@Whilstwewait pretty much the same, my DS will be 18 months when this one arrives. I know it’s going to be hard but motherhood is hard in general and we will just adapt and cope.

Haxeri · 19/04/2022 10:11

@Tofu35

Good morning everyone. The struggle was real this morning, almost had a cry into my cereal when halfway through I suddenly became repulsed by the idea of a bowl of milk. Serious respect to anyone here who is struggling with nausea while having to parent one or more children!

How are we all doing today?

I've started being grossed out my meals I'm half way through eating as well, so you have my smypathies there! I also can't brush my teeth without gagging anymore.

(I think I accidentally reported your post instead of replying to it, oops)

Graceybaby · 19/04/2022 10:12

Hi @PinkFizz1, no It doesn't worry me at all, when I was pregnant with my son I also had no symptoms at all.. I was sick once around 16 weeks when I ate a fry up and that was it, had a smooth pregnancy no problems at all (until the birth but that's a different story! 🙈)

I have slightly tender boobs this time but even that comes and goes.. if I hadn't of tested positive Id have no idea I was pregnant!.. I'm only 4 1/2 weeks so still early days for me.

xx

Tofu35 · 19/04/2022 10:21

Haha that's okay @Haxeriz if you're getting grossed out by meals, you should report that post for its description of breakfast cereal!

Hi all, I’m new here. Congratulations to you all! I’m not sure how far along I am as I’ve had irregular periods but this week I got a positive clear blue of 3+ weeks. I called the midwife today and I’ve got an appointment for next week. I think I’d be due about mid December and it’s my first baby after trying to conceive for 3 years. Feeling in a bit shock but incredibly excited for this journey.

KittyKat1989 · 19/04/2022 10:41

Good morning all

I've just got back from a scan which shows I am 7+2 and Bean is healthy. It's my first pregnancy and I wasn't sure what to expect from the scan so I wanted to share my experience. I had an empty bladder, which made the abdominal scan difficult - they could just about make out that there was a pregnancy sac, but couldn't see anything in it. I got upset and panicked. The internal scan showed Bean and the heartbeat. So - for those of you going for scans soon - go with a full bladder, and prepare yourself for getting your foofoo out!

In terms of symptoms, I've been relatively lucky so far - although that hasn't helped my anxiety! Sore boobs when I wake up (including after naps), extreme tiredness, dizzy when I stand up and a bit of nausea but no sickness. If I didn't know better, I would just think I had been mildly hungover for a few weeks!

BuchananBaby · 19/04/2022 10:44

@Tofu35 that happened to me too! Had to avoid 'wet' food for a few days but I'm slowing getting back to normal 🙈😂

@Whilstwewait and @BabyC22 I'm the same DD will be 20 months and she's wild as it is 🙈 had a bit of mum guilt but I'm giving her a wee pal so she'll come round I'm sure 😂

Whilstwewait · 19/04/2022 10:47

@babyc22 exactly. Unless you’re going to have a big age gap it’s always going to be tough. It’ll be lovely to have them close in age. They’ll be best mates.

@wanderlust16 congratulations and welcome. I bet that was a massive shock. It took ages for my first pregnancy to feel real. I don’t think it actually did until he arrived.

Sorry to all those feeling rough. I still don’t feel pregnant at all but it’s only early days. I think my sore boobs hit about 6 weeks last time. I do have a really dry mouth im drinking so much and my husband said I was the same last time but I don’t remember xx

Whilstwewait · 19/04/2022 10:49

@buchananbaby aw the mum guilt is so real already. I feel so guilty on him. But he doesn’t have a clue. He’s a really chilled baby so I’m sure he’ll take to it just fine. I’m scared my second is going to be a nightmare because my little boy is so good Grin

BabyC22 · 19/04/2022 10:51

@BuchananBaby definitely with you on the mum guilt. I had a little cry at the thought of my son having to share us but in all honesty I know he will be fine and having a little bestie will become his new normal before we know it. I guess in a way it’s a blessing that when he’s older he won’t remember life without his sibling ❤️

BabyC22 · 19/04/2022 10:53

@Whilstwewait haha my partner and I have said the same, our son is so chilled we are bound to have a right little monster brewing this time!

Galaxyrippleforever · 19/04/2022 10:56

I feel so sick today, so fed up of being sick! I've got a dentist appointment in half an hour because I think I've got an infection 🤦 What a day!

