Good luck @Gamergirl84 and @RedElleJ and @Franklin321 for your scans! Let us know how they go ❤️💞

@OceanbreezeSun thanks for checking in,I'm doing well, no symptoms really yet except occasional mild cramping. Boobs don't really hurt yet even when I feed DD. When did they start hurting for you? We are down to one feed now at bedtime and also one at nap time on my day off and weekends (unless we can time a car trip well 😅). I feel ok about it and she still loves milkies. I've had a couple nights where I've been out so haven't fed her and gone right through to the following nap or bed time before doing so. She seems fine without but she's also quite attached to it esp if I'm around. I'm thinking with the progesterone supplements I'm taking plus only minimal feeds it should be ok 🤞🤞 my milk has also massively dropped already probs due to minimal feeds. How are you doing?

Just looking forward to my scan on 22nd. I'm nervous too. But feel it'll make it more real, as long as everything ok 💞🤞💞🤞💞💙💞

Skylark1990 · 10/08/2022 12:50

Congratulations on your scan too @STom2 , such good news.
I was in London on Fri and Saturday and omg the heat - was in Victoria park and if was completely parched and the tube was an oven. It's v hot where I live too as I'm still south but I'm glad I don't have to do the tune regularly 😅😅😅

Skylark1990 · 10/08/2022 12:54

@LittleLottle sorry to hear of your bleeding, I'm glad they scanned you and you saw little bean and bleeding now stopped! 🤞💞 Did they give you progesterone? How many previous losses have you had? It can help if bleeding in a subsequent pregnancy after a MC to take progesterone esp if you've had 2 or 3 losses, big study showed it improved outcomes.

I remember you and @Franklin321 saying that you didn't have many symptoms at all at the start .. when did they start for you if you have some now? I'm still finding it odd that my boobs don't hurt as they usually do when I'm pregnant, but thinking it could be because it was right after my previous MC so my body more used to the progesterone. Wondering when sick was etc will kick in too...

@STom2 did you also find symptoms slow to start this time? X

Franklin321 · 10/08/2022 12:59

@Skylark1990 had my scan this morn, all good, measuring a day or 2 ahead so almost at 9 weeks now 😍

my symptoms didn’t really start till 6 weeks and then I started being sick in the mornings and nausea on and off rest of the day which is still going now - with my son it calmed down by 11 weeks so hoping this one will be the same too 🤢

how far along are you now?

Due Feb/Mar after MC 🌈 🙈
STom2 · 10/08/2022 13:01

@Skylark1990 With my DS I took a pregnancy test as my boobs were sore from the offset. This time around I didn't start to get sore boobs until I was at least 10 weeks. I actually thought it might be a symptom I just didn't get this time around but then they appeared.

Gamergirl84 · 10/08/2022 13:01

Hi all, thanks so much for your good luck vibes, baby is well and measuring slightly ahead at 12 + 4. Scan picture looks like I'm carrying a squid not a human.

Anyone else on progesterone and when did your midwife advise you to stop? I'm seeing mine until 16 weeks and I'm pretty sure I don't need to take it past 12 weeks.

Skylark1990 · 10/08/2022 13:05

@Franklin321 congratulations! Very happy for you 🤗 I am 5 weeks today so still so so early on 😩 just gotta take each day as it comes.

@STom2 ah thank you yes I remember you saying! That's reassuring 🥰🫶

@Gamergirl84 woohoo congratulations! Haha your comment about the squid made me lol. They're such funny creatures these little baby beans. I'm on progesterone till 16 weeks, that's what they did in the trial which showed it is beneficial so I believe that's what they advise now for a history of first trimester loss x

LittleLottle · 10/08/2022 13:21

@Franklin321 congrats! Great picture

@Gamergirl84 haha congrats on your little squid!

