@Skylark1990 I hope you feel better today and had a fun day in the sun with your dd.

@MooBugz I managed to get an appointment! I went in, in person, the receptionist was abit 🙄about it but she booked me in for an appointment in 2 weeks time. I’ll be 9 weeks by then, which is when I went in for my last 2 pregnancies. Pheww.

Welcome @STom2 and @milaK I'm sorry to hear about your previous losses. Wishing you and all of us healthy pregnancies🧡

Yes, the nausea creeps up doesn’t it! My boobs have felt quite heavy the last few days too and I’ve had some pulling sensations very low down.

Rubes1234 · 22/06/2022 21:36

Hi @milaK and @STom2 congratulations on your BFPs and so sorry about your previous losses! 🌈 Welcome to the group it’s been a life saver for me and I’m sure the other ladies here will agree!

Ive had a day today!! I’ve been so up and down and frustrated and just generally a right crank!

Cried at an advert for tesco for no reason at all!
Getting anxious cause the boobs aren’t as sore, why do we do it eh! 😅

Im thinking of testing tommorow. The clear blue is calling me. Then I’m finally going to ring the EPU for a reassurance scan and to check my fibroid that’s hanging on to my womb. Dreading the scan because I know they’re going to be super cautious and not say much for a while until the measure the fibroid and check for placement etc. hopefully I build the courage up for ringing 🤫😩

MooBugz · 22/06/2022 21:43

Yay great news @OceanbreezeSun with getting the appointment 🥳 I think mine works out to be when I'm 9 weeks too. Then might pay for a scan that week too. Last time I had my booking appointment on the Monday and started bleeding on the Thursday same week only for mc to be confirmed and it passed on Friday so my nerves are all over the place thinking about that week! Trying to be positive though but finding my headspace is getting flashbacks to that time.

We're all here for each other though so it's ok to feel like this knowing not alone in so.

@Rubes1234 oh that's a lot going on in your head too 😩 why are we such overthinkers! One step at a time though right

Well done on getting the appointments booked in both. That's a big step forwards.

seven201 · 22/06/2022 22:14

@Rubes1234 sorry about the fibroid. Is it a concern having one?

STom2 · 23/06/2022 07:54

I've still not thought about referring to the midwife. Serious head in the sand territory here! Anyone else with nausea and a toddler to look after during the day? Confused

RedElleJ · 23/06/2022 08:58

Morning all ☺️

Welcome @STom2 - I am sorry to hear of your previous losses. Sending lots of positivity your way for a successful pregnancy 💕

I have made a total u-turn and booked an early scan for when I am 9 weeks, I have just hit 5 today. I can cancel it within 48 hours of the appointment though so if I change my mind it’s not a big deal.

It sounds horrible but I’d rather know if something had gone wrong in that situation rather than at the hospital again. I remember being in tears and being ushered out the room and down corridors where everyone was just staring at me…it was awful!

But, hopefully all will be well 🤞🏻 Still haven’t heard from the doctors in regards to my early scan with them so think I might get in touch again to see what is going on.

Hope you all have a fab day today x

BEL88 · 23/06/2022 10:51

I'm 4 weeks today...if I get to tomorrow with no bleeding then it's my best this year 🤞

I'm saying 4 weeks but this is worked out from ovulation and not last period (as I did opks)...will they ignore this for booking in? I can't remember what they did for my first born

Rubes1234 · 23/06/2022 13:25

@seven201 hey!

Erm it is and it isn’t. I’m quite lucky that mine it attached to the outside of my womb on a stalk. It’s called a perdunculated fibroid. 😂

It is basically harder for them to scan me now as on first sight everyone who looked at it thought it was an ectopic and I was nearly going down to have it removed but my HCG wasn’t high enough for that to be true after my surgical management of the miscarriage. I will have the same lady scanning me now who found it and she will be the only person allowed too apparently to cause less stress as she knows exactly what it looks like. So 🤷🏻‍♀️. I kind of think they ballsed up a bit with me and it should of been found before I went down for my op not weeks after. They found a slight glimpse of it on my 6 week scan when they checked but it was all very hush hush. Everything after and the care I’ve had has been ridiculously amazing.

