@FlowerJ so sorry to hear this. Sending you love and take care ❤️

AG96 · 04/05/2022 15:12

Got my 12 week scan letter for 18th May. My EDD is a bit confusing to me... LMP says EDD of 26/11/22. Early scan at EPAU says 9/12/22. I've heard of babies catching up so wonder where I'll be measuring on the 18th!

Anyone had it where they've caught up from early scans?

baby2in2022 · 04/05/2022 15:32

@AG96 not too long for you to wait. I've not had my letter through yet.

I'd say you'll probably be similar to the EPAU scan. Although measurements are really small at this stage so can easily change.

LMP only seems to work out about right if you ovulate on day 14. Although saying that with my son my LMP put me due on May 10th but I knew I didn't ovulate until day 16 or 17 so thought I'd be put back a few days at the scan. My 10 week scan put my due date at May 10th so spot on the LmP date and my 12 week scan bought me forward a xx

baby2in2022 · 04/05/2022 15:33

@AG96 it cut off for some reason. I was put forward an extra day at my 12 week scan xx

AG96 · 04/05/2022 16:51

@baby2in2022 I have no idea when I ovulated as I wasn't tracking it and my periods had been irregular but my last couple prior to getting pregnant seemed more regular... So will be really interesting to see where I measure on the 18th! Interesting how with your son it meant suggested you ovulated at day 13 then? Thank you for sharing xx

DogsAndGin · 04/05/2022 17:50

@FlowerJ sorry to hear you’ve have a worrying week. Wishing you well xx

DogsAndGin · 04/05/2022 17:53

Welcome @Kaybubs haha aren’t kids great?! Yes I was very nervous before my early scan, but it was all plain sailing for me, and thankfully I didn’t require the transvaginal scan! Best of luck to you

BuchananBaby · 04/05/2022 17:54

Sorry I've not really been about will hopefully catch up shortly! Dealing with the nightmare that is my daughters passport and we go on holiday in less than 2 weeks 🙈

Feel like life has been consumed by that so not thought about the baby much which is awful! 10+1 today and nothing to report except really tired and lack of motivation 😂 looking forward to getting my scan date though hope it won't take too long 🤞 hope everyone's well 🥰

Tofu35 · 04/05/2022 18:04

Rough day for me today, usually I work from home but today I needed to go into the office and then visiting some colleagues in another department. Felt so nauseous that I started feeling really anxious and panicked- husband had to drive me there and back because I couldn't stop thinking that I'd be sick while I was driving on the motorway.

Now I'm home, and to treat myself for getting through today, I've ordered a burrito. Hope tomorrow is a bit easier.

RSmamaa · 04/05/2022 18:29

Thanks everyone. Have been there 1.5 hours and now bloody starving and on the verge of passing out. They have taken bloods and if HCG is high enough they will book a scan

Noodle87 · 04/05/2022 18:40

Is anybody experiencing evening sickness rather than morning sickness? Been that way for the last few days for me now.

I still haven't heard from anybody about any appointments after self referral, been the 28 days now and my email said to ring if I don't gear anything, so going to try ringing tomorrow if I get any time during the day.

baby2in2022 · 04/05/2022 19:19

@AG96 yes that's right would have been cd13. It definitely wasn't. I think a lot of it is down to the sonographers accuracy and maybe depends on implantation. My friends sons due date was a week ahead of when she thought she had ovulated. He was born a week late on the day she thought he was due. Babies come in all sizes don't they so it's never that accurate. They arrive when they're ready. It's always nice to be further than you think though as the first 12 weeks drag

@Noodle87 I only had evening sickness last pregnancy it was quite handy as didn't affect work at all. Ridiculous that it's called morning sickness

@RSmamaa hope your bloods comes back soon being in limbo must be so stressful

@Tofu35 sounds a stressful day. Glad you got through it. Enjoy your food. Sounds delicious

@BuchananBaby hope the passport comes back in time for you. Time is definitely going faster for me the second time around

