Thanks @EnterACloud - all good phew! Measuring a little behind where I thought I was but not surprised as my cycles can be all over the place. 5w3d with a lovely little heartbeat 😊

Louise0701 · 01/06/2022 21:46

Hi, please can I join? I’m from South Yorkshire. Anyone else expecting number 4?

Moosh18 · 01/06/2022 21:55

@fancyfrogs fantastic news! And wow a heartbeat already! What a strong little thing!

@Moosh18 I know, I thought I was closer to 6w3d-ish and was worrying about that even being too early to see one so really pleased!

Hana89 · 01/06/2022 22:31

Thanks for the replies @Cherrymarket , @sparklyhippo and @Somatronic 💖💖💖
I went to spin class and just tried to take it a lot easier than I usually would. I was really mindful of not getting to the point that my breathing was all over the place and just keeping a good pace, not trying to break any records.
I'm really glad I went. Felt more like myself than I have in ages. 🙂

Moosh18 · 02/06/2022 07:05

@hopingfor23 oh it's so good to hear isn't it! The sonographer said to me, "there is a strong heartbeat! I was so relieved!

@fancyfrogs my DD was put back a week from what I thought! I was gutted 😂 felt like I was doing an extra week! X

Hey - I have a ‘Peloton’ room at home with a tread and bike which I’ve used daily for nearly 2 years and was a gym goer before that (im not a slim individual as love wine and food, very average). Giving up 30-60 mins a day of exercise would mentally drain me and so I’ve continued this. I do get breathless a little easier I think and I haven’t been trying to smash my personal best scores etc…. But I think it’s important for your body not to be shocked in to nothing. I did a 24 mile outdoor cycle this week and felt great, if a little tired after.
Do what feels right for you!

ps im 34, so probably on the ‘older’ side here if it makes a difference

LouiseD2018 · 02/06/2022 07:18

So happy to see the reassuring scans, hope there are more to follow!

We are signed off from IVF clinic now, 9 weeks. Had a scan last Friday at 8+3. It was amazing to see the change from the little line at the first scan which was the same size as yolk sac, so much growth in 2 weeks! Baby was laying face down strange little thing.

Nausea has ramped up, I'm retching daily but it seems to be worse at night irrespective of whether I'm hungry. Mornings I feel sick until I've eaten cocopops- never been that keen but I can't get enough of them at the minute. I can't eat meat, which is quite difficult with DH being a meat lover it makes me retch. When I've persisted with mind over matter every single time it's caused loose bowels! So I'm a temporary vegetarian. I need to get my head in gear and get some nice recipes.

Other than that still very tired, I could sleep all hours of the day if it weren't for work!

@LouiseD2018 aww hi baby! You are the same time as me! Is that the little yolk sac next to baby?

My sickness has only really started in last few days and the same as you gets so so bad on an evening! Weirdly when I was pregnant with DD I couldn't eat meat! Literally couldn't stand it! Which is funny as all the females on husband side are veggies not for any reason other then the don't like it! DD is one and still gags when we give her meat! So odd! This time my only aversion is cooked peppers! The sight smell or taste of them makes me Gip! It's the strangest thing! I was laid in bed last night and thought about them abs started gipping! X

LouiseD2018 · 02/06/2022 08:29

@Moosh18 yes thats the yolk sac.

Isn't it strange evening sickness, I'm not complaining too much as I'd really struggle at work but I am looking forward to the point it passes. I read week 9 was the peak which makes sense, before hand I only felt sick on an empty stomach.

How strange in that about meat & females in the family? It makes sense though, I went off dairy with DD and she can't tolerate too much of it without getting a bad tummy. This one is full on dairy no meat, my husband joked it can't be his - comes from a Welsh farming background so very pro meat 😆

I might try out some meat substitutes see if they work for me and husband!

That's doable one aversion if you can hold back from imagining them 😆, are you swapping peppers out for something else for a while? Hope it doesn't get worse!

Moosh18 · 02/06/2022 08:39

@LouiseD2018 so bizarre what it does to our bodies! Yeah I'm hoping this is the peak, I had hypermesis with DD from weeks 5-18 so I'm counting my blessings I only feel sick from week 8 on an evening! Had me convinced I'm having a boy!

I have cramps again too and backache, so I'm hoping it's a growth spurt! Do you have any cramping or odd pains, it's not so much period cramps more like a pulling ache on both sides like a dull on, or a burny type feeling x

Hi ladies 7 weeks little worried today pink streak of mucus discharge very little though when I wiped and cramps all day yesterday and uneasy and I can’t think of implantation this late any one experience this and I lifted a moderate heavy shopping bag it’s a mistake which I feel .Thanks

LouiseD2018 · 02/06/2022 15:06

@Moosh18 yes I do get the odd twinge, cramps, stretching feeling. Seems to be mostly when I'm laying down at night.

@Waitin a few of us have had some level of spotting mine was light brown then pink for a day between 5-7 weeks. I had an early scan after my gp referred meand everything was OK. For the past 2 weeks no more spotting.

I've heard it can be very common and stop and start, if you are worried though its worth speaking to your gp / epu

Moosh18 · 02/06/2022 15:43

@Waitin yep I had it between 5-7 sometimes pink sometimes brown! X

Is anyone else getting twingey pain in their groin? like on the pelvic bone? It’s pretty mild but it’s been coming and going for a couple of days, should I worry or is it normal?

babyjellyfish · 02/06/2022 20:35

I get sort of stabbing pains around the pubic area when I twist or move too suddenly.

I think I had the same thing in my last pregnancy.

I have this if I move too quick. It's like a stitch

281717O · 03/06/2022 07:37

@Waitin i had pink/brown spotting with some red one day between weeks 5-7… I’m still convinced my discharge is a little brown. Had a healthy scan at 6+ weeks so.
with both previous pregnancies I had bleeding at 7.4 which was normal!

mmp22 · 03/06/2022 09:50

Hi All, looking for some advice. I’m 7 weeks today. yesterday i had painful cramping and brownish discharge when wiping (like the start of a period) today i am passing some large clots. feels like the miscarriage i had in April at 5 weeks. I’m not sure if i should call anyone + if so, who? because if I’m going through another miscarriage then there’s not much they can do. also tested positive for covid on Wednesday so feeling really rough + helpless.

EnterACloud · 03/06/2022 11:40

Oh no @mmp22 I’m really sorry to hear. I think you’re probably as well to call the docs or midwife or the early pregnancy unit in your local area. They’ll probably want to check you over? Sending warm drinks and sorry about your news. 💐

Moosh18 · 03/06/2022 16:53

@mmp22 I'm so sorry, I would definitely call the EPU And ask them for their advice, xxxxxx

@Moosh18 @EnterACloud thank you both. turns out i was never pregnant + i had a really weird cycle after my miscarriage in April. Most the tests i did were positive but a faint positive and i went with ‘a line is a line’ i won’t be doing that again.. thought i was pregnant for 3 weeks when actually i wasn’t :/

wishing you all the best for your pregnancies 💖

hopingfor23 · 03/06/2022 17:37

So sorry @mmp22 😢😢😢 A line usually means there was at least the beginnings of a pregnancy though so perhaps it was a chemical? Either way look after yourself 😘😘😘
