Morning all :)

Congrats on the 3+ @Ally256 - That's incredible!

I had a rough old day yesterday - fatigue and generally just feeling unwell. Don't know if it's pregnancy related or just because I may be fighting something off but we shall see. Everyone seems to be catching COVID again at the moment so I really hope it isn't that. Thinking I should get a booster.

Hi @OceanbreezeSun - I am really sorry to hear about your MMC. I hope all is well this time round for you...and us all :)

Hope you all have a fab day x

Skylark1990 · 21/06/2022 08:18

Hey all! Congrats on your 3+ @Ally256 ! So nice to see ☺️

@Rubes1234 it wasn't too hot here yesterday/ I was in an air conditioned office mostly so didn't feel it too badly but I've definitely had a few hot flushes, often accompanied by a wave of nausea! Last time I went through the first trimester it was winter so I wonder what the sun and heat will add to it...

@RedElleJ sorry to hear you had a tough day - my DP has a horrible cold and really hoping it's not covid and that I don't catch it, whatever it is! Hope you feel better today.

I did my last frer today - I don't really know why other than I had it sitting there! Anyway it's come back a definitely dye stealer at 22dpo but I am not sure if it's darker or much darker than the one I did at 18dpo. I guess as they're so sensitive maybe they balance out and stop getting darker / control lighter at a certain point?

What do we think, does this look good and darker than my previous one a few days ago? Or should I just not worry either way? What did yours look like around 5 weeks @MooBugz , that's when you did your last one isn't it?

I'll attach both... One on the wood is a few days ago and one today is on white. I know I'm probably just being neurotic but if anyone can understand it's you guys!

5+1 today, will probably do a Digi in a couple days to see if I get 3+ but like @Rubes1234 am a bit nervous!

Been having very sore boobs and still constipated 😂 but other than that not super strong symptoms - although Def more emotional. Long message from me this morning 🤣

@MooBugz
Arghh couldn’t get through again this morning! it tells you to use the online booker, but it’s been down the last week, probably why the phone lines are jammed. We only get a window of half an hour in the morning to phone for an appointment - it’s abit of a odd system. I’m going to go in in person, as running out of time now, we move house in less then 3 weeks. Have you booked your appointment yet?

@RedElleJ Thank you❤️
I wish the same for all of us on here too ⭐️ xx

RedElleJ · 21/06/2022 10:24

Hi All,

I took another IC today and it was a bit lighter than the one I took on Sunday.

A bit of context, we were out for our anniversary on Saturday so we ate out twice that day and I remember my FMU on the Sunday being super dark...like, 'girl, you really need to drink some water.'

So I am thinking maybe my FMU on Sunday was super concentrated from eating out as I imagine by salt intake was massively up the day previously. Which is why my test on Sunday was a bit darker than todays - what do you guys think?

Trying not to stress too much but I will defo be testing regularly again just to make sure they all stay at the same sort of level x

RedElleJ · 21/06/2022 10:28

These are the tests

Skylark1990 · 21/06/2022 10:59

So my DP has covid :( :( I am gutted and now very worried about catching it and it affecting the pregnancy! Just when I felt like things were feeling more secure. Argh. I don't know what level to try to distance etc either as we weren't distancing at all last night or this morning so maybe I've already caught it 😖

Skylark1990 · 21/06/2022 11:00

@RedElleJ Once a certain level of HCG is in the system the tests will often get lighter - it's known as the hook effect and basically happens because there is so much hcg the test can't pick it up properly. But I am with you because my FRER wasn't much different from the one I did 4 days ago so also hoping all is well!
To me, both your tests look the same darkness x

Skylark1990 · 21/06/2022 11:21

Another one from me 😅Just spoke to the doctor and he said he will refer me for an early scan between 7-9 weeks due to the previous losses. So that is nice! I'm still a little uncertain whether to get one but it's nice it'll be in the pipeline and I guess I can always cancel if I decide I don't want it. Tbh I probably will have it - I am nervous as I've heard of people getting early scans then the pregnancy ending shortly after so I always wonder if possibly they're a bit risky but all of the mainstream evidence seems to suggest theyre completely fine. 🤔Honestly, never ending worry. Just hope this covid doesn't get me!

MooBugz · 21/06/2022 14:18

@OceanbreezeSun that's a lot of pregnant ladies clogging up them phone lines! I hope you get it soon if I was you I'd also go in person so you know it's done.

