Well @Somatronic most ppl say avoid illness where you can so it's reasonable to say you want to sit it out where ppl have infectious diseases def. I mean you've been feeling shit, wiped out & have been signed off burnt out, I'm not sure you want to add further exhausting illness to that?

@bez91 a deep tissue massage sounds amazing! And anyone that knows me should know that I hate attention and wouldn't like it. So I've no idea why. I openly said back in March I didn't want one.
@InkyPaper I have never managed to find maternity shorts either. Why on earth you'd want short ones I've no idea. I've got some asda ones I like and they seem to not sell them any more. But I went on vinted and found some in the next size up. They are elasticated at the back and have some give. But it hinges on how big you are. Probably won't work nearer the end but I'm using them to do horses in etc.
@Minster2012 Holy Shit! I would have gone mental! How dare she? I don't understand why anyone would do that without permission? I wouldn't dream of it. I'm not even sure why you would even ask a stranger to peer at their baby, never mind do it without asking. I would have punched her, yes.

@Somatronic I don't know. No one tells you not to go near people. But having been ill back in March, i can honestly say it wasn't pleasant and I've avoided people since. You can't take anything! And so it was a miserable existence.
A baby shower is my worst nightmare too. I nearly didn't have a hen do for the same reason! And I relented but they had strict rules given to them. People know I hate that crap? 🤷‍♀️ In fact not only do I hate attention but I don't agree with baby showers and the present thing prior to birth.
@Franklydear my friend doesn't know i know. Your body certainly does seem to like to keep you on your toes! Might as well test? 🤷‍♀️

I had a routine midwife appointment this morning. All was fine, apart from I'm measuring even smaller bump wise. So she rang the hospital. I had a scan booked for next Friday but that is over 3 weeks from the last one, so she said she'd tell them and then leave it up to them. They called me and said it was probably fine but they'd better check and gave me an appointment for this afternoon. 🙈 Not how I'd planned to spend my day. Plus its boiling. 🌞 All is fine. Baby was yawning away like it was hassle. 🤣 I'm still on the same trajectory (still small) but she's still growing at the same rate so they aren't worried. And now it's messed up all my other booked appointments. I think I've now got to go in 2 weeks. Honestly. Stress you just don't need!

@paintfairy and @Minster2012 fair enough. You make good points. I just really miss my nieces. I haven't seen them since March and I was all excited to see them both. Oh well. Next time.

Had a lovely day for DS' Birthday although a quiet afternoon indoors as car said it was 30c here and our garden is south facing so assuming actually more than 30c. Need him to get to bed and then I can pack for holiday - DH is out tonight so will be able to do it in peace (to be clear not packing anything for him!!)

@Somatronic I think it's because your immune system dips when you're pregnant, so you're more likely to pick up every bug going. Also, there's not a lot of medication you can take when pregnant so it's like extra miserable

Nothing to report ladies other than I need a fan in our room at night god it was horrible to sleep last night, woke up with sweaty boobs well I was like is my boobs leaking or isit boob sweat? 🧐 pregnant in summer problems! Last day at work was today 🥺🥺🥺 just had my MW appointment this morning nothing to really report from it other than they now go every 2 week until due date :O bubs is still measuring good on the chart which is always lovely! BBQ was lovely tonight with friends after work but it’s never great working in hospital settings with no air con no nothing in 30 degree heat 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I feel like clothes options are becoming more limited not because they don't fit just because I don't feel particularly flattering in them 🫣 oh well!

Tried checking in this morning ladies but lost the thread like a nugget but @Minster2012 rescued me because I've come to the conclusion MN doesn't like me as I now don't have notifications when people @ me in things -.-

Little life update from me..
the girls are both beautiful and watching their friendship blossom makes all the heart ache worthwhile. M absolutely lights up when O walks in the room and it makes me melt.
M is finally putting on weight and next month we start weaning, she's still got horrific reflux but I finally feel like we might be winning. She's just a petite little dot in comparison to her sister who was huge😂
In comparison to her big sister she is such a mummys girl, and a co sleeper. Absolutely loves a cuddle and doesn't like to be put down 😂 high needs, but she's such a gentle little soul and her smile is amazing! She just stinks all the time of allergy milk and vomit 😂

Lovely to hear how you're doing @blackcurrantqueen that's crazy that little one is almost ready for weaning - I remember when she was born, doesn't feel like five mins ago!

Short update here: no news! Think I got overly excited by cramping & plug coming out after S&S the other day. Had another sweep yesterday and cervix is very soft apparently but not dilated as such. I'm still getting period pains and pressure on occasion but less constant now.

One week tomorrow until induction 😬 so we shall see. I'll do a proper catch up later or tomorrow. x

So if you really want to see them then do it, like @InkyPaper says it's difficult as you can't take stuff to make you feel better which is bloody miserable, but we get through it so if you are ok with that then do it

Well our night out was ok last night, I didn't enjoy it loads but that's cos it was a do where i didn't know ppl & the band was really mediocre, in fact pretty rubbish 😂but it was good to get out & my parents did great & the kids were good too so all good at home

They rang me at 10 to say there was a home north brewing and might not be able to see me, I explained I needed a fit to fly note. Agreed to come up early in the hope they can squeeze me and another lady in before they have to run and first lady only went in at 10.24!! So inefficient!!

I've still not paid for any yet. 🤣 She did say not to pay (machine was broken anyway) because it wasn't very exciting but I wonder if they even ever check? She was really nice actually, the lady. And I find most the maternity clothes really awful? Like crap patterns and everything? 🤷‍♀️

We went out last night. Not ideal since it was boiling. The restaurant had air con but it wasn't on high enough. But I was thankful for some, else I'm sure it would have been unbearable. I even had a little dance (had to be creative). 🤣 It does really piss me off though everyone commenting on what you look like/size. DH keeps saying I'm too self conscious and I'm like- is it any wonder? 🤷‍♀️ And if one more person asks me if we have a name yet, I might scream. I wouldn't tell them if we did anyway?

Scan yesterday made me laugh. The lady asked if we knew gender (oh and had a name 🙄) and I said yes. She confirmed she was a girl again. Then said all these scans I'm sure it would have been impossible not to know by now anyway. And I was thinking- i have never accidentally seen anything? I can barely make out what they are looking at half the time, so I really don't think I'd have been any the wiser! 🤣 She's still oblique though. And I had the sudden thought this morning that I had completely forgot about my heart shaped womb issue, and actually will it be that she can't physically move her bum to the middle? 🤔 Possible......

I was going to make strawberries and cream, but overwhipped the cream, strawberries are nice on their own anyway, on the plus side, I learnt to make butter!
