Baby January 2023!

Anyone else due January 2023?! Found out yesterday I'm pregnant with baby #2. If my dates are right, I'm 3+6, due 27th January! My daughters a Jan baby, but was due feb (she was 3 weeks early). May just must be a very fertile month for us! We fell pregnant last May too, but never met them😢.

@Aleks86 oh god I couldn’t do with moving house so close to baby coming. However I did move the year before the week before Christmas lol and hosted Christmas. Sometimes it’s best to just get it all over and out the way at the same time lol so when people visit they can unpack for you ! ‘Just pop that box in that room and then when you have done just pop the box in the recycling’ lol 😂 I would totally do that.

also every night is a shit night sleep at the moment. I can’t stop going to the toilet either , having to use toilet bum wipe things cause it’s getting a little sore the constant wiping. Another fun part of pregnancy , oh an anusol …. 🙄😳

I’m really nervous for my sweep . I would be really surprised if it didn’t work cause the signs are getting stronger. I just feel like crap now, kinda like I’m getting ill but I’m not just really drained and just sat around waiting. Also I can not stop eating! I wish I could sleep more through the day but my brain won’t switch if, constnstly thinking about the cost of childcare , logistics going back to my degree, my DD who is being fussy and now has a cold so she keeps waking up cause she’s lost her tissue in her bed lol 😂 but she’s very excited and she’s very keen to help with baby which will be nice. Can we all wish for babies before Friday lol everyone cross your fingers !

I lied down now to rest and pain has passed but I can feel its not long until he gets out now.

I dont have any signs of clearout you do yet and feel fine overall. I do feel rising pressure in my pelvis though and him getting lower and lower.

@Jusmakingit lol yes sometimes it is better to get it all out at the same time.

Logistically it would be much better for me if he was born next week tho 🤣
How is your pain after the fall?

I feel dreadful today. Again on and off the toilet and had a nap this afternoon. No appetite at all and feel like I am a bit feverish. Hot and cold all the time just generally not great. No pains as such just my belly feels heavier and more pressure. Wish I knew whether this is things starting slowly or I’m just unwell. Guess I can only see how I get on tonight but hopefully it passes or
progresses so I have a clue. Would hate to feel like this for days potentially weeks!

@Aleks86 glad the pain has passed. Try get as much rest as you can and hopefully baby stays inside until next week 🤞🤞

@Jusmakingit good idea about the wipes… I have some so might try that and see if helps with the excessive wiping 🙄 as you said a perk of pregnancy 🤣 that’s so cute about your daughter being excited. Once baby is here everything will fall into
place for you, again it’s the unknown so the brain goes into overdrive thinking doesn’t it!

Had my sweep , already 2cm and a bit of mucus plug came out at same time. Everything down there now feels a light tighter and aches. If this doesn’t work Monday 7am induction at hospital urgh nervous. As PP said, every little twinge and pressure im thinking about lol 😂 commee on baby !!

@Jusmakingit that's how I felt after my sweep and my contractions started at 1am! Fingers crossed baby is on the way.

@H44123 I had that clearing out before baby arrived! That's a positive sign.

I realised I didn't share a photo of my little peach. She's two weeks today! Time flies. Except the time between 9pm and 5am... that does not fly 😂

@TokenGinger what a little peach! Oh gosh I can’t wait to get this baby out haha well I’m still having pinky bloodish discharge mixed with the stretchy stuff and normal white discharge - fuck knows . The period pains have stopped, babies gone a bit quiet and I’m now wide awake . My heartburn is back which keeps waking me up so had more gaviscon. I’m just done lol but no doubt once labour kicks in Il be begging for some drugs. Just feel crap and lower tummy pelvic area aches still. Men haven’t a clue what our bodies go through lol

erm yes 9pm - 5am seems to be the one lol I remember my DD1 it was always 3 am which my mum said was always witching hour 😬 haha

@TokenGinger 😍😍 she is gorgeous! Congratulations again! I have started within the last hour with belly ache at the front. As in cramps but nothing long or regular but enough to stop me and make me think. But more intense than tightnings or the shooting pains I have had before. Going to try go to sleep to see if anything develops. Partner leaves for work at 2am and is a lorry driver so bit worried he might be far away when things kick off! I’m only thinking it could be something because of feeling so crap today!

@Jusmakingit that sounds like a positive sweep! 2cm already and a bit of the plug! Very promising! I bet you won’t need that induction!

@Jusmakingit that sounds so positive. I think baby will be here by tomorrow/Friday morning. Once I'd started to lose bloody mucus with both babies, they were here within 24 hours!

@TokenGinger im starting to think it’s just blood from aggravating the cervix cause it’s just gone a bit brown and nothing else now. I have a sore throat and cold from my DD having a cold. Terrible sleep. Hopefully something will start through the day 🙏 thanks for keeping me company . hope your ok xx

@TokenGinger nope nothing happened 🤣I think I just felt off yesterday and then the pain I was getting was because I needed to wee. Whatever it was I slept and nothing since!