@Skylark1990 they did give me the option of progesterone pessaries, but said that because I've only had 1 loss before and that I'm already almost 9 weeks they didn't think it would make much difference as apparently this is when the placenta takes over. So I went with their advice and didn't get them but now I'm worried I should have! And I still don't really have any pregnancy symptoms, no sore boobs or anything but I dont remember having them in my last successful pregnancy either! I have some nausea on and off but to be honest I don't feel pregnant most of the time which is another worry!

MooBugz · 10/08/2022 13:44

Hey everyone hope your doing good!

Congrats @Gamergirl84 @Franklin321 on your scans today glad they both went well.

@RedElleJ thinking of you and hope you are having/have a good scan too.

Im a hot mess today really warm this week but loving it! My nausea is still very much present but calming down. Can't stand that awful taste in mouth I don't remember having it this long!

Waiting for the glow phase now haha

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the well wishes. Still going okay at this end. Measuring 11+6, which is bang on my dates and low risk from the screening. The scan took 45 minutes!! Baby did not want to cooperate - I had to jump, jiggle, half empty my bladder and then fully empty my bladder. I feel a bit battered and bruised from it all but happy all is well ☺️

They’ve said if I keep bleeding to call my midwife - but I’ve been told I can’t call them until 20 weeks. So I really don’t know what to do - just hoping it stops.

Great news @Gamergirl84 - I’ve been told to take my progesterone up to 16 weeks.

Lmcc88 · 11/08/2022 06:55

@Franklin321 @Gamergirl84 @RedElleJ so pleased that your scans went well!

I have mine this morning!

RedElleJ · 11/08/2022 08:34

Good luck @Lmcc88 sending all the positivity your way x

STom2 · 11/08/2022 09:39

Good luck today @lmc88!

Lmcc88 · 11/08/2022 12:59

Thanks guys! Baby has a strong heart beat but was cosied right in and upside down today! 😂 so couldn’t get a clear pic or an exact date so need to go back in a few weeks but will be nice to get to see baby again! Had to do star jumps and wiggle about etc but didn’t encourage baby to move at all!

MooBugz · 11/08/2022 17:05

Congrats @Lmcc88 on the positive scan haha baby hiding away there 😂 mine was hiding under my C-section scar when I went in! Managed to get some pics and measurements though! Glad all went well 🙌

@Skylark1990
Well done on the weaning, it sounds like it is going well and your dc is ok with i! It’s always best to do it slow and steady I think. It took me a good few weeks to drop the day feeds and just do nap and bedtime/through night - dd would quite happily sit on the sofa on my boob all day if she could, that was when she was about 25/26 months old🤣

My boobs started getting sore around week 6 I think - my nipples can still get quite sore now but it’s not agony. My boobs just feel very full and heavy. (I never got sore boobs at all with dd)

Congrats @Lmcc88 on the positive scan news! Happy for you❤️
I also had an awkward dc doing handstands and somersaults🤣

I’m 15 + 3 days & the weeks seems to be flying by now!
I’m still feeling nauseous which I thought would go by now - I’m sure it went earlier with dd. I’m learning that no pregnancy is the same though - my symptoms are so different with this dc!

RedElleJ · 12/08/2022 07:25

Congrats @Lmcc88 sounds like you have a stubborn little one already 😂

Lmcc88 · 12/08/2022 11:07

Thanks guys! Haha! I think I do! I would have loved to have had a peek an hour later I bet baby was in perfect position and camera ready 😂

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 12:13

Congratulations @Lmcc88 !!! Gosh 12 weeks feels like forever away to me 😂 how to make the time pass quickly ...?!

I've had a bit of a scare, had some right side pain yesterday and on and off for about a week so ended up being given an appointment at epau today just to check baby in right place. Thankfully all good! Yolk and gestational sac both seen in my uterus thank god. No embryo or hb visible yet but they said it's just too early as I'm only about 5+2, and they were happy to see what they saw. Going back in 2 weeks now to check for a hb etc! 🙏🫶 Do feel reassured... Just hope it all keeps ticking along! So stressful this pregnancy shindig isn't it

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 12:17

@OceanbreezeSun my DD is a boob monster too, always has been! But surprisingly adjusted quite well to dropping feeds / no longer doing it on demand, but like you I did do it very gradually... We night weaned over about 6 months haha all in all. I wonder if my nips will get more sore soon! I feel like I've hardly got any milk now anyway. But she still feeds for comfort at sleep times.

