@feb85. I'm not one to judge. I Google literally everything! I just have to learn to filter what I read and listen to my medical professionals!

roobearbaby · 16/05/2022 21:48

Is anyone else really bad at remembering to take their vitamins?

@roobearbaby Yep. I remember my folic acid most days but vit D, don't even ask. I also keep forgetting to do pelvic floor exercises and I'm pretty sure I'll live to regret that.

Pixiedust15 · 17/05/2022 10:01

Hi mamas, cam I jump in, I'm due 29th November officially hit 12 weeks today.

This is my rainbow baby so I'm a little nervous still, announced my happiness to the world of Facebook but I'm still very much anxious and very much on edge, trying to enjoy as much as I can and not let worry take over too much x

Casper94 · 17/05/2022 11:47

13+1 today and after a few days of having a bit more every the tiredness has come back with a vengeance - slept from 8pm last night to 7am this morning and still shattered!

OtiMama · 17/05/2022 11:47

@Feb85 I hope you are feeling a bit better about things. Totally agree follow the sonographer, they know their stuff. Remember due date isn't a set date for anything (for most of us!) anyway.

@Pixiedust15 welcome. I know it must be so hard not to worry but you are doing the right thing trying to enjoy it. Worrying never changes anything and I always feel so sad for mums that miss the excitement of growing a baby, but yet totally understand its hard not to especially if its a rainbow baby for you.

I've stopped folic acid now over 12 weeks, still doing vitamin D but also quite good at forgetting, along with most other things at the moment!

2 more days until my 13 week scan, getting impatient now as it's so close. I feel like as this is my second baby I just haven't had the time to think about it as much as just so busy. Sickness is still around and I'm waking for an hour most nights because of it which is annoying. Especially when my husband wakes for like 3 mins and has the nerve to say I woke him up and immediately falls back to sleep!!

smiles39 · 17/05/2022 14:12

I’m still taking the pregnacare until my scan Thursday which will be 13 weeks, just in case dates are wrong. Midwife suggested going to just vitamin D tablets afterwards, please tell me they are a lot smaller tablets that these huge pregnacare ones?!

Cocobeau · 17/05/2022 15:01

@Casper94 I feel you with that. I'm fast asleep on the sofa by 8pm. I've found the past couple of days I've needed a nap after work and I've even fallen asleep at work a couple of times. Luckily my boss is very understanding. Just waiting for this apparent 2nd Trimester energy boost we're meant to get.

Cruz86 · 17/05/2022 15:04

I feel exactly the same @Casper94 and @Cocobeau. I said to my husband this morning that it feels like I'm back in the first trimester 😩 x

roobearbaby · 17/05/2022 17:08

Ladies. I just purchased a pair of "grow with you" maternity jeans from Next. They fit me perfectly now and are mega mega stretchy with elastic panels on the sides. They are perfect for this awkward period when you are too big for normal clothes but too small for full blown maternity clothes. I just thought I would share as I am comfortable in clothes for the first time in weeks!

sarahj878 · 17/05/2022 17:24

@roobearbaby thank you so much for this recommendation as I’m struggling with clothes at the moment! Anyone found any nice stretchy/maternity shorts? I got a really nice summer dress from M&S that I think will look good throughout summer but struggling to find similar style to it anywhere

Bramblecrumble21 · 17/05/2022 20:02

Vitamin d tablets are small!
I am actually ok at remembering thew tablets.

I have a variety of vitamins in my cupboard, going to take them to my midwife appointment on Monday.

NotAdultingToday · 17/05/2022 20:17

@roobearbaby thank you too! Im struggling, so much as i was already over weight so even tiny bump has made a difference.
Im especially struggling for work clothes (the dont provide work trousers and the maternity tunics take too long to come baby would be here before they arrived!) i have tried everywhere but didnt think of next so ill have a look 😊

Bramblecrumble21 · 18/05/2022 05:18

I'm 15+5 weeks, second baby and I think I felt a kick yesterday morning and this morning lying in bed. It was like an internal finger flick after I coughed. It's exciting.

LEBee92 · 18/05/2022 10:52

I’ve bought some maternity leggings and a pair of jeggings from Love Leggings and they’re really nice, comfy and a decent material and arrived the next day even on standard delivery! I’ve had a look and they do maternity black work trousers @NotAdultingToday

Cruz86 · 18/05/2022 12:22

@LEBee92 did you order the Love Leggings in your usual size? I keep meaning to get some but then don't know whether I should size up or not?

sarahj878 · 18/05/2022 13:09

@Cruz86 i ordered maternity leggings from loveleggings in my usual size. I wasn’t impressed sadly as after 2 wears they got a hole in them. Their customer service was good though and I will be trying some different leggings as think it was the particular material of the ones I got. Their work trousers are nice @NotAdultingToday @LEBee92 and I ordered my usual size in those.

Novella12 · 18/05/2022 13:42

Has anyone else had this? I got an itchy red rash on my face yesterday. Today, the itchiness has gone but my skin feels sooo dry, almost scaly. Not sure what to put on it that won't aggravate it!

LEBee92 · 18/05/2022 13:51

@Cruz86 I’ve ordered in my normal size and they fit great!

LEBee92 · 18/05/2022 13:52

@sarahj878 oh no that’s a shame - I’ve worn mine nearly every day since last week and so far so good 🤞🏻

Cocobeau · 18/05/2022 14:28

I'm very relieved. My screening results put me as higher risk for downs syndrome so I chose to have a NIPT test last monday and finally got the news that it's come back lower risk. I feel like I can actually start to relax a little bit now.

NotAdultingToday · 18/05/2022 15:02

@LEBee92 and @sarahj878 thats great thank you for that. I will have a look tonight 😊

sarahj878 · 18/05/2022 17:43

@Novella12 i had itchy skin when I had my son, and mentioned it to midwife. They did some extra blood tests to check it wasn’t something to do with liver I think you can get during pregnancy and recommended some cream can’t remember the name of it sorry, my itchiness was all over tho except my face but they never found a cause. Hope yours gets better soon

sarahj878 · 18/05/2022 17:43

Ooh would you mind sharing the link please? Going to try different pair but not sure which to go for
