@LC84 it's so strange isnt it. I'm 7+1 today and my nausea has kicked in full force but not much throwing up so far thankfully. I'm exhausted all of the time though and finding I keep waking up earlier than I usually would.

As for everyone else I hope everything is going well with you all, I feel I have nothing to speak on yet with it still being so early it's just a waiting game 💕

elliejay9 · 14/05/2022 13:08

@Horriblewoman I'm so sorry for your loss :(( my first pregnancy ended in the same way it's awful but I pray any future pregnancies go amazingly for you, look after yourself 🖤

tasha4eva10 · 14/05/2022 13:17

Afternoon ladies, well had our private scan this morning and everything is perfect! We got to see the heartbeat beating away perfectly 🙂. Measuring exactly how we thought so still 7w 2d. Baby was resting their head on the yolk sack and relaxing away haha. So glad I can settle and rest a little now. NHS scan in 2 weeks time so hopefully get a clearer photo!

@Horriblewoman I'm so sorry for your loss x x

Laughingmole · 14/05/2022 17:20

@Horriblewoman sorry to hear that, look after yourself xx

@tasha4eva10 your scan looks great. You can see so much at just 7 weeks!
I have my 12 week scan in 8 days and I can’t wait to see how much baby has grown since my 9 week scan.

DrummerMama · 14/05/2022 17:30

Hi everyone,
Had a lot on with work the past few days and just catching up on the messages now. Sending you all positive vibes.
RE the chats about symptoms, I'm 9+5 today and since the start of the week, the nausea is now only happening if I don't eat enough carbs. Other symptoms are tiredness, bloating and the odd headache. The biggest change this week is a ridiculous jump in hormones so I'm turning into a pregnant version of a bridezilla.
RE scans and tests, we went through ICSI privately so I had a 7 week scan as standard with the treatment, but I'm now in the NHS queue going forward. After self-referring to Community Mid Wives via phone/email and filling out a form at 8 weeks, I heard nothing for almost week, so decided to chase up my hospital about the appointment. They said I was next on the literal paper pile so I was able to confirm my appointment over the phone for 11 weeks. No appointment yet for my 12 week scan, so am expecting that to happen more around 13 or 14 weeks if wait times stay the same. Instead of waiting and worrying we have decided to spend the money and book my IONA tests and reassurance scan with our fertility clinic in week 11. Means if all is good, we can finally tell our families around week 12. Our fertility clinic has been fantastic and although the expense is high, the piece of mind has been priceless. If you are worrying and can spare the expense, go private for a reassurance scan and/or bloods to put your mind at ease. Goodness knows we have enough to worry about! Also, our clinic says the timelines for scans and tests are guidelines so a week or two here and there will not make a difference, but if you're worried, don't hold it in, contact the NHS, GP or local clinic for advice x

@RSmamaa and @Mommabear20 I'm glad it's not just mine 🙈 she's away to stay with her gran tonight so I can have a wee break from it all 😁

@Tofu35 when I was pregnant with DD our dog became obsessed with me, he's actually DP's dog and had him years before he met me and he's never actually realised I gave birth he's followed me everywhere including the bathroom since July 2020 when I found out I was pregnant 😂 he's not a huge fan of DD though anytime she goes near him he just walks away but he's getting old and just can't be bothered with her 🙈

Everyone wish me luck we're going to a eurovision party tonight (totally not my thing) and I'll be sober 😭

DogsAndGin · 14/05/2022 19:12

Ahhh symptoms. So grateful to not be sick, and sorry to those of you who are suffering. I’m exhausted, hungry, still constipated, to the point of GP involvement now, and I’ve got just the one painful boob 😂

And a new symptom - incredibly attracted to DH. I mean, of course I always find him attractive, but today I found myself staring at him sleeping this morning thinking, ‘my god! He’s beautiful!’ He caught me looking 😅 anyone else?

My dog hasn’t got a clue I’m pregnant. She’s always been very attached to me, and doesn’t particularly like it when I play with friends’ children. I had a two year old on my lap last week doing some drawing, and the dog squeezed on behind her (she’s not a small dog!) I don’t think she’s going to be too impressed with the new baby - she likes her peace and quiet.

