@madeinthe80z how exciting not long to wait for the scan at all then! Mine is the day after 😎

@nofaith welcome and sorry to hear about your loss how awful to have to go through it let alone after the 'safe' zone of 12 weeks.

Feel free to talk about whatever you feel it's very helpful to share your inner thoughts both good and bad with the ladies in this group they are a great source of support and there's something comforting about the familiarity of people knowing what loss like this feels like and the feelings of pregnancy after loss.

I've had a queasy day and the thought of making dinner makes my stomach turn so it's an easy pasta dinner for the kids tonight lucky them 🤣

Hi everyone, thank you for the good luck messages ❤️ I’m so happy to say the scan went well, a little heartbeat and lots of moving around! The little one was being naughty and making it hard for the ladies to scan, he/she kept flipping around and crossing their legs.
The relief was immediate - I know it’s not always a guarantee, but right now I’m going to live in the moment and allow myself to feel excited & relieved.

I was surprised to hear I’m actually measuring 13+ 5 wks 😁Nearly a week more then my date of 12+ 5!

The Sonographers were lovely and got straight to the point, they could see we were very nervous.

@nofaith
Welcome ❤️I’m sorry about your late mc, that’s so sad and just shit. I hope you find this group supportive, like many of us do.

MooBugz · 28/07/2022 17:48

Awww @OceanbreezeSun big huge congrats and cyber hugs to you! That's amazing news and check you out at 13 weeks too that's lovely to hear.

Genuinely so pleased for you and too right you take this as a win and take the days as they come because for now you have every reason to soak it in and be happy ❤️

@OceanbreezeSun such lovely news ❤️ Hopefully this is the start of many positive experiences for us all. I hope this calms your nerves for a while…we all deserve a break from carrying the anxiety around, even if it’s only for a little bit.

welcome @nofaith and I am so sorry for your loss. People are well meaning but I completely understand what you mean. I reckon people just don’t know what else to say as baby loss is so rarely spoken about. Hopefully, this time will end much happier for you but in the meantime we are all here for when you need to talk x

I handed my thesis in yesterday 🎉 Massive relief lifted but my bleeding started again too so it didn’t last long. Got a private scan on Monday again but keeping myself prepared for some bad news.

Hope everyone is well today - I am with you all on the fatigue…but I’m quite a sleepy person anyway 😂 My sore boobs are back today so hopefully that’s a good thing, don’t know if it’s cause I’m checking them like mad though!. Haven’t been nauseous in well over a week or so which is worrying. I don’t have it nearly as bad as some of you ladies and I’m sorry you feel so ill but I would love just a wave here or there for some reassurance.

STom2 · 29/07/2022 11:48

Congrats on the amazing scan news @OceanbreezeSun ! Can't believe you're practically 14 weeks already!!!

@redelleJ Well done on getting the thesis in! That must be such a relief in itself!! Relax over the weekend and enjoy not having it hanging over you! Good that you have a scan Monday too so they can just check the bleeding you're having.

I've got a private scan tomorrow morning and woke up feeling very nervous about it today. I should be 11 weeks today. I think I spiralled a little yesterday when I read about Kate Ferdinands MMC picked up at her 12 week scan this week.

JoKB · 29/07/2022 13:33

congrats @OceanbreezeSun, such great news! and @RedElleJ that’s great news about the thesis but not nice to have bleeding, I hope everything turns out well at the scan.

I had no nausea the last week after lifting some suitcases and after feeling so so sick for 2 weeks, I was so worried and went to the EPU this morning and measuring 10 weeks and all looks great, very active little thing that looked so much more like a baby than my scan at 8.5 weeks.
i was sick until 15/16 weeks with my son and I thought feeling so bad 2 weeks ago might mean a girl (I would love a little girl) - and now I’m not sick at all already I feel that means it’s definitely not a girl. I do just care than it’s healthy after trying for 2 years and 2 miscarriages, but have any of you had no sickness from 9-10 weeks and had a girl?

MooBugz · 29/07/2022 14:38

@RedElleJ congrats on finally getting the thesis submitted that must feel like a. Assign weight lifted! What will you do with all the time now 🤣 sorry to hear about the bleeding but hope like last time it'll pass and nothing serious.

