baby2in2022 yes I'm hoping to be prepared for Xmas by September which is so unlike me I'm usually wrapping Xmas eve but I've got to be super organised this year!!
BuchananBaby I feel the mum guilt today I've felt so tired I've been on the sofa most of the day while my dds amused themselves I feel bad I've not done much with them today.
I'm so sorry watchingtheflowersgrow take care of your self xx

BuchananBaby · 24/04/2022 21:27

@Sunshine92 if you add me on fb (screenshot on page29) I'll add you to the fb group 🥰

@Teaandbiscuits22 it's so hard isn't it! Hoping this all passes soon 🤞❤️

Chuckem15 · 24/04/2022 21:36

Hello! Got my BFP last Monday, due 23rd or 24th December. How do I join the Facebook group? Not good with mumsnet at all. It’s taken me all afternoon to find this most recent thread 🤦🏻‍♀️ Part of a Facebook group for DS and it’s been fab! Thanks! Xx

lovesT · 24/04/2022 21:40

@BuchananBaby I feel the mum guilt, yesterday was lovely to spend some time with her whilst I somehow had a bit if energy but I'm so tired most of the time. We have a trampoline in our new garden which she loves but I'm not sure bouncing is all that great! So I'll go on there for a bit with her as she really wants me to but can't be as crazy on there haha. We can I let do what we can manage x

rj11 · 24/04/2022 21:43

Hi!! due 24th dec…. How do I join the Facebook group?

KokoNights · 25/04/2022 09:11

@watchingtheflowersgrow - I'm so sorry that happened. Lots of love to you and take good care of yourself.

@LolaJ87 - oh gosh, your diet sounds like mine (maybe I could incorporate some melon too). I have been told that because we're taking the pregnancy vitamins, it doesn't matter as much if we're not eating the most nutritious foods! Hope you get some respite from the sickness soon!

@Tofu35 - I'm so with you on the bloating. Virtually none of my clothes save pyjamas feel comfortable! I think I'm going to have to try and wear dresses where possible as tight trousers is a no no.

@Noodle87 and @pulfy - Hope you guys survive the working week! We are pretty fortunate with all the bank holidays this spring / early summer!

LolaJ87 · 25/04/2022 09:19

@KokoNights yeah apparently it's not such a big deal at this point, just eat what you can. I'm not going to worry about it at the moment anyway.... Dinner last night was a chip sandwich 😅

I have no idea how I'm going to get through this work week. I feel disgusting. Working from home today and laying low, but I have to visit the office at some point... 🙁

hopefulsunshine11 · 25/04/2022 10:15

Hey ladies, I'm starting to panic and just need reassurance. I'm 8 weeks today and been getting period type cramps and a bit of pain not too severe though. I haven't had this since I was about 5 weeks. It's making me feel anxious, it is normal to still have these pains and twinges at this stage isn't it?

I just feel really rubbish and emotional today and like everything is going to fall apart again 😢😢. I keep going to the toilet to check.

LolaJ87 · 25/04/2022 10:22

@hopefulsunshine11 I've been getting those cramps on and off the whole time, and everything looked fine at my scan on Friday. I'm close to your dates too (8+2). It's just your uterus stretching to make room, baby is probably having a growth spurt now which is why you're feeling it again 🙂

hopefulsunshine11 · 25/04/2022 10:28

Thanks @LolaJ87 .. I'm just such a worrier, especially after having a MMC at 10 weeks. I am a really anxious person and constantly think the worse. I didn't have these cramps last time so I'm hoping it's a good sign! 🙏.

Only 4 weeks to wait for scan!

LolaJ87 · 25/04/2022 10:35

@hopefulsunshine11 would an early scan put your mind at ease maybe? For me it was worth every penny to see that everything is ok. I'm a worrier too and I needed to see for myself that everything was ok. If that's not the right approach for you, you can try to keep in mind that things are so much more likely to go right this time than wrong, and that today you are pregnant and everything is as it should be ❤

3monkeybars · 25/04/2022 10:49

I can't believe I'm saying this but - I'm pregnant!! We've been trying for a year so I've been a lurker on the pregnancy/conception boards, we just booked an appointment to discuss IVF (I'm almost 37) so I am absolutely thrilled. According to my dates we'll be due around 29th December. Lovely to be here with you all - I'm so happy

Haxeri · 25/04/2022 11:00

Congratulations!

I've been hit with my first food aversion today...every day this year so far I've eaten a chicken salad for lunch, but today the mere thought of putting a salad leaf in my mouth makes me feel sick.

LolaJ87 · 25/04/2022 11:16

@3monkeybars congratulations! What lovely news.

@Haxeri I'm getting more aversions by the day - be prepared/forewarned 😫It started with just bananas and now it's all meat, most sauces, anything with strong flavours etc. 3 weeks ago I was eating so much salad and now I haven't so much as looked at a leaf in over a week.