PinkFizz1 · 19/04/2022 11:00

@Graceybaby Ah that's reassuring, thanks!

@KittyKat1989 Aww what a lovely update, congrats on seeing your baby bean! I've got my 7wk scan next week and am fully prepared for getting my bits out (I kind of hope it's an internal scan as apparently they're a lot clearer) what lovely news.
I'm the same as you with symptoms - sore boobs and mainly in the morning and after naps, and the hungover feeling is EXACTLY how I've been feeling! This is all reassuring for me to hear, so thank you so much for sharing!

7 days until my scan!

F03t · 19/04/2022 11:12

@ KittyKat1989 thanks for sharing its helpful to read! I’ve got a scan on Friday but it’s abdominal only (think I’ll be 6+3) so curious what can be seen, we’ll definitely go for the full bladder before!

Having said this morning about my pregnancy test being lighter than last week I just rushed off a work call to be sick :( not sure what is going on with my brain or body today! All the feelings!

MiaSparkle · 19/04/2022 11:26

So update from my yesterday situation. I was up and ready for this job because I thought just try my best to push through it and if I get sent home then at least I can say I went.. 20 minutes before leaving I was sick 🤮 so I've decided to just take it as it is and not go in because I can't stop it from happening. 🫤

Galaxyrippleforever · 19/04/2022 11:34

@miasparkle I read your post from yesterday and your sickness sounds awful. Have you considered getting any medication from the GP?

SarAnne90 · 19/04/2022 12:25

Hello lovelies, congratulations to you all. I’m new to all this but it’s wonderful having people to talk to.

I posted last night about my shock pregnancy. It was unplanned and unfortunately partner is not quite onboard yet.

1st pregnancy, conceived on the pill and with PCOS…complete shock. But I’m happy 😁
waiting for a first MW appointment but I have calculated my due date at 12/12/22.

BuchananBaby · 19/04/2022 12:52

@Whilstwewait and @BabyC22 I know I'm scared we get a baby that doesn't sleep 🙈 we're lucky DD slept through from like 6 weeks so that would be a nightmare 🥴

@SarAnne90 congratulations 🥳❤️ I hope he comes round soon for you sometimes they just need time ❤️

MiaSparkle · 19/04/2022 12:52

@Galaxyrippleforever I'm going to look into that today. I will phone my gp in a bit, I've already been sick 3 times today. It's unreal how I'm feeling. I'm happy I didn't go to that job that because I definitely would of got sent home

Galaxyrippleforever · 19/04/2022 12:55

@MiaSparkle I've been on cyclizine for a week now. I've got in a really good routine of it and am only being sick once a day now and can actually stand up and do things. I hope you get some help.

Mommabear20 · 19/04/2022 13:25

@SarAnne90 you sound like you're in the same boat as me! I was on contraception too when I got pregnant this time (number 3 for me!) and my husband is far from being on board!

JuliaBelgravia · 19/04/2022 13:42

Hi Mums, it's so lovely to find this thread! I hope you don't mind me joining :-)
My due date is December 4th and this is my first pregnancy. Has anyone else been referred to the Chelsea & Westminster hospital? I've got my first scan on May 26th - don't know how I'm going to wait that long!!
Hope everyone is doing well! x

quinnbaby · 19/04/2022 13:56

Hello,

I have been reading this thread for a few weeks but finally feel brave enough to post! I got my BFP on 4th April and feel so blessed after only TTC for 2 months. Currently 6 weeks 4 days if my dates are correct. I have a private scan this week and I am so scared. Any words of reassurance welcome!

I have had some mild cramping, nauseous, sore boobs and tiredness so far.

Good luck December mummas.

How is everyone doing? Visiting my in-laws and I do not know I am going to hide the pregnancy from them. The nausea has hit hard I am repelled by a lot of food esp wet food. The fatigue is also insane. If I could sleep all day I would 🥱. 5w6d today!

MrsCrumbtious · 19/04/2022 14:36

@Graceybaby it’s reassuring to hear someone else who isn’t having a lot of symptoms the second time around, I’m a mixture of feeling like a fraud and panicking because something might be wrong!

Is anyone still keeping their pregnancies a secret? Really wish I could tell my mum so I could share how I’m feeling (she knows me better than hubby 🙈)
