@LS1983 Im so pleased you he's doing the right thing, its great you now have someone by your side. You deserve that.
In regards to the spotting try not to worry, i know its hard but it could be a number of reasons. Were all staying positive for you. Hugs

Casper94 · 03/04/2022 17:31

@ls1983 thinking of you, I'd say try not to panic but I've just been through the same thing so completely understand the worry - try to distract yourself until the scan tomorrow I've got everything crossed for you 💞

LS1983 · 03/04/2022 17:59

@Casper94 @Ladymama12 @scoutcat thank you ladies 🥰 I've calmed down a bit now after a short nap. I was in a right state. Hopefully it doesn't come to anything, just have to wait it out. It was red/brown but seems to have stopped although I'm still cramping. Will let you all know the outcome tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Brailsbaby · 03/04/2022 18:47

Hi all been watching for a while due date is between 13-15th November - Flo said 15th but an early scan due to cramps said I was two days ahead.

I have had severe morning (all day sickness), I can’t keep anything down. No food or liquid, struggling at the moment with feeling so rubbish. I’m so thirsty and just want a big drink 🙈

I hope you are all doing ok

Kathno4 · 03/04/2022 20:36

Hey guys today has probably been the worst day so far feeling so sick, no appetite and feeling so dizzy even when lying down. Like drunk - the room is spinning 😵‍💫 praying tomorrow is a better day

FlowerJ · 03/04/2022 21:34

@LS1983 Hope everything is OK! I've got my fingers crossed that it all settles down.

@Brailsbaby Welcome ! Sorry to hear you've been feeling so sick 😔

@Kathno4 Hope you feel better tomorrow! I remember being dizzy with my first and it was horrible!

Kathno4 · 03/04/2022 21:38

@FlowerJ just out of interest did you have boy or girl first time around? Already trying to guess 🥲

FlowerJ · 03/04/2022 21:55
@FlowerJ just out of interest did you have boy or girl first time around? Already trying to guess 🥲
@Kathno4 I had a girl 😀 I felt exactly the same as you, no appetite which meant I barely ate, constantly felt dizzy/faint. I felt sick but never actually vomited. I didnt have any other symptoms so didnt really feel pregnant just felt ill 😂 My appetite instantly increased once I hit second trimester and I felt much better x

Kathno4 · 03/04/2022 22:43

@FlowerJ I feel like you’re talking about exactly how I feel right now haha! I’ve got boy/girl/boy but didn’t find out with the first two until I was 14/15 weeks gone!
We’re supposed to be keeping this one a surprise until they’re born I’m not sure how I’m gonna do it, 9+5 and already guessing 🥲

Has anyone else kept it a surprise til birth? Or had plans to but couldn’t

@Kathno4 I've said the exact same this time! This is no.3 for us and we've got one of each so tempted to keep a surprise but I know I'm going to struggle SO bad. OH said he doesn't think he'll be able to handle waiting either so he's no help 😂 Really don't know what to do! 🙈

scoutcat · 04/04/2022 07:15

@Kathno4 with my first we didn't find out until birth and he's a little boy.. but I sort of want to find out this time! As it's probably my last baby, I also want to keep it a surprise! Eek!

Kathno4 · 04/04/2022 07:17

Will be interested to see if we can both do it then 🥲 exciting 🤞

Kathno4 · 04/04/2022 07:19

@scoutcat exciting!! Do you have any feeling of who you might be carrying boy/girl?

OtiMama · 04/04/2022 08:07

@Kathno4 This is my second, i found out with my son but didn't want to this time. My husband was like these are the reasons I want to find out and listed quite a few, I didn't really have any argument against so guess we will be finding out!

Cocobeau · 04/04/2022 08:49

I honestly think I might be going mad but does anyone notice a weird kind of semi-permanent scent that makes them feel sick - or even more sick. It's a bit like the smell of the Pregnacare multi-vit chewies I was taking but I stopped a week or so ago because I couldn't take the smell anymore. This scent just appears at the most random times and places and my god, it makes my stomach turn so badly.

