Ah @LittleLottle that's really hard, I'm sorry you're feeling like that. I also had a similar experience at that point then they kicked right back in again. It's early enough that symptoms coming and going can be totally normal. Absolutely understand how worried you'll be anyway though x

LittleLottle · 19/07/2022 21:21

@Hagster thank you, do you remember when they came back? I've gone from being so nauseous I was going to contact the GP to nothing for 2 days now. Feeling pretty down about it but I think it'll be too early for a scan

Hagster · 20/07/2022 08:58

@LittleLottle I don't think they came back until about 6.5 weeks for me to be honest. And of course everyone is different but it's genuinely completely normal for symptoms to come and go early on. I also lost them for a couple of days later on again actually, but my god have they come back with a vengeance now. It's so so hard not to read into things when we've been through what we've all been through. I really hope that this is just the normal ups and downs for you, and we're here whatever happens.

How's everyone been doing the past couple of days? I've been so grumpy, really struggling with not being a total b to everyone. Note to self: Do not get fired just before potential maternity leave!

I think I've been more on edge as this week is my 'danger week', when things stopped growing last time but I had no idea until the 12 week scan. We've got a scan booked for next Tuesday (10+2) and I'm just holding on to getting there and see what's what.

Hope you're all ok xx

Gamergirl84 · 20/07/2022 09:15

Hi @Hagster this is my danger week too - I've also got a scan booked for Monday when I'll be around 9+5. I felt really good for a few days after the 7 week heartbeat acan but now I'm back to worrying.

The past few days have been incredibly hard. The heat has been unbelievable and my house turned into a sauna. Sleeping was almost impossible, DS room never droped below 28 and I just panicked the whole time. Horrid.

Symptoms wise I'm sti getting nausea on and off all day but mild and bloating in the evening.

Man, these first 12 weeks feel like a year!

JoKB · 20/07/2022 12:06

I’ve just had another early scan, 8w 4days and a heartbeat!! I was actually terrified as I had covid 2 weeks ago and I think after 2 miscarriages I just can’t help worry about the worst!!
I’m sooooo relieved but also straight to feeling I wish it was my 12 weeks scan, or that I was further along!!! Help!

Rubes1234 · 20/07/2022 12:57

Hey everyone!

Fully feel everyone’s anxiety with the danger week. Today’s the same day the heart stopped for us and I can’t think about anything else and trying to see if my boobs are sore or still feel sick.

We went for a private scan at 9+1 after the Little blood i had last week and everything was fine. Seen a heartbeat and was measuring 9 weeks exactly. I feel like I’m wishing the days away now until 12 weeks but trying to just push It all to the back of my mind.

Im also majorly confused regarding booking appointment and scan. I’ve had a letter through for a scan on 2nd aug but it’s not the same as the booking appointment letter I got last time?

Im wondering if this is from the previous gynae and epu I was under to check everything but still not recieved booking appointment. Has anyone had anything like this? Do they normally come separate?

Furbabymum15 · 20/07/2022 16:05

@RedElleJ @LittleLottle @Hagster @Lmcc88 @STom2 thankyou all for your wishes..... I'm hoping and praying for good news on Monday..... The rude comment about my age was made by a consultant in the recurrent miscarriage clinic who did the scan..... Bit disappointing xx

Furbabymum15 · 20/07/2022 16:44

@JoKB Congratulations on your fab scan..... May I ask when you had your 1st scan and what it showed..... I had a 6 wk scan on Monday and they couldn't see a hb so I'm back on Monday and I can't help think the worst x

JoKB · 20/07/2022 16:51

@Furbabymum15 i had one at 5 weeks, just sac seen and then went back at 6+3 (agonising wait as they said Friday or Monday and I waited for the Monday to give it some time) and there was just a tiny flicker of a heartbeat - there wouldn’t have been at 6 weeks even - so try not to worry too much (impossible I know, and I’m sitting here anxious as hell!), sometimes all it needs is a little more time - which seems to take forever but hopefully it’ll be the case xx

Furbabymum15 · 20/07/2022 17:56

@jokb aww thankyou for giving me hope and I'm so glad it's working out for you.... Such a worrying time esp after loss xx anxiety is through the roof xx

JoKB · 20/07/2022 20:21

@Furbabymum15 id say to try and stay busy but it’s not working for me - I just can’t seem to tune out of it for more than half an hour and the days are dragging, I’m so happy things are going well so far but I can’t help but think my mindframe isn’t healthy for the pregnancy- buuuut can’t seem to change it! Maybe we’ll just get used to feeling like this?

Hagster · 20/07/2022 21:45

Ah @Rubes1234 @Gamergirl84 solidarity with the danger week. There's a weird part of me that's glad it's here as it's been hanging over my head for weeks. Fingers crossed for us all.

@Furbabymum15 the wait is so hard. As much self care as you can, whatever that looks like for you. Hope the next scan is positive.

@JoKB congrats on the positive scan! Absolutely get what you mean about mindset not feeling healthy but we've just got to do what we've got to do! Like you say, we've got time and it's reasonable to feel like this right now.

Rubes1234 · 20/07/2022 22:25

Thanks @Hagster it’s a tough one but we will all get there. I’m happy it’s here too but it also makes my heart go a little bit mental. I’m just glad we are in England and not at home at the min with all the familiar surroundings from last time. Let’s get through these next few days and hopefully we will feel a lot more relaxed LOL we’re not going to though are we!

