Hi ladies 🙂 congrats on the scan @Boggles24 !

This nausea is just taking over. I'm actually considering medication. I could hardly work the back end of this week and it is just relentless 😭 I know I shouldn't moan because I would rather have it than not obviously!

I'm 8.5 weeks now so considering booking a private scan next week so it shortens the time I have to wait for the 12 week one but thats actually only 3.5 weeks away although might give me a bit of a boost to deal with the nausea too if I can see a little bean in there happy.

Anyways, hope you have been enjoying the sunshine everyone. Hope you're all okay x

ChangeHtotheP · 09/07/2022 22:05

We went for our early reassurance scan on Friday and was so relieved to see everything is where it needs to be and there was a strong heartbeat. I couldn’t look at first until
he confirmed everything was good, I’ve never been so nervous.

Hope everyone is enjoying the nice weather and feeling ok. I’m the same as others with the bloating. I then have 💨 like I’ve never had before. When does the pregnancy glow turn up?! 😂

BEL88 · 10/07/2022 08:25

Hey all, sorry haven't been keeping up with this forum much lately...can see there's been a few scans and good heartbeats which is great.

Does anyone know about blood pressure? I've noticed over the last few days that mine has dropped back to my normal pre pregnancy levels on my Fitbit which is scaring me :(
I'm 6+3

RedElleJ · 10/07/2022 09:17

Morning all,

Another glorious day outside...I'm stuck inside writing my thesis though! Not long to go though so just gotta push through.

I woke up to a fair amount of brown discharge/spotting this morning. It panicked me a bit but I do know that many women on these sorts of forums who take progesterone pessaries have reported it. Seems to be from an irritation of the cervix. I would try them as a suppository but the lady at EPU said if I can, persevere. So, I am hoping it is just the progesterone causing some irritation. I had some very very low pulling/cramping sensations last night - not like period cramps though - so I don't know what that means.

Anyway, hope everyone is well today. Sending all the positive vibes for those of you who have scans tomorrow :) x

Rubes1234 · 10/07/2022 09:55

Hey all!

happy to hear of more heartbeats and good scans!

@RedElleJ your probably right with the irritation. Anything sets me off at the minute so I imagine it’s not nice having the pessary in.

I’ve had a right roller coaster of a few days.
I’ve been mega constipated again finally went and had a small tiny amount of pinky/white discharge and what looked like a tiny blood clot which sent me crazy. I feel like my symptoms have lessened over the last day or so and can’t get myself out of the rut of thinking it’s another MMC. I’ve been sick this morning And boobs are slightly tender but not as sore as they have been. I’m driving myself up the wall.

Going away on Wednesday so I really don’t know what to do, go and get another scan or wait until I’m back.

Sorry to be a Debbie downer just really in my feelings this morning already had a little cry! 🙃.

Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend! X

RedElleJ · 10/07/2022 13:30

Unfortunately the brown spotting has turned into pink-ish bleeding. Not heavy enough to fill a pad so can't go to A&E.

I will keep a close watch on things over the course of the day and I am going to switch to making the progesterone a suppository - see if that changes anything.

Feeling really emotional and a bit like I know what is coming but I suppose still can't count myself out yet.

seven201 · 10/07/2022 14:05

@BEL88 the resting heart rate tracker on my Fitbit is driving me mad too. I've done a lot of googling and found stories that said their testing hr dropped too and was fine, but also found some less positive stories. It's just not something we should look at, but of course we do!

@RedElleJ sorry about the pink. I hope it stops. Good idea to switch where you use it.

RedElleJ · 10/07/2022 14:10

@BEL88 - I have heard the most accurate way to take a pregnant woman's BP is the old fashioned pump and gauge. So I wouldn't try to worry too much. Remember as you progress your body becomes accustomed to the different blood volumes over time so sometimes it will be higher and other times it will be lower.

@Rubes1234 Maybe book one in if you know you won't relax when you are away. Think we can all resonate with how scary any bleeding/discharge can make us so I completely understand where you are coming from. Sounds like your symptoms are coming and going, which is a good sign! Don't count yourself out yet and if you need reassurance be sure to go get it :) x

seven201 · 10/07/2022 14:30

@Rubes1234 I think if you think a scan will give reassurance then you should book one in. Personally I probably would, but we're all different.

MooBugz · 10/07/2022 22:14

@RedElleJ how are you doing? Hope things have got better for you ❤️

@seven201 @Gamergirl84 can you actually believe scan day is upon us tomorrow! Mine isn't till late in the evening so I'll probably be the last to update but have everything crossed for all of us having great news 🌈

OP posts:
OceanbreezeSun · 10/07/2022 22:38

Wishing everyone who has scans coming up the best news 💚 x

I have my booking in appointment tomorrow, it all feels more real now!

@Rubes1234
I hope you are ok?
If you can, perhaps get another scan before you go away to ease your worries.

Symptoms come and go, they can also fade as the weeks go on and the placenta starts taking over.
Strength of symptoms, whilst reassuring, are not always a guarantee.

@RedElleJ
I’m sorry you are going through such an anxious time, I really hope everything is ok.

Hagster · 10/07/2022 22:41

Sorry for being a bit quiet for a few days, have been burying my head in the sand about the pregnancy since I've also experienced a significant reduction in symptoms and having some (mild) cramping, I'm back to wanting coffee whereas a couple of days ago it was repulsive to me... Reassurance scan isn't booked for another two weeks yet but have convinced myself of another MMC too, @Rubes1234. Sorry you're in the same boat, hope it's ok and we're both just symptom-spotting but appreciate how hard it is not to! Oh the joys of pregnancy after loss.