@STom2 good luck with scan tomorrow it's always a scary thought beforehand isn't it I mean I've had two private scans all fine but still scared for my proper one next week. Literally overthink every biggie I even thought I had a uti today and started panicking but think it was in my head!

@JoKB I had nausea and some vomiting with my little lady but only for the first couple weeks. Saying that, I had nausea with all my kids so I'm not sure if I would go by the nausea as a gender guess as everyone is different. I could have swore when I had my son it was a girl as it was so different to my previous pregnancy but when he popped out a boy aswell I was shocked lol

All great with my scan. Huge relief! Very active baby in there leaping about. Measured a full week ahead too (despite being 3 days behind on early scan). So that makes me 12 weeks today. Going to wait until the NHS scan before telling people as that takes potential trisonomy risks into consideration. Never want to get too ahead of myself in pregnancy!

WonderWoop · 30/07/2022 17:05

Hi everyone hope you're all doing well. I had a private scan today at 10 weeks for NIPT. I've had bleeding since 8 weeks but everything was absolutely fine. So if you are bleeding at a similar stage, hope this provides some hope.

LittleLottle · 30/07/2022 19:07

Glad to hear of all the positive scans! I've still got almost a week to go for mine and feeling really anxious as I've still hardly got any symptoms. I was much sicker with my son so it's definitely adding to my anxiety.

Those of you who at scans at around 8weeks, were they abdominal or transvaginal? I've had internals at 7 weeks and externals at 9 weeks but never had one at 8 before!

JoKB · 30/07/2022 19:59

@LittleLottle external at 8 weeks :) I think then that if they can’t see clearly they’ll do internal.

JoKB · 30/07/2022 19:59

Congrats @WonderWoop - a big relief that everything is fine after having bleeding!

OceanbreezeSun · 30/07/2022 20:27

@STom2 ❤️Lovely news! Our LO measured nearly a full week ahead too!

@WonderWoop More good news, you must be very relieved!

@LittleLottle not one to wish time away but I hope the week goes quickly for you, I know how anxious it is to wait for a scan.

I was more nauseous with dd and even had to have a spit cup it was that bad, but most symptoms had gone by week 12. With this pregnancy, I’m nearly 14 weeks and the nausea has been milder, on and off but has lasted longer & my symptoms are overall different to dd ( and previous pregnancy that ended in a mmc)

It’s normal for symptoms to differ or be less than previous pregnancy. I know that won’t stop you feeling anxious though ❤️

Gamergirl84 · 31/07/2022 14:55

@LittleLottle I had an internal at 8 weeks- they tried outside first but couldn't see much.

Congratulations @WonderWoop and @STom2 on positive scans!

I have my booking appointment tomorrow and my 12 wk scan the week after. Feeling more real now.
Dies anyone know when we get our pregnancy exemption cards? Could do with a free pass on prescriptions right about now 😆

madeinthe80z · 31/07/2022 18:54

Hi @Gamergirl I had my booking apt on Thursday and the exemption got emailed to me straight after. It's digital now 🙂

Lmcc88 · 31/07/2022 21:41

Hi guys!

I’ll be 12 weeks on Tuesday my sickness went away for a few days but is now back. Ive been totally floored today not being sick but just feeling unwell I’ve barely left the couch! I also have a shooting pain just to the right of my belly button …

How is everyone else feeling?

Skylark1990 · 01/08/2022 10:01

Hey all, me again 😊 I checked with @MooBugz as the mother of this thread and she said I should come back and join again again ... Because I've just had bfp at 11dpo yesterday. Havent had a period in between now and the MC.😬

I've also got basically zero symptoms and was very shocked when the bfp came up - I'm hoping the lack of symptoms isn't a red flag. I'm taking the progesterone twice a day and just really hoping this one sticks! I'll be due in April if it all works out... I know it's not March but you are all so lovely so hoping you could let April be an honourary March maybe 😉...

I'll also try to find some Mumsnet buddies who are the same gestation haha also I might be jumping the gun. Who knows how this pregnancy will go. BUT it's reassuring to be able to chat to people who understand.

Big big congratulations to all the recent 12 week scans and best of luck for those coming up!

