@Seven201 there's no words, except I'm so sorry this is happening to you again. Give yourself some time to process and think and go with your gut on the procedure x

seven201 · 11/07/2022 13:08

@MooBugz sorry, I didn't mean to worry you for yours. I am a complex case, so a different kettle of fish.

I think I've decided to go for the tablets to bring on a bleed (have managed to book epu for tomorrow morning as my clinic can't give them to me). Then I need to try and collect the sample myself (she gave me a pot and some plastic tweezers!) which won't be nice. Probably worth trying to get it tested though.

Sorry for bringing a downer on the thread.

RedElleJ · 11/07/2022 13:33

No need to apologise @seven201 - we are here if you need us x

Hagster · 11/07/2022 13:46

@seven201 I'm truly truly sorry to hear this has happened to you again. It's so cruel and I am devastated for you. The next steps sound incredibly challenging for you. Talk as much as you need to, we're here for you, that's what this thread is for. Sending you a huge virtual hug xx

STom2 · 11/07/2022 13:52

@seven201 That's an incredibly difficult thing to have to do. Handhold from me. xx

MooBugz · 11/07/2022 14:19

@seven201 oh no please don't apologise at all! I was always nervous about the scan not anything to do with your news so I'm sorry if it came across like that.

That sounds like some testing days/weeks ahead and we're here for you if you need us don't hesitate, same goes for anyone We're here to support each other through the good and bad.

I've told work I'm not going in this week. I'm a
Secondary teacher. With my three previous losses I've only taken half a day total, but this time I really don't feel up to it, especially as I need to collect a sample.

Hagster · 11/07/2022 16:57

Good call on not going in this week @seven201. You absolutely deserve/need a break from work at the moment.

Gamergirl84 · 11/07/2022 17:14

@seven201 I'm so so sorry this happened.
For my third loss I took six weeks off. Take however long you need im sure the headteacher/ hr will be understanding in your situation.

MooBugz · 11/07/2022 19:58

Hi all, just had my scan and pleased to see all looking good and we saw a heartbeat!
Didn't expect to be upset but felt the tears as soon as I walked into that room - flashbacks of the last scan and bad news I guess.

I should be 8+6 but got measurements as 8+2 but sonographer was not concerned. Didn't stop me googling as I came out though! I think I'll still feel nervous till my official nhs scan but it has settled me and I had a lovely episode of vomiting right before we went 😅

Great news @MooBugz It’s such a nervous experience but I’m glad it’s gone well. I’m sure the next will go well too!

And I had exactly the same as they measured me smaller than I thought and I panicked and googled but its fine to measure slightly smaller. :)

Gamergirl84 · 11/07/2022 20:10

Well done @MooBugz 👏 Really good to hear 🙂

RedElleJ · 11/07/2022 20:27

Wonderful news @MooBugz - Now to enjoy your holiday :) Never fails to give me hope when people come out with positive news...those dates sound really good too so hopefully that won't play on your mind too much! x

Sad to report that the bleeding is back for me again and I have some back pain. It's a really lonely experience all this crap at times isn't it!? Even my hubby is a bit despondent with me as he doesn't know what to say. Only a week till my next scan though so will find out then - pretty sure I know how its going though.

MooBugz · 11/07/2022 20:50

Thank you all and I appreciate all the support 😊

Oh no @RedElleJ sorry to hear the bleeding is back. You hear of women who bleed all the way through and baby is absolutely fine so you just don't know what's going on until your scan but I'm hoping it's all fine.

Definitely shitty either way because you can never fully enjoy the experience and have that doubt in your head over everything. The bleeding went away and came back maybe it's something being aggravated rather than thinking the worst but sending you all my positivity. You sound very strong and level headed it's a shame hard experiences make you that way but it's a coping mechanism but you've got this either way you totally got this 💪

Thanks @MooBugz - I really appreciate that ☺️ I am genuinely so so pleased everything has gone well for you today. I really hope things stay on track x I’m feeling really positive for you x

RedElleJ · 11/07/2022 21:05

oh also ladies - I read that babies can measure +/- 5 days and all be fine 👍🏻 It’s the normal variation with imaging so that’s good news.