My booking app is 13 July and first scan on 3 August I booked mine ages ago so already feels like it's been ages waiting lol

@Skylark1990 Oh no not covid damn it and hope you'll be fine and chances are you will be. I just have mega fear of covid because of my mmc was just after I had it but most women are ok with it and if your getting an early reassurance scan that will help out you at ease. I think regardless we were always going to be nervous these first few months and I think your doing great. Don't let the anxiety win because at the end of the day you are pregnant today and your allowed to be happy about that. Take it a day at a time because no amount of worry is going to change what happens from here onwards and we just have to think positive and try our best to enjoy the ride. Sending you lots of hugs

Oh wow ladies these tests are all so reassuring!!

Im so happy for you all!

@Skylark1990 fingers crossed you don’t but if you do like we were saying the other day these little ones can stick around through the worst of times. I’m sure your feeling anxious and stressed about it being in the house but try and keep yourself calm and count the little wins in your day. Sending lots of get well soon vibes to your DP. The scan sounds so reassuring as well! Glad they are giving you the option.

@RedElleJ those tests look fab! I would deffo say the hook effect or a little bit of diluted wee as well. I had this the first time around after I had a small bleed and sent myself loopy testing every couple of hours 🤫 I’m stressed with the digital concept but it’s nice to get that reassurance. I should be 6weeks tommorow so thinking I may pick one up and hope for the best. We can be test buds if you’d like 😂

congratulations @Ally256 !!! 🎉

MooBugz · 21/06/2022 16:07

@RedElleJ sorry totally missed your chat there! Could the test just look darker the day before because it had dried by time you went to compare it? Anyway both tests look great tbh I wouldn't be worried at all!

And congrats on your anniversary, we had our 10yr anniversary on Friday. Was planning on marking the occasional with something wild like a bungee jump but have postponed that for obvious reasons 🤣

milaK · 21/06/2022 21:20

Hi ladies, may I join in? I'm 4+2 today, tested earlier and got BFP. Had 2 miscarriages last year, at 5 and 9 weeks, and finding this nerve-wracking. I don't feel I am ready to talk to family and friends just yet. But not feeling alone in this is so helpful. Flowers

RedElleJ · 21/06/2022 21:32

Hi Ladies,

Thanks for the reassurance - it's been a tough day...trying really hard to be positive but I think it is probably better for me to stay busy and distracted. I have had positive days/moments but that nagging feeling just won't go away. And I know I should be happy I can even get pregnant but it just isn't a guarantee. Anyway, art of distraction and I think if I am being completely honest preparation for it to happen again.

On the testing side of things - hopefully it is just diluted a bit more than Sunday or the hook effect. It could be due to drying too @MooBugz but I remember being so happy because it go so dark so quick. Bungee jumping haha! Yeah - defo best to avoid that. Congrats on 10 years x

I'm due to take my final digital from Friday @Rubes1234 and I think @Skylark1990 is around the same too. I think I might hold off until Sunday though just to give it enough time haha! I think if it says 3+ that will really with the anxiety I have had this week...can't believe it is only Tuesday!

Awww @Skylark1990 - try not to worry too much. It seems to actually be an issue in your 3rd trimester rather than your 1st, so you are best to have it now than later. I do a lot of research for work and uni around COVID and I came across a review that found there was no significant association with COVID and poor pregnancy outcomes. I hope you don't catch it though and that hubby is okay. I would say if you do catch it though monitor your temperature - if it spikes get in touch with the GP. They will likely say control it with paracetamol but it is always best to check :)
Good to hear about the early scan too - I know someone who had a scan every week in the first trimester with no adverse outcomes so I reckon they are safe x

RedElleJ · 21/06/2022 21:59

Hi @milaK congratulations on your positive! Completely understand you being so nervous at this time - I am really sorry to hear about your losses.

We are all hoping this is the one for us so fingers crossed we all make it to the finish line together x

MooBugz · 21/06/2022 22:23

Hi @milaK welcome to the group and safe space to talk openly about whatever you are feelin being pregnant again. Sorry to hear about your losses I hope this time is different for you and for us all 🥹

@RedElleJ will that be your last test or do you think you will keep testing. I haven't had positive tests for weeks after my mc so that's probably why I'm happy just doing the few tests and leaving at that it just brings back the trauma of testing every week and willing for a negative back then.

Defo agree to keep distracted is the best solution otherwise you end up overthinking and driving yourself crazy, well I do anyway. I'm trying to just keep it to the back of my mind until a few more weeks pass and I will most likely get an early scan booked around 8/9 weeks. I tell myself I won't but I know I won't be able to relax till I do even though I know it doesn't guarantee anything after.

