Hi everyone and congratulations! I tested positive at the weekend, my app tells me I'm 5 weeks + 4. My last period was 5 March but I didn't ovulate until 23, so getting a range of due dates!

This will be my second baby, first was born in May 2020 so was a bit of an odd end to my pregnancy and introduction to parenthood!

So far no symptoms other than slightly sore boobs and mood swings.

I'm embarrassed to say this but also feeling a little daunted at the prospect of a December baby.. I knew it could happen of course as we'd been trying for a few months, but decided if it was meant to be it would be. Now it's happening I'm just a bit anxious about the logistics! I think my hormones are adding to my worries here..!

We're also off on holiday next week so praying my as symptoms stay mild!

Just catching up it's been an odd night! DP is away on a stag do and I am an awful cook, just came to bed and realised I had some crisps and a bag of flips for dinner and now I'm hungry but cba getting up 😂

I think my baby will be born in November, when I was pregnant with my daughter I knew what date she'd be born and I was right! I have a date in my head for this baby so we'll see if I'm right or was just lucky 😂

@Amyness congratulations! Don't worry you're not the only one worrying about the logistics of it all, I am too. Hormones are making it so much worse but I'm a natural worrier any way 🙈

Anyone ever had a massage off their partner in the first trimester? Might sound daft but ive just had a neck/shoulder massage off my OH and then read afterwards that it should be avoided in first trimester. Cue all the panicking 🙈😖

Hey everyone! I am quite far behind a lot of you (just 4+1 today) but wondering if anyone remembers when they got a clear blue digital 2-3 weeks result? I got 1-2 on Monday, 2 days before period was due. Im now one day after (15dpo) and wanting to test again but too scared to do another Digi in case it's stl 1-2 😅
I think I've got the POAS addiction, I've done 7 tests since last Saturday 😅

I had a chemical pregnancy and early MC in Jan so think this has made me more anxious. Trying to just be positive! Have very sore nipples. Am still breastfeeding my 19 month old and man it hurts! So taking this as a good sign.

Also a bit of cramping - v mild - and tiredness but that's it so far.

@lovesT how are you doing??

Also for the due dates, I'm due 21 December (winter solstice!) 🌙

@Skylark1990 I'm doing okay 😊 I'm still having some brown discharge this morning which is annoying but I took a pregnancy test this morning as the midwife worried me a it about sending a pregnancy test to take before the scan next week and within seconds it was so dark and only got darker within a couple of minutes so I'm taking that as a good sign. I think I'll keep doing it every day/ every other day so I know what's going on and don't feel too nervous about the one she's sending me for next week.

My symptoms are still strong too so I really hope all of that is a good sign! Also no fresh blood (so far 🤞🙏) but old blood so 🙏🙏

Congratulations to everyone due in December. i am due on 16th according to the NHS website with my first! i am itching to tell my family but want to wait until our first scan. how quickly does the midwife get in touch with you to book you in for your first scan? i think i am 4 weeks pregnant! also no symptoms yet apart from being tired all the time.. when did everyone’s symptoms start to kick in. I keep testing everyday hoping my positive gets darker but it has been a faint positive since 9DPO (now 16DPO). sorry for all the info, i haven’t told anyone apart from my husband!!!

@mbp22 I think procedure depends on your health board. Where I am, I had to call a central number and the call handler booked me into my first scan and booking appointment. I know others on here are still waiting to hear back about their dates.

I’m the same @mbp22 - we’re away with DHs family currently for Easter and I’d love to tell them but we’ve agreed not!

why do they make you wait so long for the first scan.. it is torture 😭 hate hiding it from everyone!

@mmp22 haha it's rubbish, because first trimester is when all the symptoms kick in, and you feel rubbish (but have to pretend you're totally fine).

I'm telling some family this weekend (I'm meant to be hosting my mum's birthday dinner so I need them to know that I'm not being rude but I get sleepy early!). Also, for us, it's good for a few people to know in case anything was to happen so theres support there if needed!

I had a dream last night that my baby is a girl! Not that a dream means much. Boobs are back to being quite sore today. 8 days until my early scan, I cannot wait.

I have been experiencing nausea in the morning and couldn't even bring myself to have a sip of water. I had little dinner last night and thought would be a good idea to just have some bread this morning. Feeling better now (not vomited yet and hope I can keep food down)

Has anyone else had an issue leaving the house? I may sound mad but I feel so nauseous I'm actually scared to drive incase I'm sick or faint - I know it's just anxiety but I've not left the house for 4 days now 😳

@buchananbaby I definitely find being in the car makes my nausea worse. I went through half a bag of crackers the other day when I was a passenger in a car! I find humbugs/werthers originals are good for helping ease the feelings of sickness (when you can't bring out a packet of dry crackers!)

@Buchananbaby yes I'm delaying going to do our food shopping this morning as I can barely get dressed as I feel so rough. Doing a sticker book with my energetic toddler instead.

@Tofu35 yes I second Werther's Originals! Had them in my first pregnancy and got them yesterday and they're perfect!

@lovesT so sorry youve had some brown discharge, I only just saw your previous posts about it! Really good it has stayed brown and the test was so dark tho. Definitely sounds like things are ok but can understand your worry. Hang in there!

Yes I am doing ok, obviously STL very early days and yes it's a worrying time. Just hoping things progress 🤞 trying not to worry too much. Feel super tired and quite emotional and ofc have the sore boobs.

I'm on holiday ATM which is anice distraction, I feel for everyone who is having to work through nausea! I guess that may be me next week 😅🙂

Perfect I'm going to go to the shop round the corner for them before I drive, it was so bad yesterday I ran out of Oat milk for my toddler and my mum had to get it on her way home from work. I have to go drop my daughter at her grans though so no getting out of that, think I may walk in and burst out crying, abit of an emotional wreck tbh 🙈

@Saza185 I've been having similar symptoms on and off for the last few days. I also feel quite tight around my lower abdomen and a little gassy 😅

I'm still very early on, though. My period would be due this coming Fri/Sat so still sitting tight!