@Jusmakingit give it time… it can start off slowly but you have very positive signs! Try not to get too disheartened. Hope you feel better from the cold too xx

@H44123 I also had pains yesterday and really strong cramps, I thought that was it and I will need to wake my husband in the middle of the night to go to the hospital. But i slept well through the night and today no cramps yet, just
pressure in the pelvic area and lower back when baby moves.

@Jusmakingit hope things will kick off for you soon! so sorry you caught a cold, life really is testing you lately isnt it!

Not much of an update I’m afraid. Been having period cramping pressure on and off since 2 am but nothing significant. Everyone’s experiences online are so different with how there labour started but I’m fed up of people saying ‘you will know when they are real’ but some people say they started with period like pains in the lower abdomen and then after so many hours got stronger.

@Jusmakingit totally agree with you in regards to everyone’s being different making it difficult to know.

No update from me, I went to bed with dull period pains but nothing major to stop
me sleeping. When I woke at 4am for a wee they were stronger but again nothing major and I went back to sleep. Now nothing. I don’t know whether they are BH or baby moving etc but I would say overall the pressure is more the past few days and the pains but I think it’s more when baby moves. Just think - once baby’s are here we will actually know how it started for us!!

No update from me either, 40+5 today.
I had some strong cramping pains on Tuesday evening and thought is this the start but during the night they disappeared and had nothing since.

@H44123 @Charlie023 why dont they want to come out lol I’m so fed up of being uncomfortable now. Everything is a chore and uncomfortable 😣

@Jusmakingit I’m not too bad in that I’m uncomfortable, I’m just over it now and feel like I have wasted a week of waiting and nothing! I’m cleaning the oven today trying to be active to see if things start. I’m more wanting it start this weekend when my partner is home as otherwise being a lorry driver he could be hours away. Think I’m going to get the bouncing ball out today and try some nipple stimulation see if that works!

Hey guys! Update!

I had my gorgeous babygirl Myla Rae on Tuesday via planned C-section. She weighs a beautiful 7lb 12oz. I cried my eyes out as soon as I heard her little cry. . So in love with her!
I did loose rather alot of blood during the section. Passed out as we went to recovery and had a longer stay than planned but I am now home. Recovering has been HARD! Lots of tears but I'm so pleased she is finally here!
How is everyone else feeling? Any more updates? Sorry it took to long to respond

@Kerryw93 congratulations she's beautiful and I love the name.
Still waiting for my baby boy to arrive, hoping it won't be much longer but I'm not convinced it will be soon as not really had any signs yet. Felt like I had loads more energy today almost like I wasn't even pregnant, went for a walk and done chores in the house.

@H44123 Safe to say things are finally showing signs of progressing! Defo lost the old mucus plug about 40 mins ago which would be strangely , exactly 48 hours to almost the minute i had my sweep! I cant believe how much has come out and is still coming. its pretty gross tbf lol i wasnt prepared for the amount, or the look of it lol i had seen pictures online but ... yeah its gross lol. Also my search history is funny, so much preg labour stuff haha. Anything on your end?

@Jusmakingit Yay! Happy for you it’s worked so far… hopefully tonight is the night things really start moving for you 🤞 I keep watching for the plug but nope nothing. I read online though some people don’t realise or see if til later in labour so hopefully it happens to me and gives me a bit of a clue! I don’t think anything will happen for me before my next sweep Monday anyway. Feels strange to think it’s my due date tomorrow!

Haha you sound just like me… I’m constantly on mumsnet searching things like signs of Labour, dodgy tummy before etc! Think I have read most by now!! Keep us updated with how you’re getting on!!!! Xx

Haha I love mumsnet. So much variety to read lol but I do find some really stupid posts like ‘my husbands having a heart attack should I call an ambulance’ or ‘I accidentally looked at my neighbours cat, should I send an apology’ lol obv not but the level of stupid posts from some people. And the ones who put some really juicy stuff up and then NEVER update the post of the outcome etc. I feel sorry for most men who post as well cause regardless of the question etc they just get ripped to pieces but the replies wouldn’t be the same if a woman had posted it.

Fingers crossed tonight is the night . I got cramps last night but then they went which seems really common with us all at this stage. I am full of cold and nearly lost my voice as well. I am literally in it for the drugs right now, epidural to help me from the fall last week and a IV to clear this cold of lol 😂 I’m open to any other drugs they may offer haha 😂

@Kerryw93 this week is my first week of mat leave so I had a list of cleaning to do but so far have done 1 thing… the oven today and I took all day doing it! I think I have watched everything possible on TV so I’m now bored of that.

@Jusmakingit yes I do love mumsnet and the ridiculous things people post. You might surprise yourself and not want/need any pain relief. I have always been about the want for pain relief 🤣 epidural was always at the front of my mind from the very beginning and like you anything else they will offer me to be honest!