Glad to hear the time is flying now you're in second tri!

@LittleLottle just realised I didn't reply re progesterone. My advice would be to go with your gut on it. Like you said you're quite far along now. But I'm sure you could go back and get it if you decided you do want it.

@MooBugz how is your DC who has chicken pox? Hope all ok x

STom2 · 12/08/2022 12:21

@Skylark1990 I specifically remember having this kind of pain with DS when I was around the 5.5 week mark! I even went on MN at the time and posted about it as I was worried. At the time I was just reassured it was very common and normal. There were a lot of women who had similar one sided pain early in pregnancy. But still good that you got checked out as I'd be paranoid about ectopic too!!

RedElleJ · 12/08/2022 13:43

Really glad that everything is looking good from your scan @Skylark1990 I hope it’s been reassuring.

whilst we are on the topic of pain, has anyone experienced pain for a good few hours before?

Last night, I had some dull like cramps and sometimes sharp pain on my lower left hand side. It woke me up at 2am but it started at like 8pm, not like agonising but very aware of it and very uncomfortable. It was tender to touch at points too. I seem okay today and I’ve not bled (shocker for me).

My Googling has led me down the ligament pain route but most sources say that it is on the right hand side and quite fleeting. So I am a little unsure. I am a bit worried it’s from the scan the other day because she was very rough on the side that it was hurting. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

I have booked a private scan for Monday but just thought I would ask if anyone has any ideas. Hopefully, it was just trapped wind and I was relieved during my sleep 😂

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 14:30

Hey lovely @RedElleJ with my DD I did experience all sorts of weird and wonderful pains. As long as it's not prolonged severe pain, and it's not accompanied by bleeding, I think you'll be fine. Especially as you saw baby so recently, and you've been ok all this time despite some pretty scary stuff happening. You're very strong, and I can understand why pains would trigger you what with all the bleeding and pain you've been through. And when they're a bit rough with the Doppler it can add anxiety. I had some tenderness after DDs 12 week scan, I still remember feeling a bit worried. But she was fine. They're well protected in there, esp at that stage.

There will continue to be weird pains that come and go probably all through pregnancy so if I were you I'd try to have faith that it's ok, in the absence of severe pain and bleeding (which I know you have had so I fully get the worry that maybe it'll start again etc) I would try to relax, breathe through it, have faith. Your LO is clearly strong, as are you! I need to take my own advice and try to relax so I know how hard it is.

Scans only give reassurance for such a short window so maybe just check in with yourself and make sure they're helping you and not Increasing the anxiety... I only say this as I have a friend who had a second trimester loss 💔 and she said she had so, so many scans in her next pregnancy but she'd be right back to feeling anxious about an hour later so in the end the scans kind of fed the anxious cycle if you know what I mean?

Skylark1990 · 12/08/2022 14:33

@RedElleJ Also round ligament pain can definitely happen all over! Not just the right side x can understand it just have been scary tho, especially if quite sore. X

@STom2 thanks for the reassurance re pain on right side! I was a right mess worrying yesterday but so relieved it's in the right place now 🙏🙏🙏 the wonder of modern medicine....

RedElleJ · 12/08/2022 14:41

Thanks @Skylark1990 - that has helped a lot. Hopefully, all will still be fine on Monday.

In fairness, the main reason we have a scan booked is because we only got one picture from the 12 week scan at the hospital but it has an arrow right in the middle of it haha! My hubby hasn't told his family yet so we wanted to give them a nice picture. I get what you mean though about them fuelling anxiety. It just seems that every time something positive happens something nerve wracking kicks back in - so I don't think it is the scans, I think it is just with a previous MC and this being my first I am on edge with every little thing.

It's so hard to take your own advice isn't it? I really wish I could just relax but damn it's difficult.