Sorry to hear about the bleeding @RedElleJ, I hope you're ok and the day has been kind to you. Thinking of you.

@BEL88 I don't know anything about blood pressure but I'm sorry you're having this worry. It's so hard not to read into everything isn't it. Hope you're ok.

Best of luck to the ladies getting scans tomorrow, will be thinking of you and here for you however it is, but of course going for the best and that you get to meet your beans tomorrow! @MooBugz @seven201 @Gamergirl84 (sorry if I've missed anyone)

RedElleJ · 11/07/2022 06:45

Morning all,

Sorry to hear there are so many of us having a rough time with the anxiety of it all. If things go out way though, it will all be worth it so we got this ladies!

I still have some brown bleeding/discharge but as of right now no more pink bleeding (the day is young though).

Good luck for those of you who have scan today - hope all goes well and we get to hear your stories

Here’s to a good day for all of us x

MooBugz · 11/07/2022 07:38

Thank you for all the good luck vibes for today it's great to have the support.

I had a horrid night sleep I was invisibly subconsciously thinking about the scan and had a really bad dream about it all and relegated when I woke up and it wasn't real. I dreamt I was bleeding and clotting and it was really heavy and the mc was j oh ver before I even got to the scan it truly was horrible and I've woke up with a pounding headache.

Crazy how you try bury head in the sand but you can't save the subconscious thoughts!

Good luck to all today.

Really pleased @RedElleJ the colour has moved to brown for you: take it a step at a time your a strong lady and our babies are just worth every bit of this anxiety if it means holding them in our arms healthy down the line..

Hagster · 11/07/2022 08:17

Woke up today feeling sick as a dog. Never felt so glad to feel awful.

Glad the discharge has changed @RedElleJ, hopefully it evens off for you.

That dream sounds awful @MooBugz, wishing you a good scan, the waiting is pretty much over now.

And yes, one step at a time and we've got each other!

STom2 · 11/07/2022 08:42

Good luck to everyone with scans today! Hoping to hear lots of positive scan stories as the day goes on.

@hagster Seems like your symptoms are back in full swing! I tend to have days where I wake up feeling totally normal and as the day goes on this starts to bother me. On those days though it seems to hit me out of nowhere at lunchtime or late afternoon. There's no real schedule with it. I've to try to be as productive as I can when I feel fine as once it does hit I'm useless.

Rosie2022 · 11/07/2022 09:29

Good look all with scans! Can I join?! We just got our BFP this weekend at 12 DPO after 6 months TTC for our first. Feeling very blessed! And nervous for the road ahead! I think due date would be towards the end of March 2023. Any advice from those further along or not first timer for the next few weeks ahead?! I will call my doctor at lunch to make an appt and will continue taking folic acid. Anything else?! Any advice at all would be much appreciated!

Lmcc88 · 11/07/2022 09:32

Hi Guys!

Sorry I have been MIA for a while!

Hope you guys are all doing ok, ladies who are having a rough time I have everything crossed for you!

@MooBugz @seven201 @Gamergirl84 and anyone else who has scans today/coming up …. I hope these go really well for you guys!

We got to see our little bean on Wednesday! We didn’t get as far as seeing a heartbeat last time so actually seeing a baby on there was surreal like confirmation I wasn’t making it all up if that makes sense?

Instead of morning sickness mine is hitting me around dinner time or late at night… tough but reassuring at the same time.

Due Feb/Mar after MC 🌈 🙈
seven201 · 11/07/2022 10:13

@Lmcc88 congrats on the scan. Sorry about the evening sickness!

@Rosie2022 congratulations. Just checking you're aware this is a thread for those pregnant after previous miscarriage(s)? Just because you didn't mention that (not that you have to!).

I'm so nervous about the scan this morning. Going in shortly.

@MooBugz sorry about the nightmare

@Hagster sorry about the sickness. I do see what you mean about it being kind of nice!

madeinthe80z · 11/07/2022 10:18

Good luck everyone with scans today. Deep breaths, you can do it 💛

seven201 · 11/07/2022 11:27

Bad news from me. Made it to 6mm, so grew 0.5 mm since last week but the heart has stopped beating. Fourth fucking miscarriage in 4 1/2 years of trying. Why is this so unfair. Need to decide if I go for manual vacuum aspiration this week so it can be tested (although was a pgta tested embryo anyway). Aghhhhh

Lmcc88 · 11/07/2022 11:54

oh @seven201 im so sorry to hear this news!

RedElleJ · 11/07/2022 12:05

Awww @seven201 - I am devastated for you. I am so incredibly sorry you are going through this again! You do not deserve it.

I’m not savvy with IVF so I am not sure what pgta is but could it be possible the testing now might show something? I mean it is such a horrendous decision to have to make, they are emotionally and physically draining in and of themselves…let alone considering testing too.

Whatever decision you make is the right one for you.

Sending you lots of love and hugs - I hope you’ve got some time to just be over the next few days and don’t have to be anywhere that requires too much of your energy.

xxx

MooBugz · 11/07/2022 12:45

@Lmcc88 how far gone were you at the scan? I've never seen an early scan before so unsure what to expect to see but pleased for you that got the reassurance ❤️

Oh @seven201 I'm so very sorry to hear about your news, that's truly awful and unfair. I really do hope you can get some answers can't imagine what you must be going through. I really am sorry. Sending you lots of hugs and hope that you are okay 😞

My scan is not till tonight at 7:45 and I feel very very nervous now.

@seven201 I truly am so sorry to hear your news. It's desperately unfair. I really hope you can get some answers. Please take care of yourself. xx
