Also annoys me @paintfairy - I've had different people comment on the same day that it's big and it's small which is it?! I'm measuring 3cm bigger than I should apparently which makes me feel like a right heifer.

Does anyone else's bump hurt when they bend over, like to wipe something off the floor? And also am lying on my side now and feels like I'm stretching too much and that also hurts. Don't remember this from last time!

The verdict is in! We're having a girl!! All very exciting and our families are all very excited with the exception of two people - one just went "oh. Right." And the other said "well there's still a chance the scan could be wrong and it's a boy" 🙄🙄🙄 but everyone else was thrilled, which was lovely 🥰

@Minster2012 omg, I’m absolutely fuming for you. Who on Earth does that? I actually find it really strange when strangers interact with children like that at all, but especially when she was asleep! The nails are gorgeous though.

@Somatronic I think definitely let people look after you. I would definitely be like you and want to go, but I’m realising that I need to slow down a little and enjoy being pregnant and looked after. It’s one of the perks to make up for so the rubbish bits!

@paintfairy I hope that you feel better, honestly a combination of the heat, stress and pointless appointments definitely deserve a rant! How exciting that you’re doing baby washing.

@InkyPaper wahooooo! Congratulations on a girl 💕 Ignore anyone that isn’t excited for you! There are very few maternity clothes that I’m happy with- I have a good pair of jeans and work trousers, but apart from that, I’m trying to survive in floaty summer dresses.

Thank you for the advice. We (well, me mainly) had a lovely time shopping for prams. We definitely are going for the Mamas and Papas Occaro. We love the big wheels for dog walking. I’m already stalking Facebook marketplace for second hand ones. DH was happy that we had food out after, so everyone was happy! We are also getting a new front door next week built into the alcove so we’ll have a little porch. Very excited!

@kaylsd boob sweat is real. I had a load today. Like a lake when raking the leaves from trimming the hedge.

@paintfairy we've been out again today! Ppl keep commenting I look good so I need to take that I guess but also they keep saying "ooo you are doing well being out at this stage" really??? At 7 weeks? I'd go stir crazy not doing anything for months but one of my friends didn't leave the house for 6 months. 6 months!! It is sooo annoying when ppl ask you about a name but lots of ppl we found don't actually want to know the name it's just conversation. I can't believe you get pictures at each scan! We got none after 12 weeks. No pictures at all despite a million scans. I have more from X's scans but I think they felt sorry for us as I wasn't carrying him.

@BellatrixK yesss for making a decision on the pram! One thing done just to find one now 🙌🏻everyone I speak to says the lady was unreasonable moving the pram hood so that's good, I'm not in the minority that thinks it's a dick move

So X won his boat race today, and during that time I had a LOVELY nap 😴 as I was knackered after hedge trimming (& getting to bed at midnight & getting up at 6.30 with X & being up during the night of course). Whilst out this evening B weed on a bench cushion as it went off her changing mat thing in the pub whilst being changed (their fault as they had no changing facilities) then lasted precisely 10 mins in those clothes before pooing straight through those clothes so it was back onto said cushion for round 2 🤦🏼‍♀️luckily we know the owners oh the glamour 😂. The laundrette is well and truly back in action!

@BellatrixK that's true - I suppose because hardly anyone knows I sort of forget I'm pregnant. My brother in law has taken to guiding me across the road and my uncle leapt off a seat today to let me sit down at a family party when he saw me today so I guess that kind of thing will be in my future. I'm just waiting for my husband to get the memo - he's already annoying me by not being even slightly excited and not really acknowledging it much.

