I know this is very early but I wanted to start a thread for those with a January 2023 due date.

I got my BFP 2 days ago and am about 4 weeks pregnant today. I already have a little boy born in November 2020 and I’m super excited for him to get a sibling but I know it’s early days and have had 2 early miscarriages in the past so slightly nervous too!

LemonZestDribbles · 17/05/2022 12:06

Welcome all the newbies and congratulations!!

I'm also struggling with sleep. Want to go to bed at 8pm but waking up between 530 and 630. Feeling sicker as the days go on too. My leggings are also a bit tight 🤣🤣

Currently looking at names 🙈

I feel you on the bloating! I've ordered some Lucy and Yak dungarees and if all goes well at my scan next week, I'm going to celebrate by just living in comfy dungarees for the next 7.5months! Haha!

Morning ladies! I am around weeks. Just wondered if anyone else has had random stabby/stitch like pains every so often on one side. They are not painful or uncomfortable and don’t last longer than a few seconds so i’m not overly worried, I’m praying it’s this sticky bean getting cosy! Xx

Yes I’ve had the same! Glad to hear I’m not the only one 😃

Babycakes1989 · 17/05/2022 12:42

@Cat2hop awww ok mines 18th if this all works out okay 🙂

in regards to the sleep thing I’ve been struggling to drop off and then if I wake in the night I’m taking ages to fall back asleep! In the day I’m getting really tired constantly tired and it’s like that over tired feeling at bed time. Also restless leg has made a couple of little appearances !

I'm 5+6 today and other than the insomnia, I literally don't feel pregnant 😂 anyone else? I mean when I first get up I feel slightly nauseous and I keep wrenching but not physically sick and once I've eaten I'm fine 😂 only got to wait another 3 weeks before my early scan, by god times going so slow!

This is 100% exactly me!! 6w1d today & I don't have many symptoms at all, I gag in the morning but nothing comes up because my stomach is empty, but nothing significant! I think it's all normal tbh it's still early. My early scan is on Thursday so 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 everything crossed

brogan12 · 17/05/2022 12:47

@mrsgtobe97 honestly I get worried with so little symptoms but then I have to remind myself I have had no bleeding and no pain so I am probably just overthinking for nothing! Plus when I miscarried last month I was 5+4 days along so I've already passed the dreaded mark! I hope your scan goes okay! You will have to keep us updated!

Yeah exact same as me, I do have small waves of feeling sicky but nothing significant and nothing severe! Yeah I will for sure update everyone, just terrified of bad news and it being a missed miscarriage :(

mrsgtobe97 · 17/05/2022 12:50

@brogan12 it always cuts off mid message! But I'm terrified of it being a missed miscarriage or it hasn't developed and my body hasn't realised, after 2 years of never getting pregnant my head is only thinking the worst!

brogan12 · 17/05/2022 12:56

@mrsgtobe97 definitely just try and relax! I know it's easier said than done. Take each day as it comes and I'm sure everything will be fine at your scan. I bet I'm feeling the same way when it's time for my scan! That anxiety never goes though! Even when they are here!

Yeah I'm trying to, I've had no signs that anything is wrong but you just never know until you get that scan, we are away on holiday a week today and then getting married start of July, so I'm terrified of bad news 😬😬 wish I had an at home ultrasound machine 🤣🤣🤣

mrsgtobe97 · 17/05/2022 13:02

Ultrasound^

brogan12 · 17/05/2022 13:05

@mrsgtobe97 ahhh definitely a busy but positive year for you! ooo trust me it would be my first buy if they did at home ultrasound machines 😂😂 I was never ever this nervous with my first! I announced I was pregnant straight away at 7 weeks with him! I wouldn't dream of doing that this time round!

Cat2hop · 17/05/2022 13:52

@brogan12 ahhaha they kinda do (Google portable ultrasound)... But you prob wouldn't see anything in these early weeks anyway - would def not help the fear - if you aren't trained in how to use it! Would not recommend x

My friend told me last week she was 9 weeks, the day I got my BFP so I was excited to tell her soon and share the journey but today she told me she has MC :(

Somatronic · 17/05/2022 14:09

@mmp22 I don't have any advice but I agree with what @hopingfor23 said. Wishing you all the best with it - hopefully it will all work out for you xx

My symptoms have eased off since I hit six weeks. I'm 6+5 now but there's nothing I can do so I'm just trying to assume all is still well until I have my scan at the IVF clinic next week.

Regarding sleep, I started going to bed 2 hours earlier than usual and it's helped massively. I have to wake up at the crack of dawn every morning to insert a progesterone pessary and my sleep isn't great lately so I rarely fall back to sleep. Going to bed early has been a life-changer! Not ground-breaking I know, but still worth mentioning!

Cat2hop · 17/05/2022 14:21

I have noticed that I've had two good hair days in a row. Anyone else? 😀

babyjellyfish · 17/05/2022 14:26

I'm already freaking out about telling my boss.

I only came back from my last mat leave 6 months ago, we are a small team of five, him, me, a new girl who only joined a few months ago and two others who are both leaving in the next couple of months.

So he already needs to recruit two new people, and if all goes well, in a couple of months I'll be telling him I am pregnant again.

Oh and someone I work with just came to find me about a project I was working on before mat leave which got put on hold and told me it'll be starting back up again in October. But if this pregnancy sticks, I'll be leaving again in December...

I know this isn't my problem but I feel very guilty!

MightyMouse101 · 17/05/2022 14:29

@babyjellyfish Me too! I started back in December after 18 months off with furlough and mat leave so I feel like I've barely been there. He's has 3 children so can't be too annoyed (and he's lovely) but still, it's not a conversation I'm looking forward to.
