It just took me that long to shave my legs in the shower I ended up feeling faint and sick. Slightly worried I overheated myself as I know that can be dangerous to the baby 😩

You'll be absolutely fine, at this late stage heat isn't too much of a dangerous factor like it is in early pregnancy.
X

Prema112 · 07/05/2022 11:28

@Clomid1 So so pleased to hear baby has grown! Excellent news you must be so happy! X

Brightsmoke · 07/05/2022 11:53

@thewindbeneathmywings congratulations! What a shock that must've been for you! Hope you're both doing well

Glad it's good news @Clomid1

Hope everyone has a great weekend Smile

NorthDevonBeachLover · 07/05/2022 12:33

@thewindbeneathmywings wow, congratulations to you all. Speedy birth!
Glad all is well x

Lostintranslatio · 07/05/2022 14:50

@thewindbeneathmywings congratulations!!!! Your little boy is gorgeous 😍😍 Hope you are both doing OK!

Clomid1 · 07/05/2022 16:41

Thanks everyone. Definitely relieved. Although I am a bit confused now. Her abdominal circumference was 3.5th centile and thats now 16th centile. But her head has dropped from 16th centile to 4.8 centile. She has put a comment to say HC might be inaccurate due to foetal lie 🤷‍♀️. Overall weight is maintained at 10th centile, estimating she’ll be 3kg at 40 weeks, which I don’t think is that small? Shows you what I know 😅. I will let you guys know once I hear back from foetal medicine.

Prema112 · 07/05/2022 17:33

@Clomid1 That sounds great! 3kg isn't that small, my son was exactly 3kg born at 39+1 and didn't seem particularly small

beansprout55 · 07/05/2022 21:00

Starting to browse carriers/slings, any recommendations?xx

EarlGreywithLemon · 07/05/2022 21:01

@thewindbeneathmywings wow, congratulations! He’s so cute, and it sounds like you felt with it incredibly well!

JAR1981 · 07/05/2022 21:13

Gosh wow @thewindbeneathmywings that must have been a shock! What a cutie though, hope you’re all recovering well.

@beansprout55 we got an ergobaby omni 360 for dog walks in the woods etc which came highly recommended from friends & family then I also picked up a freerider fabric one for round the house this week whilst on sale.

@CurryandSnuggle how you doing? Think I may be turning a corner. Still can’t walk further than about 10 mins but can def breathe better at home now. Has the hospital given you an oxymeter?

thewindbeneathmywings · 07/05/2022 21:16

@beansprout55

The contractions started very similar to the braxton hicks, it was more the intense pressure in my back passage that made me realise!

mrkb · 07/05/2022 21:21

@beansprout55 we got a Tula explore in the sale at the start of the year - recommended by a friend. Obviously haven't used it properly yet but have tried it on and it was really easy/straightforward and comfy unlike the baby Björn which was baffling and had no back strap so could imagine it putting strain on lower back!

pregnancydiaries · 07/05/2022 21:59

Back in hospital with hyperemesis at 33+4, honestly I thought those sick days were a thing of the past 😩

EarlGreywithLemon · 07/05/2022 22:01

@beansprout55 we really like our Ergobaby Omni 360 . It has very good back support and we’ve found it easy enough to put on. Having a bit of a panic because we can’t find it in the loft!

t0nim92 · 08/05/2022 04:59

@thewindbeneathmywings
Huge Congratulations!! How nice to see a baby born on the thread.

I honestly couldn’t imagine how scary that must have been. Glad to hear baby is doing okay and hope that you are too! X

t0nim92 · 08/05/2022 05:02

@pregnancydiaries
Oh no! I struggled so much in the beginning with that 😩 couldn’t imagine it coming back. Have they given you some fluids? Hopefully you’re feeling a bit better by today x

t0nim92 · 08/05/2022 05:05

Me and my son got back from butlins on Friday and I tested positive for covid yesterday 😩.
Not feeling the greatest but not feeling too bad. Lost my appetite so going to try and force snacks and at least one main meal down.
Meant to have a midwife appointment this week along with a health visitor coming out so going to have to cancel those.