Tofu35 · 04/05/2022 19:50

Hope you've been seen by now @RSmamaa x

lovesT · 04/05/2022 19:53

@Noodle87 mine varies, usually in the morning when I first wake up and move but I also get it when I'm hungry and sometimes in the evening recently! But it has started to get a bit better, not as strong as it was. I agree it's silly that it's called morning sickness as it happens at all different times!

stuntbubbles · 04/05/2022 20:12

@Noodle87 First pregnancy it was 24/7 and would strike at random, not limited to the morning at all. This pregnancy it’s currently mornings-only: I think related to hunger and exhaustion because I’m struggling with insomnia, a snoring DP, and a 3yo DD who has nightmares. I’m wrung out by morning. I’m fine in the evening because I’m doing very little work at work and having many many lunchtime naps

Noodle87 · 04/05/2022 20:53

@lovesT I wish mine were related to hunger, but it seems worse after I've had a full meal - I might have to have smaller meals but more regularly perhaps if it continues

@stuntbubbles you might have a point about it being related to being tired - I'm drained after a day at work which isn't like me at all!

lovesT · 04/05/2022 20:55

@Noodle87 I definitely find eating smaller more frequent meals/ snacks helps me feel better. I can't seem to eat big meals now as I get full too quickly! I think digestion slows down which might explain it.

TradedAtlanta · 04/05/2022 21:05

I've been having some nausea this time round which is an unwelcome change from my first pregnancy. I'm finding it's worse after I eat (but I still can't stop myself eating big meals 😋).

RSmamaa · 04/05/2022 21:06

@baby2in2022 @Tofu35 I went home after a cervical examination (dr said everything looks perfect up there) and will get the bloods back tomorrow. If they fall within a certain range they will book me an early scan, if not I have to wait and have more bloods 48 hours after todays to see if theres an increase 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

RSmamaa · 04/05/2022 21:07

@TradedAtlanta I'm the opposite and barely getting any nausea which worries me. I notice I start to feel sick around 2-3 hours after I've eaten so it's snack snack snack here!

baby2in2022 · 04/05/2022 21:26

@RSmamaa positive news so far. I'm sure you're bloods will be fine for a scan and then you'll can get some peace of mind. Xx

5dogsandcounting · 04/05/2022 21:31

FlowerJ · 03/05/2022 23:02

Repeat scan at EPU tomorrow. Pretty sure I know what they are going to say. I've been consistently bleeding for over a week now. Labour type cramping in the evenings for the past few days and passed a few small clots. Sad knowing my journey is already ending.

So sorry 😞 xx

Bluebonnet3 · 04/05/2022 22:22

Hi all! I'd like to join you. I'm 7 weeks today, and yesterday I had an early scan that showed everything is right on target, for now. I have another scan in 2 weeks to check progress.

This has been a long road so far (I'm 42, no kids yet) and my DH and I are trying to stay cautiously optimistic without getting too far ahead of ourselves. I had an mmc last year in Oct after my 2nd round of ivf. (First round bfn.) Since then we have done 3x egg collections ('embryo batching') so that we could do genetic testing. Currently I have on board one of our 2 frozen embryos tested as chromosomally normal.

Anyway, hoping to stick around for a while! 🙂

Sdoubleyou · 05/05/2022 00:32

@Noodle87, I've also been getting it afternoons/evenings. Actually every day for over a week. I'm 8w today. I'm not throwing up, but very nauseated. I guess it's good that it's not in the mornings. It's hard enough to drag myself out of bed as it is.

Graceybaby · 05/05/2022 06:24

Anyone else suffering with bad insomnia? I can't remember the last time I had a good nights sleep.. I'm up all night tossing and turning then morning comes and feel like I could sleep for days.. but obviously with a 4 year old and work that's not going to happen! I had to take a few days off work last week as I just physically couldn't do it.. and this week I'm having to really push through and make myself go to work and its making me ill.. feeling so drained and emotional.

Is there anything you can do or take for insomnia if you're pregnant?