I went to a family party today and my uncle's wife asked my Dad if I was pregnant. DH is saying it's because we are married almost 2 years and I was drinking Heineken Zero but I'm mortified that I already look pregnant. I have put on weight and I'm still on those motherfucking progesterone pessaries which give me crazy bloat so it's stressing me out a bit now. The woman hardly spoke to me and forgot DH's name but she managed to notice that 🙄

@larrythelizard i think dh will kill me in my sleep if he must remain in limbo, also now that I have test in the house, I am sure I’ll feel the urge soon, had a sneaky beer today, so I really am dragging this as much as I can. I think I’ll test tomorrow cd 32 is a decent number to wait it out and I don’t think I’ll feel any differently in 2 or 3 weeks, I wish I could call bestie to tell her either news or my latest dose of devastation, also I have two bottles of home vineyard wine that I’ve been waiting to be well enough to drink, dh says I cannot save them a year but I said he’s not having it, it’s mine.

Right experienced ladies, share your wisdom! PTSD clearly heard about his nickname going and had other ideas. We were up from 12:30-3 last night 😭 he wouldn't settle himself back to sleep so I went in for a cuddle, no go, H went in, no go. Nappy fine. He tanked a whole bottle of milk and that still didn't do anything. Eventually gave in and took him to the spare room where he slept ON me until 6 🤪😭 fuck this shit! How do I fix it?!

Yayy to your last day at work @kaylsd it's kinda nice once you start mat leave before baby as when clothing options are limited you're not obligated to look your best every day just chill in your comfies!

Can you ask about the heart shaped womb? I can see why you'd think that could be restrictive

dinosaurs! We saw my cousins little boy yesterday and he is obsessed, he can name about 50+ different ones 🤯 we have an Ocarro, love it albeit sometimes too bulky for small shops but otherwise a big fan!

@Minster2012 she didn't leave the house for 6 months? Wtaf? I would have gone stir crazy. On day 6 I was still really sore but insisted I went with DH to do the nursery run in the car just for a change of scenery! Oh no not a leaker! DD was the same no matter what nappies we tried but it was only on car journeys that it provoked a bowel movement 😂 in the end I doubled her up for car journeys, a size bigger over the top to stop the daily leaks and washing off the car seat

@Somatronic sounds like you're being well looked after albeit DH needs to step up. Could it be the disbelief still after all this time?

Sounds similar to my night @Soph0105 maybe another sleep regression? They'll both regret it when they're older that they didn't get their sleep in now 😂 Last night from 2am Z would snooze for 5 mins then wake when he realised he wasn't on my chest, 10 mins to resettle then repeat until 6:30am 😴

DH in a mood this morning, we're all sleep deprived but he seems to be more annoyed because he couldn't sleep with the white noise on, what!? Isn't that the point of it. So my theory is that he clearly can't be as tired as me 😂

Yup 6 months @bez91. For her second at least she just got on with it but for the first was just ever slightly obsessive 😬we did various bouts of double bagging for X when he kept leaking, I think maybe I didn't pull it up enough cos I got distracted by her weeing on the pub cushion?? My DH pulling the "I'm so tired today", what he got in response I don't think he anticipated which was me bursting into tears. Whoops! Happy Father's Day 🤦🏼‍♀️

@larrythelizard @bez91 it's been just girls on DHs side and they're worried about the family name dying out, so when they said those things it sounds stupid but it felt like we'd let them down somehow? I felt really bad afterwards and can't stop thinking about it now, which is horrible as we've waited so long for this baby.

@larrythelizard & @paintfairy can I join in on this one of the irritating comments off comparing my bump to how there bump was and how I’m bigger for what they were at same stage in pregnancy and asking how much weight gain I’ve put on so far n every time they are like ooooo that’s a lot isn’t it to say your only 32 week, makes me want to belly bounce them all out of the way! I’m finding driving hard not particular the seat belts or anything it’s the getting in and out of my car 🫠

@bellatrixK it was lovely thank you! Just went for my eyelashes tinted and curled but in fairness I can’t see much difference however it was nice just to get abit of me time! Going to get my hair done Tuesday and get rid of the roots, happy days! I’m actually tempted to go like a redy/auburn vibe for the winter from my usual blonde attire 🙈 I tend to change my hair colour with the seasons! Sounds like everything’s coming all together for you sweetheart with your park shopping Facebook market place is amazing! We got our Nuna leaf off there 😍

@BellatrixK ooh fun that you got a pram chosen! We went for the size down from the Occaro (so the Strada) but purely because we live in London so figured the bigger wheels would be wasted on us. I managed to nab mine on FB marketplace and it's much less common than your model so I'm sure you'll find one in no time!