Hope third trimester is going well for you all x

Prema112 · 08/05/2022 08:26

@pregnancydiaries Oh no you poor thing that's awful 😞 So unfair that it's come back as if third tri isn't hard enough. Hope they can make you feel a lot better in the hospital xx

Oh my word, who posted about leg cramps the other day?? I had the worse calf cramp I've ever had last night, it was agony, I didn't know what to do, I leap (well kinda slithered) out of bed and was just moaning, lasted about a minute. And this morning it's so painful I can't really walk

fpeg · 08/05/2022 08:38

@pregnancydiaries hope you're feeling a bit better today, how utterly horrible for you 😔 sending you lots of love that it doesn't hang around ❤️❤️

Octoblockisadick · 08/05/2022 08:41

@pregnancydiaries oh that's so unfair! Hopefully they manage to give you something to make you feel better ❤

@t0nim92 sorry you've got covid! Phone the midwife before cancelling, they may still see you, you never know. Hopefully it doesn't hit you too bad, and you are better very soon.

@Prema112 that was me, it was horrific 😢. I was literally hopping around the bedroom almost in tears, and couldn't walk for 2 days after. A bath helped, and using my husbands massage gun on my calf a lot.

Prema112 · 08/05/2022 08:44

@Octoblockisadick Oh gosh it so bad isn't it!! I had calf cramps last preg but nothing like that! Yes I think a warm bath would be great if I can get in it!

@t0nim92 So sorry you've got covid, hope it's mild for you, rest up

Vimto1991 · 08/05/2022 09:16

@pregnancydiaries oh no!! I wonder why it has come back again? A surge in hormones or baby pressing on your stomach perhaps? Hope you are feeling better today!!

@t0nim92 sorry to hear you’ve got covid, atleast you have it now before birth! Hopefully you still get your scheduled appointments and it doesn’t hit you that hard!!

the past two nights I’ve had such a weird phenomenon. If I’m out the blankets my whole body feels freezing, if I get in the blankets my whole body feels like I’ve jumped into a lava pit and start sweating, and there’s no in between. In fact my body still feels cold in the blankets, but I go clammy. I’ve struggled to sleep because of it but managed to last night with just a fleece blanket, my oodie and a fan on. I googled and there’s such a thing as pregnancy night sweats, not sure if it’s related. I took a covid test and all is fine there, unless I have regular flu. 😩 anyone else get these weird sweats?

pregnancydiaries · 08/05/2022 09:29

@t0nim92 @Prema112 @fpeg @Vimto1991 @Octoblockisadick thanks so much ladies ♥️♥️♥️ I've been feeling ridiculously sorry for myself. Ketones were +4 when I came in at 3pm yesterday and are still the same this morning despite being on a drip the whole time. Back on IV ondansatron and going to try and eat and hopefully that helps. There is a girl next to me who is in first trimester with it and honestly it's just reminding me that the end is at least in sight, poor thing.

@t0nim92 @Vimto1991 sorry you guys aren't feeling good ☹️ hope it passes soon xxx

t0nim92 · 08/05/2022 09:50

@pregnancydiaries @Vimto1991 @Prema112 @Octoblockisadick thanks guys!

@pregnancydiaries you'd have thought you’d have been feeling better with the fluids. Have you not managed to eat anything whilst being in there? I remember when I went in and an anti sickness injection and I was starving about half an hour later. At least they’re keeping you in and checking if the ketones are changing, don’t remember them checking mine before they let me go.

@Vimto1991 with my last pregnancy I remember waking up really sweaty legs. I just presumed it was my lower body preparing for the shock of labour. At least you managed a bit better with a fleece blanket, maybe use that or something thin going forward.

@Prema112 I get really bad cramps, I can’t do a full body stretch without my right calf getting cramp. The only thing I’ve realised helps ease it a little, is moving my foot around gently as I feel the cramp coming. I find if I sit there still, like I’ve done with cramp before pregnancy, it will stay until I’ve stretched it out. I got a bruise from it the first time I had it this pregnancy x

Letsbekindplease · 08/05/2022 10:11

What Moses basket does everyone have ?

I took mine to bits to wash it and the cover has a stain on it. A replacement cover is about the same price as a Moses basket. I also can’t screw it in so to save me any hassle I’ll just get a new one. Everything we’re using is from my first child so one new thing will be nice.
