@Lilipa oh 95% is reassuring. Thanks for that. I'm in limbo. I should be 6+4 but had a scan yesterday at 6+3 and was measuring at 6+0 with no heartbeat yet. So either stopped developing at 6+0 or is just slow (doctor didn't seem too hopeful). It was our sixth transfer, but first bfp from ivf. Have had 3 natural pregnancies/miscarriages in the past 4 1/2 years and have a 6 year old naturally conceived dd. This is the first pregnancy where I've been on immune treatment and it's the furthest we've got (the rest ended by 6 weeks) so we thought/hoped this could be it. I'm hoping that the embryo took its time to implant. Will find out next week. I keep flitting between hopeful and miserable!

Lilipa · 29/06/2022 20:51

@seven201 I feel you. Pregnancy after IVF is such a happy one but also stressful at the same time. 3 days difference in the dates is absolutely normal. I really hope for you the baby just implanted late. 🙏
Is your next ultrasound next Tuesday? It's not long till then.

Our stories are quite similar in fact. I have a DD 4 y.o. from natural pregnancy, then 3 miscarriages from natural pregnancy, then 1 miscarriage from IVF and now this natural pregnancy. I can't believe it's my 6th pregnancy, in fact!
I really hope this is our lucky one for both of us 😊

Gamergirl84 · 29/06/2022 21:07

Feeling really despondent today- lack of symptoms mostly and the scan on Monday didn't really help as we only saw a yolk sac and gestational sac. I'm around 5+6 today and just ca t wait till im past 8 weeks with a heartbeat.

All my losses have been between 7 and 8 weeks and it just feels like forever.
2018 and 2019 I was pregnant for 7 months in total, but no babies.
It's so hard.

Congrats @seven201 on the positive scan!

seven201 · 29/06/2022 22:01

@Lilipa that does sound quite similar, although I wasted a good couple of years on top as I was incorrectly diagnosed with a midline septum, that turned out to be a big adhesion acting like a natural coil, so my previous ivf transfers had no chance really. Since that surgery out of the four months we've been allowed to try I've been pregnant 3 times (inc this ivf one) so it is huge progress for us, as there was nothing for 4 years. The doctor was very negative about the 3 days behind, since it was a FET. I didn't think it would be that big a worry, but she made a big point of saying that was too much of a difference for an IVF pregnancy. She said they'd look to up my immune protocol even more if I do mc again. I'm clinging on to a later implantation. I have an ultrasound at mc clinic on the Tuesday, but I happened to already have my 7 week viability scan at the ivf clinic booked in for the Monday, so that's one less day to wait.

It sounds like you're all booked in for your scan. This wait is like torture!

@Gamergirl84 when is your next scan? Sorry you're having a rough time too.

Gamergirl84 · 30/06/2022 06:40

@seven201 I'm sorry you had to wait so long to figure out what was wrong- we spent six years ttc and nothing. Despite all the tests between the NHS and ivf clinic no one ever found anything wrong.

I'm with you on the dates; three day is negligible at his stage.

My next scan is the 11th where I should be around 7+5.

Seems forever away!

Rubes1234 · 30/06/2022 08:06

Morning everyone!

Welcome @ChangeHtotheP and @JoKB lovely to have you here!

@Skylark1990 thinking of you! So glad you got a bit of reassurance with your scan! Good on your for pushing with them! Hope your feeling ok!

@seven201 Sorry to hear your a little behind. Try and stay positive. Given your journey I know that won’t come easy but like you say fingers crossed for a late implantation!

I have had a rough few days. The nausea and sickness have had me up the wall. I wouldn’t mind but I love being sick ( more the relief of it)
Stomach feels like it’s on a constant wash cycle. I’ve been eating like stem ginger and it’s starting to work but bloody hell. I was not this bad the first time around. 😅

I plucked up the courage and rang the EPU getting scanned on Tuesday. The lady who looks after me was ecstatic. Here’s me Dreading it. Mentally I’ve just been a little bit all over the place since booking. It’s just hard to think I may have to hear those four little words again. ❤️‍🩹
I’ve been trying to get an early night though and just sleep my way to Tuesday. I’ve also told work because I couldn’t get the time off without actually letting them know. I started my current job in between the mmc and just after Xmas so it was a fresh start and no feeling sorry for me in the office.

what’s everyone’s plans for the weekend? Xx

JoKB · 30/06/2022 09:56

@Rubes1234 im sorry to hear you’re so sick - it is somewhat reassuring but not easy.
i can have a scan tomorrow but ill be just 6 weeks so I’m going to try my best to wait until Monday (they’re walk in clinics) - after 2 losses this year - one a MMC, I’m absolutely terrified to get a scan in case it’s no good, but cannot stop obsessing over getting one too - I’m a mess!!!!
my 17 week pregnant sister comes to stay on Saturday for a few weeks too - I don’t know how I’m going to cope!! I feel like an emotional mess!