Does anyone hate the smell of their fridge (even though everything in there is fresh)?

3monkeybars · 25/04/2022 11:20

Congratulations to you all too!! I keep having spontaneous cries - how on earth I'm going to get through the next 7ish months at work when all I want to do is eat cake, nap, and google baby things is beyond me

Graceybaby · 25/04/2022 12:12

Congratulations!!! @3monkeybars Welcome!

I've had no food aversions yet... I literally feel no different! I'm 5+1weeks so still early days.. I was the same with my son though, zero symptoms at all the whole time. Although I'm definitely very tired atm but I have a 4 year old to run around after this time so that's probably a big factor!

buzz91 · 25/04/2022 12:30

Congratulations @3monkeybars !

Very sad to read about watchingtheflowersgrow, I don’t want to tag, but if you read this I hope you’re well and have lots of support!

Symptom spotting wise, my sense of smell is heightened - I can smell horrid things everywhere

RSmamaa · 25/04/2022 13:11

6 weeks tomorrow and wondering when I'll stop POAS 😅

@hopefulsunshine11 I'm 8+1 today and also having very mild cramps and twinges, I remember having the same with my daughter and I know it was after 8 weeks as I didn't see the midwife until 8 weeks and remember asking her about it. She said it's normal and just everything stretching. I've had some today after it mostly calming down and am now sitting down which seems to have helped! I had hardly stopped all morning so maybe it's my body saying sit down!! I hope that reassures you a bit, I still worry too but I definitely had this with my daughter. X

PinkFizz1 · 25/04/2022 15:37

Afternoon all, I haven't been on for a few days so haven't had a chance to catch up with all the messages.

I have my first scan tomorrow and I am having anxiety (or scanxiety!) I am trying to be logical, that nothing has gone wrong up til now, I've had no bleeding or pain or even spotting. That the odds are likely in my favour. Etc etc. And yet I still can't imagine going to the scan, seeing a strong heartbeat and measuring around the correct dates! What is wrong with me? I just want to enjoy it, but it just all doesn't feel real and I think that's part of the problem.

Tomorrow is going to be a LONGGGGG day! 😥

LolaJ87 · 25/04/2022 15:44

It's easier said than done but try and keep busy in the meantime @PinkFizz1

I think it would be stranger to not be an anxious mess before your first scan! Have fingers and toes crossed for you for tomorrow and looking forward to your update afterwards ❤

lovesT · 25/04/2022 16:13

@PinkFizz1 I think your feelings are fairly normal! It's hard not to worry and before you see something it's hard to believe! I'm sure you'll be fine, what time is your scan? We'll all be waiting for an update 😊 definitely agree, keep busy and hopefully it will come quickly.

I've been sooo tired today and felt quite a few "growing pains" kind of things, my mum has come over and has been in the garden with my daughter so I had an afternoon nap! So good 😅 I don't know how it would work if I hadn't told her as I can't hide how tired I am! I felt like tiredness got a bit better but it has hit me today (8+1). Still off pretty much everything but feeling quite excited about tuna and sweetcorn in jacket potatoes with loads of butter and cheese tonight (sorry if that's the last thing someone else wants at the moment 😅)

Hope you're all okay xx

Graceybaby · 25/04/2022 16:25

@lovesT That sounds so good, wish I could have an afternoon nap! I'm exhausted alllll the time.. don't remember being this tired first time round.. think I had a lot less going on back then tbf! Also having a few 'growing pains' can definitely feel it when I get in or out the car getting on and off the sofa 😂

My private scans not until the 14th, seems so long away! That's when Im going to tell my mum and OHs mum so can't wait to share it all with them.. and by all I mean me moaning im tired and aching constantly.. 😂

Ooo Tuna and jacket potato sounds good!

I've got Chilli con carne tonight!

x

F03t · 25/04/2022 16:50

@lovesT how funny that is all I’m wanting to eat! Finally got my tuna jacket potato at lunch and it was perfect - especially after throwing up twice this morning 😣hope you feel better soon!

I have my first scan on Wednesday when I should be 7+1 latest and the anxiety is kicking in. All I know is that is abdominal. Any other 7 week scan stories to share on what to expect?

lovesT · 25/04/2022 17:25

@Graceybaby how far along are you? The exhaustion is hard!

@F03t oooh sounds so good! I've put 3 in the oven just in case I really like it and want another one tomorrow 😄 my husband doesn't like tuna so will make his own dinner! I'm actually very excited about it and I haven't been excited about much food lately 😄.

I had a scan at 7+1 last week and then again at 7+4 (one private and one NHS due to spotting) and both were abdominal although the NHS lady did say at this stage she might need to do internal but both times we got to see and there was a fluttering heartbeat, so definitely enough to see something. I did have quite a full bladder both times, don't fill up too much like I did, soooo uncomfortable and not necessary 😂😅. Good luck xx
