I know this is very early but I wanted to start a thread for those with a January 2023 due date.

I got my BFP 2 days ago and am about 4 weeks pregnant today. I already have a little boy born in November 2020 and I’m super excited for him to get a sibling but I know it’s early days and have had 2 early miscarriages in the past so slightly nervous too!

@Nyxxie I was on the BetterYou conception spray so I’ve switched to their pregnancy spray. I can’t stand huge tablets and thought something I didn’t need to swallow would be easier if I felt sick.

@Somatronic I really liked Emily Oster’s Expecting Better. I’m reading ‘

Amber17 · 24/05/2022 16:58

Hit post too soon 🤦‍♀️

I’m reading ‘the book you wish your parents had read’ atm which is more about psychology of parenting. I haven’t found a good one about dealing with third trimester and birth yet but that’s quite a way off.

Peonies94 · 24/05/2022 17:39

@Hana89 congratulations!!

Cb31 · 24/05/2022 18:28

@Hana89 that's lovely news! So pleased for you 😊 x

freckles503 · 24/05/2022 19:47

@Hana89 Thanks! I feel like I’m going mad analyzing every little thing 🥴. Fingers crossed for doubled numbers tomorrow.

Nyxxie · 24/05/2022 20:58

@Amber17 ooh I like the idea of a spray, I might look into that once I've made it through this pack of horse pills!

SweetPeaPods · 25/05/2022 08:04

@Nyxxie I have a couple on the go.
One is pregnacare liquid and one is chewable. I went for the known bump and me gummies but there is loads out there.
I find them both much better than swallowing large tablets. I went for 2 depending on how I feel that day nausea wise.

LilyKitten · 25/05/2022 10:18

Hi, got my positive test a week and half ago, think I'm about 6 weeks, so due January 2023 😊

brogan12 · 25/05/2022 12:32

Heyy! Has anyone had an early scan before at about 6 weeks 3 days? I have mine on Friday, according to lmp I am 7 w 3 d then but I have a long cycle and I know I'm a week behind that. So nervous I won't be able to see anything!

babyjellyfish · 25/05/2022 12:46

@brogan12 I had one at 6 weeks exactly. Saw the gestationl sac, yolk sac, fetal pole and heartbeat.

It will need to be a transvaginal scan though. They won't be able to see anything abdominally.

brogan12 · 25/05/2022 12:47

@babyjellyfish eeek! I'm so excited yet so nervous at the same time! So scared I won't be able to see anything which I know is just me overthinking!

PinkTiger86 · 25/05/2022 14:08

@brogan12
I had an external scan 2 weeks ago at what I calculated to be 5+4 (though the Dr thought the embryo was closer to 4/5 weeks) and we could see the gestational sac, we would have seen more but she forgot to tell me to have a full bladder.
I’m going again this Friday to put my mind at rest about the size/age discrepancy as this is my first, and I had a miscarriage a year ago.

dollface22 · 25/05/2022 14:35

Hi can I join please ? I'm 5w5 and due around 20th January! We were trying for baby no.2 after a loss last year!

What symptoms is every one having ? Xx

Jazz234 · 25/05/2022 14:49

Hi All,
Hope you are all doing OK and navigating these crazy times without much stress- I myself am on a rollercoaster of emotion!
I am about 6w6d following a 2nd round of IVF. This will be our first child (fingers crossed!). First scan is 1st June and I just cannot wait to hear whether everything is OK or not. We had 2 embryos transferred so we will also find out if we are expecting multiples!
I am suffering with sickness so bad that at first I thought I must have a bug! Also have a fair bit of heartburn.
Been stalking the thread for a week or so and thought I would finally say hi! :)

281717O · 25/05/2022 16:02

Dropping in and out!
I had some spotting at 5.5 weeks which did worry me, however I had a few spots of light pink blood when I wiped about 3 days ago, yesterday I had brown with a few streaks of red on a panty liner but since it’s just been brown/watery. I thought I was getting a stomach bug yesterday due to sickness I was in bed from 4pm, I’m feeling ok again tomorrow having really mild cramps… anyone experienced this?
I contacted epu but they will not see me unless I’m filling a pad every 30 minutes,
ive had bleeding in all my pregnancy’s but only lasting an evening then going.

Confusedmumof4maybe5 · 25/05/2022 16:43

Sounds like
implant bleeding

281717O · 25/05/2022 16:50

i remember the doctor saying that in my last pregnancy, the bleed was around 7 weeks. However, I just thought different in this pregnancy as I had bleeding around 5 weeks, now again at 7 weeks.
i think we’ll book an early scan next week even though I promised myself I wouldn’t this time round!

Argieb97 · 25/05/2022 16:55

Hi, I found comfort in reading all of these comments. I just have a question for anyone who is able to answer, I’m currently almost 7 weeks pregnant (due 14th) I was woken up this morning by really severe cramping 2 separate occasions 1/2 hours apart and I’m really concerned it’s a MC as I’ve had one before so carry a lot of anxiety this time around, my boobs seem to feel less sore today as well and it’s really worrying me.. has this happened to anyone else and is this normal?

281717O · 25/05/2022 17:06

This was me yesterday, it lasted all day and was convinced I was getting a stomach bug (it’s going round the family)
today my back hurts slightly but nothing else.
my boobs hurt some days not others, I feel bloated and sick some day but not others. I think it’s completely normal!

Waitin · 25/05/2022 19:11

So confused with how many weeks does anyone know how pregnancy is caluculated as far as am aware its LMP or conception date which is measured on scan ??

Waitin · 25/05/2022 19:17

@Argieb97 hope you are doing well am 6 weeks by tomorrow and had lot of cramping from beginning felt so worried like u today I got period like feeling some CM ,nausea and weird all together and sore back which was aweful sometimes wishing u all good luck and I think it’s common but keep an eye on symptom and relax .

281717O · 25/05/2022 19:56

I wish I would of kept a symptom diary in my last pregnancy’s so I wasn’t second guessing everything haha!
nhs calculate from lmp, I had my booking appointment this week (a week early) and I mentioned that I had ovulated late but she said she would still go from first day of miscarriage ‘period’ and dates would be readjusted if needed at 12 week scan

Confusedmumof4maybe5 · 25/05/2022 20:17

How long after you self referred did a. Midwife contact you and how far are you ? I’m anxious

LemonZestDribbles · 25/05/2022 20:20

@Hana89yay on your scan!!! That is wonderful

@Somatronic I bought two books - the Holly Willoughby was one and the other might have been the what you're expecting one. I do remember quite liking the HW one.

@LilyKitten welcome and congrats!

@dollface22 congrats! I'm mainly tired, indigestion and on/off nausea. Oh and my right boob hurts like a mf. How have you been feeling?

@Jazz234 welcome! Very exciting - hope it doesn't feel like an age until your scan

@281717O not experienced myself but I know it can be perfectly normal. A scan might make you feel better though!

@Argieb97 I've had quite bad cramping where it feels like a lightning bolt in my side or groin. I think that's round ligament pain. Is it like that?

roarfeckingroarr · 25/05/2022 20:30

Please may I join? Just found out we're due number 2 on 26 January!

Feels very early to be getting excited but I can't help it. I've booked at early scan for Wednesday 8 June 😀
