a couple back? You should get them in time.

InkyPaper · 17/06/2022 11:54

@Minster2012 no symptoms at all really! Still get fiery nips on occasion but my only real symptom is a bit of cramping now and again - which tbh I suspect might be baby having a stretch/thumping me πŸ˜‚ Hip pain has eased off, which is good πŸ˜„ you're wearing a cardi?! Omg it's so hot here I am melting πŸ˜‚

@paintfairy I feel your pain! I found maternity stuff at New Look and H&M (holy crap is it hidden in H&M though) but the options were so damned limited and not to my taste at all. I ended up buying some stuff online, which should turn up today. Really, I just want knee length shorts because chub rub is a clear and present danger, but all the maternity shorts I've seen have been like sodding hot pants πŸ™ˆ or like super expensive 😭 also with you on the baby shower, I've been telling people I don't want one since the moment we were telling people I was pregnant πŸ˜‚ If I were you, I'd wear the same outfit though - it's not worth the shopping stress! I'm about to wear the same maternity dress to the third family function in 3 weeks πŸ˜‚

@Lexber haha I find it easier with Instagram too and I don't even have one baby, nevermind two! You're doing great πŸ˜„

@feliznavidad2 makes sense! Hope you're feeling OK today!

Minster2012 · 17/06/2022 14:02

OMG. I'm. SO. ANNOYED.
Went to get my nails done. Walking there put B to sleep in the pram which is just how I wanted her so I could put her to the corner whilst having my πŸ’… done. Plan worked, I'm there having nails done, an older lady walks in, sits in the waiting seats near B's corner & immediately PEERS in the pram (where she's fully hood up, can't see her much so she can sleep & protected from sun) and then she PULLS THE HOOD BACK to look at her, coo over her. B immediately wakes up & cries. I'm stuck having my nails done. AIBU to punch her when I finished?! How f ing rude?! Why do ppl think it's ok to do that without asking??? "Can I look at your baby?" "No, sorry, she's asleep & I have shit to do (& she's not napped this morning & I need a break!)" πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ

Rant over

@paintfairy I found your whole post there hilarious, just because that's exactly how I was towards the end of the pregnancy πŸ˜‚how my mind worked, my hormones etc. it's lovely you are getting 2 baby showers (though I also hate attention & they aren't really a thing with my mates so haven't had one), asos is your friend here I think! No ice cream??? What?? Our nursery have sent a message to say Morrisons have delivered ice lollies to them for free which is fab!

@bez91 yes with you on the early nursery starts! A deep tissue massage sounds amazing, these babies & carrying really do f us up & btw @InkyPaper im not wearing a cardigan now πŸ₯΅ It's good you haven't got symptoms that's fab, there's a few ppl who are breezing through pregnancy ok so the heat isn't great & the rub but mehhhhhhh

Somatronic · 17/06/2022 14:10

@larrythelizard thanks for the new thread!

@paintfairy oh God you poor thing. A baby shower would be my worst nightmare. No actually, a surprise baby shower would be. I'm with @InkyPaper just wear the same outfit to both. You don't need that stress at the moment.

@whatwonder sounds like you're doing great! I hope you get some sleep soon!

@Franklydear keep us updated please.

I haven't had a proper appointment about pregnancy yet so I'm not sure about the rules around being around infectious people? My GP appointment where I cried for half an hour straight about work and fatigue/migraines doesn't count because he just muttered something about folic acid and vaccinations at me.

My baby niece is in hospital with bronchiolitis and her 3 year old sister has cold symptoms. I offered to look after the 3 year old tomorrow and my SIL said I shouldn't even visit because I'm pregnant and my DH agrees with her. Is that right? I wouldn't have thought twice about it πŸ€”