Bramblecrumble21 · 04/04/2022 08:59

In meant to be contacted by the midwives between 8-10 weeks. I was 9 weeks on Friday and had one missed call 'just now' from a private number. I missed it but was so close. They've not called back or left a voicemail... it's frustrating.

Bramblecrumble21 · 04/04/2022 09:05

They called back from the local mlu, which runs a clinic on a Monday. Asked if I could come today as they're got a space. I can't I'm working, and I always work Mondays so they've sent be back to the community midwife team who will contact me. Exciting, finally going somewhere.

For me, it's a potato salad my mum ate in my kitchen about a week ago. The container has gone, the cutlery has been washed, but every time I walk in there I can smell it 🤢🤢🤢
HGsecondtimemum · 04/04/2022 09:28

Hi all,
I’ve just found this thread. I hope everyone’s doing well. This is my second pregnancy and my due date is 4th November ☺️
My pregnancy hasn’t been too smooth so far as I am suffering from really severe sickness (HG) and have been in and out of the hospital due to dehydration. Just wondering if there’s anyone else in the same situation as me? Would love to hear if anyone has any tips or advise to share on tackling with HG. Thanks Smile

Sorry to everyone feeling rubbish Flowers I was so sick with my first I needed anti-sickness medication, was less bad with my second and this time I just mainly feel nauseous which is a definite improvement.

@Cheetocat @Kathno4 I am huge and I’ve either got my dates wrong or it’s just that I have so much weight on my tum already it’s piling up underneath IYSWIM. I already can’t lie on my back for long. DP also keeps saying twins and gets the evil eye from me. Lalalalala not listening! Waiting impatiently for 12 week scan to find out what’s going on.

Congratulations @FlowerJ ! It feels a bit lonely tbh because I don’t really know anyone irl in this position and I feel like I’ll be judged when I tell people.

Not telling my parents yet, not sure why but I feel like I need to know of everything’s ok before they get invested.

My first was a surprise, second we found out. We have one of each so it would be nice to have another surprise but might be too impatient! Mind you DD wouldn’t let us see at 16w so we have to have a private scan.

Does anyone know at what point you are offered blood tests to check for likelihood of Downs etc? I can’t remember and everything seems to have changed in the last 6 years. I’m 41 so obviously risks are higher.

betty1239 · 04/04/2022 10:27

Hi all,

I'm rubbish on Mumsnet but have sent a request to the Facebook group too.

I'm 6w+5d with our second, due 22nd November going off my dates, got my first midwife appointment on the 12th.

Feeling much more anxious than with my first pregnancy and have no idea why! Our LG is 18 months and a little worried about juggling two 😂 but very excited. Still doesn't feel real, had HG in my first pregnancy and only been sick a couple of times so far, so obviously that's making me worry that everything isn't going to plan! 🤦

Can't wait to get the 12 week scan booked in x

2in2022 · 04/04/2022 10:40

@betty1239 I am also rubbish on here. Please could someone send the link to the Facebook group, I’d love to join Smile

Hi lovely, I couldn't remember when the tests were and I only had my daughter 2.5 years ago! 🙈 but I had a midwife appointment last week and they said it's at the 12 weeks scan ❤️
FlowerJ · 04/04/2022 10:45

@LS1983 How are you getting on?

@scoutcat We are the same, this is definitely our last baby so tempted to keep it a surprise.

@Kathno4 We will have to make sure neither of us crumbles and finds out 😂 Keep eachother in check haha

@HGsecondtimemum welcome and congratulations! Sorry to hear you've been suffering so badly already 😔

@Tuesdaysgirl Thank you! I know what you mean! I don't have many people around me IRL who have 3 or are in this situation. Definitely feel like I'm going to be judged. We will stick together!
They screen you for Downs etc between 10-14 weeks 🙂