They didn’t know it was there until I had had everything done and had a huge bleed a few weeks later so it’s not stopped me getting pregnant again which is a relief but they want to keep an eye on it as they haven’t got much to base growth on from my last pregnancy or how long it’s been there for. Had MRIs and multiple ultrasounds on it to work out what it was but they’re quite settled on the fact it’s harmless now. I think it can be harder to conceive if they are in the womb or tubes for implantation but I think there is still a really good treatment option and conception rate which is good.

my hours of googling and self diagnosing taught me allllll about wombs 😂

I still haven’t had the balls to do this test or ring yet! I know how you feel @STom2

seven201 · 23/06/2022 13:31

@Rubes1234 oh that is interesting. About a year ago I had a fibroid on a stalk found too when doing an ivf round. They've not really mentioned it since and I've had surgery on my uterus and a cyst removed since then. I've kind of assumed it's gone, but maybe it's floating around in there too. Do they just go? Maybe I should do some research on them too! It's good you can have the same sonographer each time to keep an eye on it.

Skylark1990 · 23/06/2022 13:46

Hey everyone! So nice to see some newbies welcome @STom2 and @milaK ! Thanks everyone for the kind words too re covid etc, it has really helped ease my worries. @RedElleJ completely get you with the random Crying I am so much more emotional ATM.

Weirdly the last couple days I've felt quite wired and energised, I dont really know why - maybe it's because I simply have to do loads more ATM due to DP being sick. Also odd because DD is in with me at night again ATM and she wakes me up a bit with her tossing and turning! Obviously my brain wonders if maybe it's a bad sign but hopefully not 🤦‍♀️🙈 got very sore boobs still and as I said pretty emotional, and actually suddenly just had a wave of tiredness haha. No real nausea yet aside from a couple of fleeting feelings but I'm only 5+3 so I expect it to hit next week. I took quite detailed notes of my symptoms with my DD and I first spewed at 7 weeks with her! So a couple weeks to go perhaps.

I'm actually really pleased I have the early scan being booked in the pipe line. I'm feeling relatively positive ATM. Think I'll do the Digi tomorrow. @RedElleJ sounds like such a horrible experience finding out about the baby loss at hospital and being in tears 💔💔 you poor thing. Can fully understand your fears and worry about having another scan. Hope you are feeling ok today!

@Rubes1234 @RedElleJ think you're both going to do a Digi too right? Shall we all do them tomorrow? I'll be 5+4 then... I was also reading now they're notoriously unreliabile so we should definitely try not to worry if we don't get 3+!

@Rubes1234 @seven201 sorry to hear about the fibroids. Have you heard of dim? It's a natural supplement taken from cruciferous vegetables, and it can shrink and remove things like fibroids! I have taken it on and off for years it really helped with hormonal acne for me, and think it also helps with egg quality & general hormone balance. Prob not one to take during pregnancy but you could look into it after perhaps. You take it with another supplement called calcium d-glucarate x

Skylark1990 · 23/06/2022 13:48

I don't yet have covid so just really hoping it's going to pass me by this time!!
So grateful for this little group, you're all a lovely bunch. So nice to have people to chat to and who understand the anxiety after previous loss. ❤️

Skylark1990 · 23/06/2022 13:49

@STom2 I'm sure I'll be with you with the nausea and toddler fun soon... I was very sick with my DD, so imagine it'll happen this time too... How old is your toddler ? Doesn't sound fun must say!

Skylark1990 · 23/06/2022 13:51

@OceanbreezeSun thank you! We had a really full on day in the end, went to soft play then the mall and walked around for hours 😂🤦‍♀️ she got overtired and wouldn't sleep and rejected all the food I bought her, finally fell asleep after some oat milk and boiled egg, but it was a late nap so was worried about bedtime being late - wasnt too bad in the end though! Wanted to go to the river with her as it was such a lovely day but didn't make it. Was so tired after the mall! Hope we get some more sunny days soon. Well done for getting an appointment. I still need to self refer to the midwives.

MooBugz · 23/06/2022 14:14

Oh @RedElleJ what an awful way to find out my heart goes out to you and that's what im secretly afraid of so I've made my mind up defo going to get a scan booked before info on holiday on week of 11th July where I'll be 9 weeks.

How's everyone doing today? Currently feeling good about life like the ride has shifted at long last after a horrid start to the year. This is our time ladies 🥰 🌟

OP posts:
Skylark1990 · 23/06/2022 14:23

Yay ❤️ @moo @MooBugz I hope you are right ❤️ also feeling positive today. Did you say you are going on holiday around 9 weeks too? Where to? X

Just self referred to the midwives. Hoping I don't Jinx things! 🙈🙈 I hope to have a home birth this time, I planned one last time but ended up needing to transfer to hospital, which was ok but would love to see it through this time if poss. Plus I had the most wonderful midwife so I've requested her again 😂 gonna text her as well!