Skylark1990 · 30/06/2022 10:05

Hey everyone, hope you're all ok today. Sorry to hear about the nausea @Rubes1234 , defo a good sign but also so tiring and horrible! @user1471460621 thank you for checking in, I saw you are also on the progesterone pessaries, so we can be progesterone Pals 🙂 they didn't check for infection aside from doing a urine dip test for a bunch of stuff, but I don't have any signs of it I don't think, so think it's most probably not that. Been doing some further reading and I think the bleeding was most likely caused by low progesterone, it makes sense especially as I'm still breastfeeding my DD and that can affect progesterone levels too. Might be something to check @OceanbreezeSun if you do get any more bleeding!

So I'm hopeful the progesterone pessaries will help and that it wasn't too late.. . I did bleed more yesterday afternoon so I guess that could be a sign baby was affected by it but hopefully the fact we saw the heartbeat means baby is strong and the progesterone supplements will prevent further risk to it via bleeding. The bleeding and pain has mostly stopped now, just have some brown cm now, and the odd twinge or two. So just hoping no more bleeding!

I booked a scan privately for when I'll be 9+2, so on 20 July. They advised me to do it from there as will be more to see and also said good to leave at least 2 weeks between scans. So I just really hope we see a bigger baby with a good lil heartbeat. 3 weeks feels ages but I am sure it'll pass relatively quickly.

I've been signed off from work for a week so going to take this next few days to relax. We do have a trip to Norfolk planned this weekend so hopefully can do that...

Really hope your next scan shows a strong heartbeat and more growth @seven201 ❤️

Thank you again for all your kind words @RedElleJ @MooBugz @STom2 @Lilipa @JoKB @OceanbreezeSun @user1471460621 @seven201 and everyone else, what would I do without you?! Xx

Skylark1990 · 30/06/2022 10:07

Also best of luck for your scan on Tues @Rubes1234 and @RedElleJ you have a scan next week too yes?
Really good sign you are feeling ill @Rubes1234 , how many weeks are you?
I'm still not feeling much nausea at all.
@RedElleJ how are you feeling? Hope the anxiety is easing a little xx

madeinthe80z · 30/06/2022 10:51

Morning everyone :)

@Skylark1990 hope you're okay, glad your reading up on progesterone has given you an idea of what might be going on and fingers crossed for no more bleeding.

Just got back from my scan, saw baby (blob) and a heartbeat, measuring right on track at 7+1. I was so tense! No more pregnancy tests now! Going to book a private scan in a few weeks for reassurance between now and 12 weeks all being well.

Hope everybody is okay x

Lilipa · 30/06/2022 11:06

@madeinthe80z these are so wonderful news to read this morning! So glad that you saw the heartbeat on your scan and baby's measuring same as expected! This gives us so much hope so thank you for sharing the positive news 🤗

ChangeHtotheP · 30/06/2022 11:30

After reading so many updates on here yesterday I decided to get my big girl pants on and book a private scan. I decided to wait until we are 7 weeks (Next Friday) so hopefully there’s no confusion around whether there should be a heart beat or not. We are petrified but also excited.

I feel so jealous of those people who find out they’re pregnant and then just enjoy it. Lucky devils.

I can’t keep up with all of the comments and who said what but it’s so reassuring to see so many people feel as much anxiety and worry as I am, safety in numbers eh?! 😄

JoKB · 30/06/2022 11:58

Congrats @madeinthe80z that’s so lovely!

great to have the decision made @ChangeHtotheP - I will be 7 weeks then too but I’m going in on Monday - I don’t think I can wait until Friday - I’m an anxious mess!! Hoping 6+3 will be enough 🤞🏼🤞🏼

I’m analyzing my symptoms coming and going too much but just want to ask - and sorry if its TMI - has anyone else has a lot less CM around 6 weeks?

Gamergirl84 · 30/06/2022 12:03

Great news! @madeinthe80z
@Skylark1990 I'm also on progesterone - feeling my cramps.are entiey down to that and nothing else 🙄
I hope the three weeks go quickly for you- I'm on a two week wait for my next scan and feeling every day of it

ChangeHtotheP · 30/06/2022 12:33

@JoKB i have everything crossed for you at your scan.

I have been trying to not analyse symptoms (or lack of) as I’ve given myself a talking to. I’ll share what I’ve been telling myself in case it helps. I have to remember that we are all different and will experience different pregnancies. If we focus too much on comparing we’ll drive ourselves crazy as we’re not exactly the same in any other way. We have to go concentrate on the fact we are pregnant today and take it day by day.