Hope tomorrow is a better day for all of us it sounds like we're all going through ups and downs in our emotions. Strong ladies though be proud of yourselves you're doing great especially those of us that haven't told anyone in the real world

RedElleJ · 22/06/2022 07:26

Morning all :) Hope we have a lovely day ahead of us and that we can find some positive moments in the day x

@MooBugz Totally understand where you are at with testing. I actually didn't take one today. My water intake has been up as I am trying to be good but I have noticed my FMU is much lighter as a result. So...I think I am done with the easy@homes now...gonna hide them somewhere out of site. The clear blue will definitely be my last one and if it only says 2-3 then, even though I said I wouldn't, I will go for an early scan. If it says 3+ then I will ride it out until the 12 week mark.

MooBugz · 22/06/2022 07:42

Sorry I meant to say I had* positive tests for week after the mc not haven't! Took forever for the hcg to be low enough to give me negative then and it really affected me so when I got my positive I did have a weird feeling about it even though I knew it was different circumstances.

@RedElleJ all the best I hope you get the 3+ that you are looking for 😊

Skylark1990 · 22/06/2022 08:23

Hey everyone, first just to say you are all so lovely! Thank you so so much for your kind words @MooBugz @RedElleJ and @Rubes1234 ❤️❤️❤️ and everyone else for being here. It really helped me yesterday deal with all the stress of covid plus this silly worry about the tests etc. You are all right, and I think I'm ready to stop worrying today 😂 well hopefully, I'll try! It's a gorgeous day here today, so sunny and have the day off with DD. Our usual friends that we see are busy today so need to figure something out but plan to have a fun day out.

@MooBugz that must have been really hard to keep seeing those Positive tests after the miscarriage ❤️ and @RedElleJ your plan sounds good of not continuing to test, I'm not going to either - we both have super strong lines and should feel confident - like you I'll do one more Digi.

Thanks again guys so glad we have this group. We could also maybe consider a WhatsApp or Facebook one at some stage if people keen. WhatsApp may be ok for this group as it's a bit smaller than the usual due date ones! Huge WhatsApp groups can get unwieldy can't they 😂

milaK · 22/06/2022 10:15

Thank you @RedElleJ and @MooBugz - and all the luck in the world to us all 😍

@Skylark1990 Can't agree more with being ready to stop worrying for the day😅I keep reminding myself that I've got to stay healthy and positive for the baby and all the loved ones, and deal with whatever happens when it happens and not before!

Only 4+3 and nausea kicked in big time, not had that before. Hope it's a good sign 😅

madeinthe80z · 22/06/2022 11:51

Urgh. I feel sick as anything today.

Half of me was like yey, morning sickness...but then I get an email from nursery saying a few kids have been vomiting in the night. My daughter is okay so there's no way I'd be sick before her right?!

MooBugz · 22/06/2022 14:03

@Skylark1990 it really was and I did a LOT of tests so it's just not as fun doing the test anymore and tbh I'm anxious even thinking about the scan but that's why I'll wean myself in by going for an early too 🤞🏼

Happy for a WhatsApp group too, probably once the 'safe' time has passed and I've told people then the mystery is gone lol

@milaK nausea and food aversions have kicked in for me this week as well as that weird taste you get in your mouth all day. Happy to have it all though not complaining!

lol @madeinthe80z the joy of kids, they take the while sharing is caring to another level don't they haha

Hi ladies! Mind if I join this lovely group? When I was pregnant with my DS I joined another MN group for mums expecting after loss and it was an absolutely amazing support network. Little bit about me - My first pregnancy was a MMC (at 7 weeks and picked up on an 8 week private scan). Second pregnancy gave me my now 19 month old DS. I fell pregnant again in April this year but this resulted in a PUL and then miscarriage at the start f May at roughly 7 weeks . I'm currently 6+1 with this pregnancy and like you all keeping fingers and toes crossed for a sticky bean. Not 100% on my dates as I didn't have a period after my last MC, but I have a fairly good idea of when I ovulated so I'm going by that. I've caught up on all the messages in this thread, and like a few of you I have been pretty much symptom free until the last couple of days (other than occasional cramping and tiredness). The nausea seems to have set in the last few days. 🙈

seven201 · 22/06/2022 18:28

Welcome @STom2 and @milaK .

I too have got a clearblue week one I'm saving. On Friday it said 2-3 so I think I'm going to try and wait until the Sunday as I had a HCG blood test of 153 on Thursday afternoon, so it should have reached the next threshold by then (I did some dodgy maths to try and work it out). I'm feeling quite hopeful at the moment. Getting too excited. I rarely feel optimistic about infertility and early pregnancy stuff - this is not like me!