@larrythelizard my eyesight has gone to shit during pregnancy actually but like you said there's no point in having check ups now when it should hopefully go back to normal afterwards.

@Minster2012 100% agree I would have gone batshit at the woman in the salon - what actually happened once she woke B up though, did you tell her off?

@paintfairy I've always been able to see the bits in the scans but OH has hilariously had issues both times we'd seen them. First time, we came out of the scan and he was like whoa her vagina was huge - turns out he'd been looking at the big black hole that was actually the empty space between her open legs?! Second time the sonographer pointed out the three lines to OH and he went "and what are they?" Cue awkward pause before the sonographer said "..the labia" and OH died on the inside haha. I think you're on to something with the heart shaped womb btw - I swear babies tend to come out a bit earlier with those as well? Someone I know had all three of her babies at 36-37 weeks because of the shape of her womb and a colleague of mine had her two babies at 36 weeks each time because of the shape too. Weird that no one mentions it though?

@Somatronic I don't get why anyone would actively ask if you're pregnant - either you are so pregnant it's obvious or you tell them, it's not something that should be asked of your dad ffs.

Well ladies I think baby and I had a bit of a growth spurt last week lol. Bump got much bigger overnight it seems, I put on another 2lbs in just a week and I've been absolutely knackered and napping most days. Mon/Tues baby was super quiet so I ended up going in for monitoring but she was fine and ironically since then I've had loads of braxton hicks. Got my next MW appointment on Wednesday so I'm keen to hear about baby's position as I'm pretty sure she's either still breech or at the very least she's back to back as I've just to have any rib kicks and most of her kicks and punches are around my middle.

Started eating my daily dates this weekend! Started on one cup of raspberry leaf tea a day as well - shit's getting closer!

@Soph0105 I was just about to ask how old PTSD is as the 8 month regression is supposed to be one of the toughest!

Yes you need to be careful but locking yourself in is a bit extreme. 🤣 What is it with the lack of changing facilities everywhere? Yay for X and his boat race. The heart shaped womb is why i was under a consultant in the first place, as it can restrict growth. Although she was small from the beginning so the small thing is unlikely that (unless she drops off now). But it might be why she's where she is.....
@Somatronic maybe it was more because of what you were doing than how you look? No one noticed me because it was winter, so it was much easier! I didn't tell many people either so just carried on as normal really.

I'm starting to think I need to pack my hospital bag. 🤣

So- last night I got zero sleep. Had pains and baby pushing all over. I think because of her position I'm annoying her if i lay on either side? 🤷‍♀️ Clearly I can't lay on my back for a long time. So at 3am I gave up and slept propped up on the sofa. 😴 Shattered. Helpfully today my work laptop has died (was a new one too this year) and so now I have that to deal with. No idea when but I'll have to meet an engineer. But I can't work so that's OK. 🤣 Done more washing.
I had my work baby shower on Saturday. It was ok actually. Low key and not many people (6 of us). No weirdness. And they bought me a really nice gift that people (some who weren't there) had all chipped in for. Mix of clothes, blanket, comforter, child's farm bath things, baby care set. So that was nice. Turns out next week's is more of a shambles than even i could imagine. 🤣 Still no idea what to wear and i don't wear nice things as standard so if I don't know about it (officially) then it'll look weird if I dress up? But they've been told no presents?! 🤔🤣 So I'm not sure what the point of any of it is. I don't expect stuff but then surely you have a baby shower or you don't? I was happy with don't. But now I've got the hassle of it but nothing more. 🙄