AG96 · 14/05/2022 19:21

Anyone DTD since finding out? Did the first time today and just feel so nervous and guilty in case it's done harm. Feeling crampy in my pelvic area and just worried

Tofu35 · 14/05/2022 19:42

@AG96 feeling too bloated and nauseous for any of that! Think he tried to give me a cuddle last night but my boobs were so sore that I said he should try again in a few weeks 😂

Sdoubleyou · 14/05/2022 19:53

I survived my work conference! Although I'm pretty sure everyone now knows since my bloat bump was impossible to hide. I'm normally very flat stomached so no one will really be surprised when I finally announce. I have another conference in a week and a half and needed to get a cocktail dress since nothing fits. I've bought an elegant black shapeless bag. Thankfully the boxy style is in right now. Have a scan on Monday. I'm really hoping it goes well, the early scan was lovely. Hope everyone is well and my heart is with those who've recently had bad news.

AG96 · 14/05/2022 20:21

@Tofu35 that did make me chuckle 😂. First time I've felt like it since finding out and I'm 11 weeks! DP jumped at the chance bless him 😂
Cramping has stopped now and got a scan on Wednesday so looking forward to that 😊

hopefulsunshine11 · 15/05/2022 12:56

I don't feel pregnant at all the last couple of days! Only 11 days to go until my scan! Sooo nervous I feel sick! I don't have any symptoms apart from can't be bothered doing anything and just want to lay on bed watching tv lol.

Anyone else have scanxiety for their 12 week scan that's not had an early scan? 😰

Meowcat89 · 15/05/2022 13:28

@hopefulsunshine11 I've had 2 early scans and still have scanxiety! My 12 week one is booked for this Friday. I'll only be 11w 4 then though.

Hope everyone is doing ok and my heart goes to anyone who isn't :( x

siobhanmt247 · 15/05/2022 13:47

@hopefulsunshine11 i have scanziety too. Mines not until June 9th. I don't want an early scan after a few bad experiences

PinkFizz1 · 15/05/2022 14:51

Hey guys,

a wee update from me as I haven’t posted for a while. Was a bit worried as id been feeling a lot more ‘human’ for a few days/maybe a week or so. Couldn’t wait for my NHS scan so went for private one today.
oh my god I’m so glad I did! Measuring another day ahead, baby looks like an ACTUAL BABY now instead of a blob! We could see the nose, Cupid’s bow and loads of wriggling around!

Just to say if anyone is experiencing loss of symptoms around 10/10 and a half weeks don’t panic! It’s not always a bad thing. 🥰🥰

Tofu35 · 15/05/2022 17:07

Back from the wedding fair, super nauseous at times and almost burst into tears at the sight of the little flower girls. Maybe slightly hormonal today!

DogsAndGin · 15/05/2022 18:38

@PinkFizz1 that’s lovey news! I finally have my booking appointment on Tuesday and I'm mainly thrilled to be taking a half day off! Yessss!!!

@AG96 not been any DTD for us, although I’d like to! I suffer from UTIs and we just don’t want to take the risk of needing antibiotics. It’s going to be a looong 7 months! 🤣

PinkFizz1 · 15/05/2022 18:50

@DogsAndGin thanks! good luck for your booking appointment, how far gone will you be by then?

feistymumma · 15/05/2022 19:20

Hello all,

Can I join please, 10w6 days due 5th December, baby number 5. Will have two under 2 - I am bricking it.

lifechanginglemoncake · 15/05/2022 19:42

Hi @Meowcat89 I'm with you on the scanxiety. Mine is on 6 June and I'm quite anxious especially as symptoms seem to be improving (I'm 10 weeks now).

We're not going for an early scan. I didn't last time either even though I was a bit anxious and tome was seriously dragging.

I decided against it because I know myself and I know it will only help for about 24 hours and then I'll be anxious again. Nothing against those who go for it, I just don't think it will help me all that much at this stage.

Hope the time passes quickly for us all and we get good news at any scans coming up.

DogsAndGin · 15/05/2022 22:08

@PinkFizz1 I’ll be 9+3, they forgot to book me in so I had to chase them! 😅

tasha4eva10 · 16/05/2022 00:38

Evening ladies. I had a busy day today taking my daughter to a farm we spent around 4hrs there had a picnic etc it was nice however I come home and I was beyond exhausted I fell asleep and now it's 12.38am and I can't sleep 🤦🏻‍♀️. How's everyone else doing?

littlecontis · 16/05/2022 07:45

Morning everyone, I've been taking some time out of the thread as I got really anxious after reading about some ladies who have unfortunately lost their little beans. My scan is next Friday and so I will be taking time out until then, hopefully will be back with good news. Stay optimistic everyone ❤️