I also found this link…don’t know how accurate it is but it may help -www.hindawi.com/journals/isrn/2012/938583/tab4/

MooBugz · 11/07/2022 21:22

Thanks @RedElleJ I actually found a few calculators that estimate gestational age by conception date, and I had conceived using SMEP this time so had used ovulation test for the first time so I know the day or 2 I would have conceived. When I calculate by conception date as opposed to LMP it's giving me spot on 8+2 same as the scan today so I'm now feeling very reassured 🥹

What are we like?? Thank you so much for your good vibes I love that we are all so happy for each other and equally sad for each other when the news is not so good.

Gamergirl84 · 11/07/2022 21:28

Hi all, just to say my scan went really well today, little heartbeat and measuring 7+5 right on schedule.

They booked me in for another at 10 weeks for reassurance and I'm still on progesterone.

I'm still nervous. None of our natural pregnancies have worked out and we've lost all three.
Hoping this little one makes it.

MooBugz · 11/07/2022 21:33

Yay @Gamergirl84 so happy for you! That's good you are booked in again in a few weeks too. My next scan will be my nhs 12 weeks on 3rd Aug. I have my booking appointment this Wednesday. I was considering another scan after holiday but now that I've got reassurance with dates using conception date I feel happy to wait.

So nerve wracking for us all hopefully gets easier to accept it's happening in a few weeks 😊

Awww excellent news @Gamergirl84 - keeping everything crossed for you but what amazing news today ☺️ Keep the faith gal, you got this x

Gamergirl84 · 11/07/2022 21:45

Thank you @RedElleJ and @MooBugz 😊 Keeping positive when I remember to!
Was told at the hospital to get on and book my midwife appointment... easier said than done! I've had to cancel two in the past few years so I politely reminded her I will do so when I feel comfortable doing so 😆😑

Furbabymum15 · 11/07/2022 21:54

Hello Ladies please can I join.
I'm 44 and this is my 4th pregnancy, 1st 2 were mmc found at 12 wk scans and 3rd was a miscarriage at 7 wks..... Super case of anxiety over here. I'm getting twice weekly hcg shots and taking 150mg of aspirin daily so I really pray this is a sticky 1.
Im 5 wk +2 days got my 1st scan next Monday. Due on 9.3.23

STom2 · 12/07/2022 07:44

Congratulations on the positive scans @moobugz and @gamergirl84! Wonderful news!! I know you will still be anxious, but it is one more hurdle out of the way so enjoy it.

@redelleJ How are you feeling today?? Had the spotting changed?

I actually had a day yesterday where I felt much more normal (despite the heat), and didn't throw up. Even had quite a mixed, healthy dinner with things in there I couldn't think about for a few weeks. So of course I was worrying by the time I went to bed. I did throw up shortly after waking this morning though so perhaps yesterday was a bit of a fluke.

How is everyone coping with the god awful heat? We have a terraced flat so the place will not cool down. Sleeping is impossible atm. For us and DS. Waiting on an aircon unit to arrive this week. In the meantime my MIL is coming to stay today for a couple nights. I reckon I'm going to have to tell her about the pregnancy as if the sickness is anything like it was through a lot of last week it will be difficult to hide. Particularly as DH is at work all day so I can't quietly duck into the background.

STom2 · 12/07/2022 07:46

Also forgot to say welcome to @furbabymum15! You've come to the right place if you need a handhold through what is a very anxiety driven period. Feel free to offload your thoughts/worries here anytime. It's a good bunch of listeners. Smile

Lmcc88 · 12/07/2022 08:10

So pleased your scans went well @MooBugz @Gamergirl84

welcome to the group @Furbabymum15 really hoping you get your little miracle baby!
