Hi @BuchananBaby I have just sent you a Facebook message. I'm having real issues with Mumsnet at the moment 😢

BabyNo03 · 23/04/2022 12:22

Sorry everyone, desperately trying to keep up and get involved but Mumsnet doesn't seem to be working properly for me x

PinkFizz1 · 23/04/2022 12:46

Aww @BuchananBaby fab news 🥰 everyone updating with positive news from their early scans is giving me some hope for mine on Tuesday 🤞🏼🤞🏼

hopefulsunshine11 · 23/04/2022 13:39

Congratulations @BuchananBaby ❤️

FlowerJ · 23/04/2022 16:01

@Tofu35 Thank you, still feeling a bit grim tbh. Still on antibiotics though so not sure if it's pregnancy symptoms or the antibiotics that are making me feel rough.

@Baby2in2022 Thank you !

@BuchananBaby Yey! So pleased everything went well 🥰 Is the FB private? Can anyone see if you are a member, I'm paranoid that I'll join and the whole of FB will see 😂 But mumsnet is so hard to keep up with

BuchananBaby · 23/04/2022 16:41

@FlowerJ no one can see it totally private, trust me if you could see it my gran would have been on the phone by now 🙈😂

CW2211 · 23/04/2022 16:42

I’d love to join the Facebook group too if that would be okay? I have an early private scan booked for next Wednesday when I’ll be 7 weeks exactly and just wondering what the chances are of having it done trans-vaginally? I’ve read that they’ll most likely do it that way before 10 weeks but just wondering if anyone else has been in early and managed it abdominally? Or could I maybe ask them to do both and try the abdominal first then do vaginally if that doesn’t work?
Sorry for all the questions but just got no clue what to expect at the appointment haha

Graceybaby · 23/04/2022 16:52

@CW2211 The place where I've booked mine it states they will try abdominally first then trans-vaginally if they can't get a clear image. Might be the same for yours xx

BuchananBaby · 23/04/2022 17:05

@CW2211 of course just add me on fb and I can invite you to the group 🥰 I had my scan today at 8+4 and it was abdominal no issues went in with a full bladder and I was bursting but she said it wasn't really necessary which I didn't appreciate at the time 😂😂

Meowcat89 · 23/04/2022 18:44

@CW2211 mine was abdominal at 7 weeks 1 day

PennyFarthing30 · 23/04/2022 19:25

Hi everyone, found out I was pregnant a few weeks ago and believe I am 7+3. This is my second pregnancy, the first ended in a late miscarriage at 20 weeks so am super anxious. Would be lovely to join and share!

FlowerJ · 23/04/2022 22:11

@BuchananBaby That's good then! Haha I will add you on Fb if that's OK and you don't mind me joining 🙂 xxx

Ginfizz90 · 23/04/2022 22:32

Hi ladies,

Would love to be invited to your Facebook page please!

I think I'm roughly due Xmas day🫢

No major symptoms yet, boobs a bit tender and some cramping.

Chanel05 · 24/04/2022 07:10

It's hard to keep up - the thread moves so fast!

I'm only 4+5 today (27th December) anyone else due late December? Everyone else seems weeks ahead.

MissC07 · 24/04/2022 07:59

@Chanel05 congratulations! I think I'm also due late Dec according to the due date calculator. Not sure exactly of the date though as I have PCOS so long cycles.

Graceybaby · 24/04/2022 08:57

Im 24th of December @Chanel05 xx

I’ve had a headache for 2 days now. Paracetamol isn’t touching it. Can anyone recommend anything else? I don’t know what I’m allowed!

Sorry, not a recommendation, but I'm exactly the same with the headache - nice to know it isn't just me.

In fact, the last few days have been a horrendous mix of headaches, nausea and feeling like I've got the worst hangover ever 🤢

quinnbaby · 24/04/2022 11:07

@CW2211 mine was vaginally at 6 weeks and 4 days. It wasn’t uncomfortable at all and made me feel more comfortable as the images were clearer than abdominally due to it being early. I guess with pregnancy having your legs open in a room is something to get used to 😂

Sorry if this is Captain obvious but are you hydrating enough? Pregnancy is making me parched – we need more water to make more blood – and just the slightest hint of dry mouth kicks off my headaches.

what helped with mine last week was: water, many naps in the day, small amounts of dry food like crackers and crisps (yay health!). But basically taking to my room in the dark and SLEEPING or at least dozing, and hydrating like a motherfucker every time I woke. Pregnancy headaches are brutal.

PinkFizz1 · 24/04/2022 11:29

Ugh thank god it’s not just me with the headaches. I’ve had one everyday for over a week now. They’re brutal.

Laughingmole · 24/04/2022 11:32

Thanks, glad to see it’s not just me suffering! I thought this pregnancy thing was meant to be fun and we were meant to glow 😂
roll on the second trimester, which is meant to be better!

CP22 · 24/04/2022 12:04

Hey everyone.
Not been posting much but have been reading 😊.
I have a private early scan booked for Friday so looking forward/feeling nervous for that! I should be somewhere between 7-8 weeks by then.

This is my first pregnancy and I will admit to being completely naive! Never gave too much thought to the symptoms I might experience, just thought I’d breeze through hahaha how wrong I was 😂

KokoNights · 24/04/2022 12:05

Hello everyone!

Had my first midwife appointment (by telephone) today, so now it feels more real. I think I'm about 7 weeks, but my cycles aren't consistent so am not entirely sure.

It's been interesting and reassuring to read this thread! I see that quite a few people were concerned about their lack of symptoms. I only had mild tiredness and sore breasts until recently, and then the nausea and tummy problems decided to hit with a bang this week. All I feel like eating when nauseous is ready salted crisps and bread (not ideal since I'm intolerant to wheat). But yeah, I've been pretty useless and unproductive this week!!

I'm getting nervous about work. I really don't want to have to tell them any sooner than my 12 week scan, but I'm concerned my nausea is going to be debilitating. Annoying thing is that we've now back in the office 3 days a week, whereas previously it was more flexible. I really feel for the teachers on this thread - so much respect for you guys, as that must be impossible!

BuchananBaby · 24/04/2022 12:53

@CP22 good luck with your scan it'll be here before you know it 🥰 I actually miss the naivety with my daughter because now I know what's coming 🙈😂

@KokoNights depending on where you work I would tell them even if it's just your boss so you can have reasonable adjustments put in place if you need them. We're the same returning to work 3 days (if full time) but I'm only in 1 day per week however if it gets too much I will request to wfh all the time as an adjustment and doubt they will decline it tbh