@JoKB I understand too about the unhealthy mental state. Some days I’m obsessed and some days I worry that I’m totally detached about what’s happening. I think we are all just trying to protect ourselves from having our hearts ripped out again but I try to settle myself now with. It doesn’t matter how much I stress or how much I want this little bean. It’s not in our hands. If something happened now of course I would be devastated even if I’m symptom spotting or looking for signs or googling what’s going on. It’s never ending torture to the mind. Like your doing one step at a time, an hour at a time. Each bit of time that passes your closer to your little one!

@Furbabymum15 Fingers crossed for Monday! It’s really common to not see one at this point. They tell you not to worry but it’s never not going to happen. Wishing you all the luck only a few days now to wait. Try and keep yourself busy over the weekend or even treat yourself to a little self care afternoon if you can.

xx

BEL88 · 21/07/2022 11:32

Good luck to all those going through danger week this week. Hope you get some release from the anxiety of it all soon

I've booked a scan for tomorrow when I will be 8+1. Does anyone know if it will be more likely to be an internal or external one?

Hagster · 21/07/2022 13:46

Ah ladies I've just had a bit of blood and it's sent me spiralling. I'm still feeling all the symptoms but I just can't help but worry. Will just have to see how it is over the next day or so. Bloody hell it's a rollercoaster.

Lmcc88 · 21/07/2022 14:31

@BEL88 i had one at just about 8 weeks and it was external

my previous one at 6 weeks was an internal one

Lilipa · 22/07/2022 13:18

Hi everyone!

I went for my first scan today! Based on LMP I should be 8 weeks and I was measuring 7w+6d, so great! Saw the little heartbeat too which was beating at 160bpm. I was so relieved after 4 miscarriages in a row. We've never reached this long so I feel quite positive now but still cautious of course.
The sonographer was lovely too! She remembered me from 1.5 years ago because she had broken the news to me then. That's unbelievable given how many patients she sees everyday! I told her I'm nervous and she replied "me too". Usually at NHS they want to see everything and measure before they start talking to you. She was so kind that literally 2 seconds after she started she said "your baby is well, look at its heart beating" and she immediately turned the screen for us to watch. She was the kindest and that made the good news even more special.

I wanted to say also that I've had symptoms going on and off. So this is a reassurance to everyone who has the same that this is absolutely normal and doesn't mean your baby is not growing.

NHS booked for another scan for me at 10 weeks so I can't wait to see our little baby again in two weeks!!

I hope you're doing all well. Thinking of the ones that have had bad news in this thread. I've been there too many times and I know how painful it is ❤️

Lmcc88 · 22/07/2022 14:01

@Hagster sorry to read this … how are things with you today?

Gamergirl84 · 22/07/2022 17:30

@Lilipa that's really good news! I got booked in for a 10 week scan with the NHS too- it's nice to see some counties do this but hard for others who's local trusts won't until 12 weeks.

I'm feeling very nauseated today, nothing I eat seems to help only sleeping but probably won't get to bed till about 9 tonight and I'm flagging 😑

10 wk scan on Monday, the nerves have set in.

JoKB · 22/07/2022 18:22

That’s great news about the scan!

I’ve been really sick the last few days too, nausea not vomiting but fairly bad. However yesterday I lifted a few suitcases of clothes and today I feel totally fine apart from some tiredness and it’s really worrying me. I know everyone is different but has anyone else had a day off nausea around 9 weeks? I did around 5/6 weeks too but it came back and I think that’s common, I didn’t think it was a bit further in?!

i know I should be enjoying the relief from it but the sicker I am the more I feel that things are going well!

Lmcc88 · 22/07/2022 18:46

Hi guys hope you’re all ok!

Just back home from a scan, baby was waving and we got to see a strong heartbeat

Due Feb/Mar after MC 🌈 🙈
OceanbreezeSun · 22/07/2022 18:55

@Lilipa That’s lovely news about the scan❤️You must feel some sense of relief & it’s comforting that the sonographer remembered you.

@Hagster I hope everything is ok

@JoKB It’s very common for symptoms to come and go, I know it’s hard not to feel anxious about it though.
My nausea started to feel better about 2 weeks ago but a week later it came back, even worse in the evening (I’m 12 wks tomorrow)

I have my 12 wk scan booked for next Thursday - starting to feel anxious about it.
It was actually this time that I miscarried in Jan so it’s very triggering. I just really hope little one is ok in there ❤️

BEL88 · 22/07/2022 19:51

I've just had my scan too this evening and baby is measuring exactly as I thought :) and we got to see the heartbeat

@JoKB my symptoms have been coming and going's lots which is totally different from my last full term pregnancy

Lilipa · 22/07/2022 20:47

@Gamergirl84 good luck on your scan on Monday! Let us know, if you want, how it will go.

@Lmcc88 that's great news about your scan! Beautiful picture too! How far are you?

@OceanbreezeSun good luck on your scan next week! I hope it'll all go well! I know how you feel about being more anxious since you miscarried at the same week last time. Each pregnancy and each little baby is different, though. I'm sure it'll be all good this time.

@BEL88 congratulations on your scan! How many weeks are you?

Lmcc88 · 22/07/2022 20:54

Thanks @Lilipa great news about yours too!

I thought I was 10 weeks exactly but measuring 10 weeks 3 days today which would make my due date 14th of Feb
