I'm 6+4 today and so far no nausea, thank God. I am very much not looking forward to that part of pregnancy. I've got everything crossed that stays away as long as possible. Spoke to my mum today who said her pregnancies were pretty easy, minimal nausea or other issues, of course her last was nearly 30 years ago but fingers crossed there's some genetics at play and I can avoid anything too severe!

Otherwise main symptoms are just so much bloating (bah), strong sense of smell, the boobs are only ever so slightly sensitive and I'm maybe a touch tired, but nothing I'd think much of if I wasn't on the lookout for symptoms.

That being said as much as I'm over the bloating now, I'll take that over nausea anyday!

@Noodle87 My area is the same, called GP and they just said there's a self referral form online. So I filled that out and a midwife called the next day to set up the 8-week meeting. So may be worth doing that anyway in the meantime.

Elleare · 13/04/2022 14:05

Hi all.

I'm hoping I can jump onto this, i just found out I'm pregnant with my first on Monday!
I too am due on the 20th Dec just like @watchingtheflowersgrow :) Could somebody add me onto your lovely list.

I have filled out all forms for a midwife to call me back but haven't heard anything yet. So getting a little nervous.
Also, the only symptoms I have had really are some cramps and sore boobs. No morning sickness just yet.

xx

blh23 · 13/04/2022 14:23

Hey ladies!

Hoping I can join this thread. Tested positive for #2 the other day so very early days but hopefully due date will be around 21st December 🎄

Other than sore and achy boobs, I'm all good. Suffered with morning sickness in my last pregnancy but nothing as of yet. I get married in 30 days so fingers crossed the sickness stays at bay! 😂

Looking forward to chatting with my fellow December gang x

PinkLemonade03 · 13/04/2022 14:35

Hey everyone,

After being so concerned over how "fine" I felt, the nausea finally hit over the weekend and I've barely been able to eat or drink ever since without throwing it back up - I really regret saying I wanted the symptoms to start 🥲😂

Had my early scan today though and we saw a little heartbeat! Turns out I'm a couple days further along than I initially thought, measuring at 6+6.

I disappeared off the list again, so I'll update that with my new EDD.

I actually managed to get through to the GP and they're going to have a doctor call me later today - hopefully nothing, but the receptionist was lovely and assured me I'm not a time waster

Sera123 · 13/04/2022 14:50

So exciting people are starting to see heartbeats on early scans though! @PinkLemonade03

We are probably not going to do an early scan after all, initially I was thinking i would wait until a scan to tell people but the midwife said she would wait until 8 weeks as before that can be tricky to see much even if all is well and I was worried that would be worse if it turns out they couldn't see much! But then even 8 weeks is a long time with my Dad being so ill, so just decided we'd go ahead and tell our parents ASAP and everyone else after the 12-week scan.

Such a long wait though!!

AfterBathingAtBaxters · 13/04/2022 15:02

@DogsAndGin @Tofu35 @Buchananbaby
Thanks, I'm very excited after such a long time of trying. Fingers crossed it will stick. Not sure I can wait until Saturday for another test 😅

@LolaJ87 Depending on how I calculate it Christmas eve or Christmas Day, believe it or not 🙈

PinkFizz1 · 13/04/2022 15:04

@Noodle87 fingers crossed for you please let us know what they say x

@PinkLemonade03 aaahh this is so exciting! And reassuring! I’m exactly the same now af 5+3 just WISHING I had symptoms so badly so it’s good to know I could possibly be regretting what I wish for soon! Lovely news about your scan too, that must’ve been amazing to see!

Noodle87 · 13/04/2022 15:06

Just to update - spoke to my GP and he reassured me that it all sounded normal enough, and that as I'm not 6 weeks yet they wouldn't be able to scan me anyway.
He's said if I get any more or heavier bleeded and/or pain to call again, so fingers crossed that's the end of it.

Thanks for everyone's advice, so nice to have people reassure me that I wasn't overreacting!

Hi thanks for starting the new thread!

Had mini panic attack today as my symptoms seem to have eased off... I don't know how I am going to get through 9 months if I panic over every little thing!

Also work is already a killer! Anyone else got physically demanding jobs and wondering how to get through it? Lol! X

Saza185 · 13/04/2022 19:05

Thanks for adding me! Can I ask if anyone else is experiencing a stitch like pain low in the abdomen? The NHS website is quite reassuring and says it's most likely just ligaments stretching.
I hope everyone is doing well!

embob993 · 13/04/2022 20:14

@PinkLemonade03 eek! Congratulations 😍 that's such exciting news! Does it all feel real now?!

embob993 · 13/04/2022 20:23

@Amphibian94 Yes!! I work on a stroke unit and it's lots of heavy handling and I'm soo wary! It's also difficult because not everybody knows yet so I must look like I'm not putting much welly into anything 🙈 it's so hard not to go on automatic isn't it. We had to lift someone in an emergency last week and I jumped straight in and my boss told me off!

HayleyBean · 13/04/2022 20:30

Hey everyone, I had my BFP last Monday so currently 5 weeks exactly with an EDD of 14th Dec. Bit of a shocker as it's our first month trying but excited and terrified all at once. I had some bad cramps last week and for the last 3 days my boobs have hurt so much. Almost like they're bruised and tender. Waves of nausea have hit today as well! Looking forward to chatting with you all :)

embob993 · 13/04/2022 20:52

@HayleyBean welcome! Congratulations momma! All those symptoms are sounding good 😁 👶 x

Noodle87 · 13/04/2022 20:59

Definitely is! Will probably still feel anxious about everything until I have a scan, but it was nice to be reassured!