JoKB · 30/06/2022 13:03

@ChangeHtotheP you’re right! Thank you for the advice x

Rubes1234 · 30/06/2022 13:12

Ah congratulations @madeinthe80z so happy to see some positive news! So happy for you!

@ChangeHtotheP I fully agree with this and having a little chat to yourself! I spoke with my MIL today and just decided there’s physically and mentally no more I can do to help this go the right way. We’re okay today let’s see what tomorrow brings!!

@Skylark1990 I’m currently 6+6 but EPU are measuring me at 7+1 as my period was 28 day cycle before but I’m averaging about 30 day from the mmc. So I’m fully expecting to be 2 days behind on their dates but hopefully they will update this when I go. I am just nausea/being sick and nips on fire. Tiredness has levelled out but it’s right what @ChangeHtotheP says were all different. If anyone wants to take this nausea though feel free! If anyone else is struggling I got some really good ginger gummies in Tesco! They’ve really helped in the morning!

Skylark1990 · 30/06/2022 13:29

@Rubes1234 that's great news - and measuring ahead slightly! Amazing 😘 @ChangeHtotheP that's a good way of looking at things ❤️

The bleeding has come back again today. It's still not super heavy but definitely bleeding and not just spotting. I called the epau again and they will bring me in for a scan on Mon to check. She did say again it's very common to bleed and as long as it's not soaking through pads then I don't need to go to a&e. I also passed a clot the size of a 50p coin 😥 I must admit I'm really scared still. I hope the little baby is hanging on.

I'm also having cramps but @Gamergirl84 do you think these could be the progesterone? Is it like dull period cramps for you? Xx

Gamergirl84 · 30/06/2022 14:16

@Skylark1990 yep hun, I can't say for certain but that's exactly what it feels like for me plus I used them last ivf cycle and had exactly the same. Usually and hour or two after I've 'popped' one 😆

Lilipa · 30/06/2022 15:01

@Skylark1990 This is very nice that you're going in on Monday. I really really hope that you'll see your baby with a strong heartbeat like the previous time. I hope a doctor can explain to you where the blood comes from, as well. Best of luck! I hope you will have a good weekend before so that you can distract yourself 😊😊

Rubes1234 · 30/06/2022 16:05

Ah @Skylark1990 I think I’ve confused you.
On the phone call to them they measured my estimated date from my old records and cycle length. So they have me 2 days ahead, they were too busy to correct on the phone. So I’m just going to tell them my cycle length has changed since MMC.

Glad your getting another scan Monday. Have everything crossed for you! X

STom2 · 30/06/2022 16:37

@Skylark1990 Sorry to hear the bleeding started again. Rest up over the weekend. I know its easy for others to say, but I know a few people who bled like this, and worse, in their early pregnancy and it was never anything sinister. But as I say, I can appreciate with your past experiences this will be of little comfort to you at this moment in time.

I've tested positive for Covid. Far from ideal on top of the nausea that was already in full swing. Getting sick so much today and it's hard to know what's pregnancy related and what's covid related. Only silver lining is my sense of smell has completely gone, so the nausea isn't getting worse when I smell things (ie having to change DS nappies!). Every cloud eh....

Skylark1990 · 30/06/2022 16:56

Thank you @Rubes1234 , @STom2 , @Lilipa @Gamergirl84 ❤️
The bleeding is quite heavy and pain is bad now. I am not feeling positive about it. Looking into a private scan for tomorrow as we are supposed to be going away over the weekend. I just don't know what to think ATM, it's been so up and down with the bleeding, cramps and seeing the heartbeat amidst all this 😥 it feels so unfair and I just can't understand why it's happening when there was a bean there with a heartbeat yesterday.
I'm sorry to be downer, I'm literally living in limbo right now and just constantly googling and checking Mumsnet. I need to try to take my mind off it.

STom2 · 30/06/2022 17:19

@Skylark1990 This sounds awful. Is it heavy enough to fill a pad? Maybe if you are in pain and it is heavier they will see you at A&E?

HarryPotterGeek84 · 30/06/2022 17:25

Hi @Skylark1990 , I’m so sorry to hear what you have been going through and really hope it turns out ok for you.

In my first pregnancy I bled constantly for the first 12 weeks, with some very heavy bleeding and large clots on several occasions in that time. On a couple of the EPU scans they could see a subchronic haematoma, but on others they couldn’t see any reason for it at all. Although I miscarried that pregnancy, I don’t think it was the bleeding that caused it as she was absolutely fine on every scan, but happened to coincidentally happen the day after I started taking aspirin which I can’t help but think triggered it. The nurses used to tell me some women bleed through their whole pregnancies, so it may not mean miscarriage.

It’s good you’re now on progesterone, hopefully it will just take a couple of days to kick in and then that should hopefully calm the bleeding.
