Lovely news about your scan! And that there is an explanation for the bleed. What a relief :)

Will you be sticking around or moving to the November thread? Or both?

@embob993 wow that's great news! So you're about a week further than what you thought? Really pleased for you. Definitely stick around if you want to x

Whilstwewait · 18/04/2022 13:43

@Sdoubleyou happy birthday enjoy your day

@embob993 aw the best news. Congratulations. The group I was in for my little boy ended up with babies born in April, May and June so feel free to stick around xx

Laughingmole · 18/04/2022 13:55

Just catching up with all the messages. It’s reassuring to hear that everyone is in the same boat and feeling the same. I felt absolutely rubbish all weekend, nausea was terrible and boob pain was so much worse. But I’ve woken up today and feel so much better. I flew back from holiday overnight Friday and I really don’t think the baby liked the descent.
Sorry to hear some of you are feeling bad, but good to know you are getting support and reassurance from the hospitals.
I’ve booked a private scan for Saturday 30th. I’ll be over 9 weeks then so hoping to see a decent sized baby (or blob!). X

RoseGold24 · 18/04/2022 14:14

Great news @embob993 ☺️

RSmamaa · 18/04/2022 15:11

Hope all the scans go well today! Hope to see some pics 😁😁 I am a sucker for baby scans.

RSmamaa · 18/04/2022 15:12

Has everyone else booked a scan? I think I might book one for 3 weeks time when I'll bee 8 weeks

bbno2 · 18/04/2022 15:14

There are so many messages I can’t keep up!
Hope all those anxious and stressed by the whole process are doing ok. I completely get it, it’s how I felt with my DD pregnancy after a MMC. Funnily this time I feel really quite at peace with it all.

I do however feel as sick as a dog. 🤢
I feel so rough.. like constant travel sickness plus sore boobs, and debilitating tiredness. Haven’t yet rung the GP and really need to do that. Hoping maybe they can prescribe some anti sickness/nausea meds once I “book in”.

In theory I’m 7 weeks today but am wondering if I’m a tad bit further along than that (my cycles are really irregular so I’m currently going on my “average”). Impatient to get to 12w for a scan to know for sure!

bbno2 · 18/04/2022 15:15

Also fab news @embob993 and hope all goes well today @lovesT

Tofu35 · 18/04/2022 15:21

Honestly, if we could take some maternity leave for the first trimester, it would be a total lifesaver. I'm not going to be productive over the next few weeks, they may as well give me the time off to wallow! 😂

@embob993, that's great news!! It must be such a relief! Thanks for sharing ❤️

Mommabear20 · 18/04/2022 15:32

@embob993 that's fantastic! Would be lovely to have you stick around!

I've rung 111 and managed to get a prescription for some anti sickness medication to pick up tomorrow!!

caulkheaded · 18/04/2022 15:38

I’m aware I’ll have consultant led care with some early scans - I had ovarian cancer a few years ago and my gynaecologist had told me to expect it. Not sure when it’ll be though and we’ve got a few holidays booked in the next couple of months 😂

MiaSparkle · 18/04/2022 15:44
@MiaSparkle we're a chatty bunch 😂 I'm doing okay finally managing to eat and it's fantastic! Got a scan on Saturday and I cannot wait 🥰🥳

Aww @FlowerJ I hope you feel better soon ❤️

@embob993 they're fantastic numbers! Think about it this way you need 6 to get a positive frer and you're way way above that ❤️

@Melusina123 congratulations and sorry for your loss, the only advice I can give is no matter how you feel at this point it won't change the outcome you can either be really worried and anxious or you can enjoy the fact that right now you're pregnant and it's a fantastic time in your life regardless of the outcome ❤️ I found that really helpful getting through pregnancy with my daughter ❤️
That's exciting for you !❤️

embob993 · 18/04/2022 15:46

Thankyou all ❤ I do think I'll stay in this thread if you don't mind as I'm quite connected with this one and I'm only really a few days away from a December due date anyway 😊 I'd constantly want to hbe checking on how you all are but! Don't worry about confusing the due date chart we have going on though!

@mommabear20 ooh its good to know we have options! My nausea is still really random but seems to be travel sickness and acid related at the mo.

@rsmamaa here's the photo ❤

BuchananBaby · 18/04/2022 15:49

@embob993 congratulations lovely not a single bit of bad news in there 🥰 you started this group you should absolutely stay! ❤️

@Tofu35 I've already told my boss to expect nothing from me except monitoring emails the next few weeks, I'm due in the office on Thursday for the first time in 2 years and I have no clue how I'm going to do it 🤢 also I have nothing to wear 🙈😂

@Sdoubleyou happy birthday hope you're having a lovely day 🥰

@caulkheaded oh where are you off to? We're away to Salou in 4 weeks and currently praying DD's passport arrives in time 🤞😂

MiaSparkle · 18/04/2022 15:50

NEED ADVICE.

So first trimester as we all know is horrible🤢 I've been sick almost everyday for a week, the cramps and nausea are unbelievable. I can barely stand up without being lightheaded and wanting to be sick. Even if I sit up to eat, I can just feel my head going completely😭I am bed bound... I'm also suffering from gas which just tops it off🫤

So my question is - I don't want at the moment but I want to get into work just so I can get the maternity pay and have money to support myself. I am due to start a job tomorrow which do not know about me being pregnant but as how I am feeling, I just don't know if I can do it. I'm conflicted completely. Its a office job so I will be sat down , maybe abit of walking around but not much. What do we think I should do?

caulkheaded · 18/04/2022 15:53

@BuchananBaby we’ve got 5 days in Spain, a week in Scotland and 4 days in Croatia. DH and I both have very flexible working and so we’re making the most of it whilst we can!

lovesT · 18/04/2022 16:27

Will catch up on all the messages but just thought I'd say everything was okay! Measuring 7+1 which is exactly where I thought anyway and saw a very fast little heartbeat ❤️🥰. No idea what caused the spotting/ brown discharge but baby is fine. I'll still go for the NHS one as it would probably be good to have things on record but so pleased we did this one for reassurance!

Any other scans today apart from me and @embob993??

Laughingmole · 18/04/2022 16:33

Glad both your scans went well @lovesT and @embob993

RSmamaa · 18/04/2022 16:34

@MiaSparkle it could just be normal for you but you have described exactly how I felt last pregnancy around this stage. Couldn't get out of bed and felt hungover all day. I went to the GP and they did bloods, turns out my iron was low and was prescribed medication. A week later. Felt so much better. Just odd bouts of nausea but the sickness stopped pretty fast. Might be worth a call if it could be the same thing! Only issue is the meds cause constipation but gave me the opposite 😂🥴

I went gp start of the week and they said could be ibs or lactose intolerant... had no blood tests done though. They did say to come back the end of this week if no improvement. So will book in for this tomorrow morning. I'm just so stuck on the job situation 😢

Tofu35 · 18/04/2022 16:49

@miasparkle is there any chance you could work from home some days? Flexible location? First trimester is a crummy time to start a new job, but as you say, the maternity package would be useful.

RoseGold24 · 18/04/2022 17:03

Fabulous @lovesT so happy for you! X

Whilstwewait · 18/04/2022 17:15

@MiaSparkle so sorry you’re feeling so rough. It may be worth checking the maternity pay policy first. As I know you have to have been in your job for a certain amount of time when you hit 25 weeks to qualify. So if you won’t qualify anyway might as well stay at home and rest. Apologies if you have already checked xx