Hope you are all doing well x

Franklin321 · 01/08/2022 10:56

@Skylark1990

Congratulations! I also fell pregnant with this pregnancy straight after a miscarriage without a period in between so I get it! The worry is massive but I’m 7+1 now and so far all seems ok (having symptoms so hoping it’s growing as should be!)

I’ve got an early scan through the recurrent miscarriage clinic I’m under next week, so hopefully all will be well 🤞

My symptoms only really started about 5-6 weeks, so don’t worry too much if you don’t feel anything at the moment! There’s time 😊

LittleLottle · 01/08/2022 11:01

Thanks all, I thought it might be external, I'm wishing the week away. @OceanbreezeSun thank you for the reassurance, this is also very different to my pregnancy with my son.

@Skylark1990 congratulations. Im also pregnant straight after a MC and also have very few symptoms. Im 7+3 today so not too far ahead of you.

STom2 · 01/08/2022 11:35

Wow! Gentle congratulations on your BFP @Skylark1990. That is good news to hear!

As you recall I'm also pregnant immediately after a MC without having a period in between. And at a recent private scan they dated me a full week ahead, making me just over 12 weeks now, with what looked like a very active LO indeed! Great that you had a BFP at 11DPO. Looks like a good sign. And I didn't get any symptoms whatsoever until nearer to 6 weeks. Despite sore boobs being a sign to take a test with my DS, I had zero change in boobs this time until about 10 weeks. Just the nausea from earlier than I had it with DS. And worse. So symptoms definitely change with each pregnancy.

Skylark1990 · 01/08/2022 11:37

Thanks @Franklin321 and @LittleLottle that's nice you're not too far ahead of me :) are you due late March?

@Franklin321 thanks for the reassurance re symptoms, I'm a bit worried because the last 3 pregnancies this year which all ended in MC I had very sore boobs / nipples. This one NADA! Although maybe that's a good thing, or a good sign, seeing as they went on to be losses. Who knows. I'm going to try to take each day as it comes...

@LittleLottle it's so weird to be pregnant straight away after, we also hasn't really been trying but we were a bit careless then I decided to track after we had DTD just so knew when to test and so I could start the progesterone if it happened on the off chance. I'm glad I did!

Best of luck to you both for your scans coming up.

@OceanbreezeSun I have been thinking of you and wondering if you're still bf? I think I'm going to have to wean DD as it makes me so nervous after all the losses. I will try to get down to just the bed time feed I think now. Hope you're going well x

@STom2 best of luck for your scan this week (if I've read / remembered that correctly!) And to you @RedElleJ ! And also congrats on getting your thesis done ✅😊❤️

Skylark1990 · 01/08/2022 11:42

I think our messages crossed @STom2 ! Thank you. Still such early days and hard to believe. Just trying to be hopeful and positive but not get ahead of myself with either too much excitement or too much worry 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Thanks for that reassurance re symptoms and being pregnant straight after MC. I hope it goes the same way for me! It's so weird not having the sore boobs as this is my usual dead cert pregnancy symptom and usually happens early too! Maybe with the recent MC there is more progesterone hanging around anyway so our body is more used to it and doesn't respond in the same way 🤷‍♀️

Or maybe it's just that each pregnancy can be different like you say. Congrats on the wriggly, big babe!! That's wonderful news. 🥰🥰🥰

Franklin321 · 01/08/2022 11:48

@Skylark1990 due 19th March which is actually Mother’s Day next year 🥰

This is my 5th pregnancy but with 3 miscarriages…and I’ve felt differently with all of them!

Hoping for sticky ones for us both 🤞

Skylark1990 · 01/08/2022 11:56

This is also my 5th pregnancy. First one was DD, then 3 losses, now this one ... So hope number 5 is the charm for us both @Franklin321 what a lovely due date too 🥰 did you get prescribed progesterone for this one? X

Franklin321 · 01/08/2022 12:01

@Skylark1990 i hope number 5 is the one for us both too 🤞🤞🤞 when I think about the fact I’m on my 5th pregnancy but with only 1 child it seems crazy…when I have so many friends that just get pregnant and end up with a baby no issue!

No, I did ask when I found out but they go by the nice recommendations of only if there’s bleeding…they said even if I get a tiny amount of spotting they’d get me on it. So far so good though!
