I know this is very early but I wanted to start a thread for those with a January 2023 due date.

I got my BFP 2 days ago and am about 4 weeks pregnant today. I already have a little boy born in November 2020 and I’m super excited for him to get a sibling but I know it’s early days and have had 2 early miscarriages in the past so slightly nervous too!

@plantflowersforbees
That sounds about right, my midwife appt is at 9 weeks and dating scan is done at 12 weeks.

Posie100 · 14/05/2022 19:18

@plantflowersforbees
Obviously if you are worried about anything or are concerned about symptoms such as nausea you can always contact the GP for advice.

Dia12 · 14/05/2022 19:23

Hello all, I'm tentatively joining the group as I've just had faint positive on frer at 13dpo…one that I’ve had to panic buy abroad during our holiday!

More terrified than excited right now.

Background: 3x failed ICSIs, 2x chemical pregnancies, lost baby boy @18w in 2020 due to Edwards Syndrome, gave birth to DD in aug 2021.

Wanted to try again sooner rather than later to see if we could make it happen again. I still look at my daughter and wonder how we got here so
to give her a sibling would just be a dream come true!

Fingers crossed for us all. The early days are a worry for everyone, regardless.

plantflowersforbees · 14/05/2022 19:24

@Posie100 thank you so much. I've been spending too much time reading Dr Google and confusing myself! I don't have any concerns, I'm lucky enough that my only symptoms are very tender boobs and a bit of nausea whenever I smell food or coffee haha. Thank you for confirming for me. I hope everything is going smoothly for you.

I've also requested to join the group!

@plantflowersforbees I'm in Scotland too and that's what I had for ds so pretty normal I think. You can contact them ahead if you're concerned about anything - there will also be an epu at your local hospital that you can speak to too :)

@MrsGrealish totally understandable that you're anxious ❤ do you have a scan booked?

@Dia12 congratulations on your bfp and dd. Sorry for everything you've been through though.

Tomorrow is one of my predicted af days 🤞 nothing shows

plantflowersforbees · 14/05/2022 23:39

@LemonZestDribbles thank you so much, that's really reassuring. Wishing you all the best with your pregnancy!

Morning everyone, hope your all okay today! I just had to share my excitement! So last month when I unfortunately miscarried, I was 5 weeks 5 days along, although I knew something was wrong before that because my tests got a lot lighter until you could barely see a line and then the day after I started bleeding

WELL this morning, I'm also 5 weeks 5 days and I've just done another test (even though I promised myself I wouldn't) and it's so much darker than when I done my other test four days ago! Still trying to not get too excited but this lets me have hope! I just had to share with you all!

brogan12 · 15/05/2022 05:54

The tests with the clear blue were taken on the 11th and the cheap green test on its own taken this morning! 🌈🌈

@MrsGrealish Thankyou so so much! 💖

Dia12 · 15/05/2022 06:33

Aw congrats @brogan12! That's wonderful news. Fingers crossed for a healthy & happy 9 months for you x

I, unfortunately have been having bright red spotting, although very light, I do also have some mild cramping so really expecting the worst! Pregnant and then not pregnant all before we end our holiday 😔

brogan12 · 15/05/2022 06:35

@Dia12 ahhh no! I am so so so sorry! Please try not to worry. One thing that helped me is the fact that it's out of our control. There's nothing we could do to change the outcome. I know some people get bleeding and it's totally normal, but I also think you know deep down when somethings not quiet right. I hope your okay, I'm sending hugs to you. ☹️❤️‍🩹

@Dia12 look after yourself.

I've booked an early scan for 7 weeks. Too impatient to wait till 12. I found the 2ww dragged, I can't remember how I coped for the first 12 weeks last time. Really need to try and distract myself as it is too early so start buying anything.

LemonZestDribbles · 15/05/2022 07:46

@Dia12 I hope you're okay. Has the bleeding got heavier? Try not to let it ruin your holiday. It could be that everything's fine and it might not but @brogan12 has some great advice there that there's no controlling it. Sending love ❤️

@brogan12 lovely progression! Congratulations 😍

@Pebblee Congratulations!! Sorry if I missed your post. How are you getting on?

@MrsGrealish I'm definitely going for one again I think. I went about 8/9 weeks last time. So glad I did as lockdown hit 2 weeks later so dh wasn't allowed into our nhs 12 or 20 week scans

So after frer being funny with me (morning faint but stronger in afternoon while One Step tests were super positive) I bought two other brands and tested all three this morning so I could (hopefully) de stress a bit. All three have strong lines and the frer is darker this morning than it has been at all. So relieved 😍 finally accepting that it's true

Due January 2023 ❤️
LemonZestDribbles · 15/05/2022 07:47

@SweetPeaPods so excited for the buying things. Although I have sooooo much stuff from ds already so shouldn't really 😅

fancyfrogs · 15/05/2022 08:30

Tentative hello everyone... 😊
I had very faint bfp yesterday (was convinced it was an evap!) but confirmed this morning with a frer.
11dpo but couldn't help myself from testing! Think I'm a bit in shock. Dates put EDD around 22nd January.
Second pregnancy, 1yo DS. Ive requested to join the fb group (also in the November 2020 one along with a few of you!!) X

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 15/05/2022 08:45

Congratulations to all of the BFPs! It’s lovely that there are so many of us on this thread. I’ve had a busy couple of weeks so have been reading but not posting.

I was just wondering if anyone had any tips for feeling anxious? Every slight change in symptoms makes me worry at the moment and I just don’t know what’s normal and what isn’t! I have no reason to be so anxious but it’s my first pregnancy (in case that wasn’t obvious…!) and I’m a bit of a worrier at the best of times.

Badhairday101 · 15/05/2022 08:53

Can I join please. I had a positive test last week and am due the 14th Jan. I’m in shock but very happy. I’m 41 so worried about things going wrong but trying to enjoy it and take each day at a time. Congratulations to everyone else.

Hana89 · 15/05/2022 08:56

@PurpleSpottedLeopard congratulations on your BFP 🎊💖 from reading this thread I've realised that no matter your history, there is anxiety - particularly in the first trimester! It is such a wild and exciting time but also very scary too! Do you have friends and family who you can share the news with? That might help alleviate some worries. Or perhaps journalling? I know it is hard but try to enjoy this special time. Take it one day at a time and give yourself as much compassion as you can xxx

PurpleSpottedLeopard · 15/05/2022 09:01

@Hana89 thank you for your lovely reply. I told my mum this weekend and that’s helped a bit. I just hate not knowing whether everything is ok.