MooBugz · 23/06/2022 14:28

@Skylark1990 we are going to Antalya for a week, it's our second holiday as a family as my eldest has special needs so always feels too scary taking him abroad especially since he had a seizure when we got there last time but we finally decided to stop being scared and just go for it esp after the crappy year.

Home birth sounds lovely I'm just too scared to do it because I'm the worst overthinker! Sounds like you have a great midwife and that makes a world of difference having good support so best of luck securing her again 🤗

milaK · 23/06/2022 14:33

Thank you @seven201 😊I'm very apprehensive too about feeling excited as if this is some sort of protection - that's just bollocks though! I felt anxious for a large chunk of my last pregnancy and it didn't soften the blow in any way when it came. Might as well enjoy it this time and whatever will be will be.. So feeling hopeful😃

milaK · 23/06/2022 14:38

@MooBugz Yep not complaining either, bring it on😁Embracing the morning and post-lunch nausea at the moment - gets better by the evening and I start checking the fridge more often then.. 😶Big positive here is a complete aversion to most sweet things, which is so not like me - a lifelong fight I keep losing and all of a sudden, I've won without making an effort 😅

milaK · 23/06/2022 14:46

Thank you @Rubes1234 , I hope it all goes well for you with the testing and appt booking 😊

@Skylark1990 oh exciting times with the self-referral! Makes it all just one bit more real doesn't it? I'm gathering my courage for this atm 😅

RedElleJ · 23/06/2022 15:55

@BEL88 That's great news - hopefully the weeks will keep ticking by nicely for you.

Goodness me @Rubes1234 talk about a journey! I am glad they are taking really good care of you now though :) Hopefully, it's not going to cause any further issues for you anytime soon too.

@Skylark1990 I wish I was as on it as you with tracking symptoms. I really haven't had much in the way of symptoms...which stresses me out! I am going to take the clear blue digi Friday, Sat or Sun. I am not too sure yet. Think I will see how FMU is tomorrow and decide then.

@milaK very wise words about enjoying it in the moment rather than being anxious. I was definitely anxious last time and it was still awful when I found out.

I have been thinking about CBT or something to help with anxiety/worry. I have't been diagnosed with anything but I thought it might be worth a try - has anyone ever tried or asked their doctor for anything like that before?

@MooBugz That's good that you have finalised your decision about the scan - seems like ages away though, doesn't it?

I desperately want this little squish to stick so I am still very hopeful but I have been finding it really difficult to turn off, 'preparing for the worst' mode.

MooBugz · 23/06/2022 16:37

Haha @milaK I'm the same been trying to curb the sweet tooth for weeks and now don't even feel like it at all suddenly

CNizzle · 23/06/2022 17:23

Hi,
Mind if I join you? I'm currently 7+3 with my second pregnancy.
1st ended in mmc last July discovered at an 8 week private scan. I was very traumatised,
It had been a spontaneous pregnancy after 4+ years of trying, unexplained infertility diagnosis, but BMI too high for nhs ivf, and just too old due to lockdown closures. We had just about decoded to go private when I discovered I was pregnant.
This time round, our 1st ivf cycle - 2 eggs retrieved (one ovary inaccessible) and one made it to early blast... unbelievably it stuck!
I'm in total disbelief, terrified, but have no discernable symptoms to suggest I'm pregnant really, a bit of tiredness, the odd boob twinge. Not that I'm wishing to feel terrible, just a hint it's still there!
Got my early scan (8 weeks) on Monday & time has stood still this week. The waiting is agony. I don't think I could deal with another loss.
Sorry for the ridiculous long post.

MooBugz · 23/06/2022 19:55

Hi @CNizzle congrats and welcome! Don't worry about the long post that's what we're here for to share our stories and help each other out. Sounds like a very emotional journey to get here to say the least but I hope this one sticks for you. Good luck with your scan on Monday 😊

I remember being at the hospital before sitting with a lady who was just about to adopt after being diagnosed with unexplained infertility and the docs had pretty much told her no hope. She had gone through several rounds of expensive ivf after the nhs one failed. She told us the day before her and her husband went to sign the adoption process papers she found out she was pregnant naturally. It gives me goosebumps even now but shows there's always hope .
