So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

6 weeks today and threw up in my sink whilst brushing my teeth. The glamour.

lovesT · 12/04/2022 07:44

@LolaJ87 second that! Last pregnancy mini cheddars helped me and my husband would bring me something to eat before I got up so we've started doing that again which has helped this morning 👍

Galaxyrippleforever · 12/04/2022 07:58

I've taken cyclizine for the first time this morning! I took it as soon as I woke up and then stayed in bed... Wow it has really taken the edge off. Wish I had done this with my first pregnancy! Hope it keeps working.

Krista1991 · 12/04/2022 08:04

Hello.I am still not sure if I can stay in this group.

My period is suppose to be next week, but I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hey everyone, just jumping on here before another thread gets started! 5 weeks pregnant (after a miscarriage in November), nausea kicking in now! I have a nice bag of Jacobs crackers next to me at all times, and very lucky to be working from home.

BuchananBaby · 12/04/2022 10:02

@Tofu35 welcome and congratulations! You're comment made me giggle because I've just had some of those and butter for breakfast 😂

LolaJ87 · 12/04/2022 10:28

@lovesT I really want mini cheddars now! Yum.

@Galaxyrippleforever really hope it continues helping with the morning sickness!

Congrats and welcome @Tofu35 @Krista1991

Has anyone had a massive surge in appetite? The last day or so I just want to eat and eat. I'm 6+3.

Nutella99 · 12/04/2022 11:19

What calculator did you all use to predict due dates, and tell you how many weeks you are?

I know exactly when I ovulated and when my last period was, but because I have a long cycle the dates I'm given are several days apart depending on whether I use ovulation or last period. I'm not so bothered for due date because that obviously varies a lot anyway, but for number of weeks it varies from 5 weeks 4 days, to 6 weeks 1 day. Which feels like a lot of difference at this point! I have a an early scan next week on what I thought was 7 weeks 1 day, but if I'm only 6 weeks 4 days then will they even be able to see anything?

RSmamaa · 12/04/2022 11:27

@Nutella99 I'm 4 weeks today. You count 38 weeks from the day you ovulated x

LolaJ87 · 12/04/2022 11:41

@Nutella99 yeah they're able to see from 6 weeks usually. You'll get a proper dating at your 12 week scan anyway. I have short (slightly irregular) cycles so keep having to remind myself of the same thing.

Mommabear20 · 12/04/2022 11:56

@Galaxyrippleforever I took that in both previous pregnancies and it legitimately saved my sanity!!! So far I've not had a great deal of nausea, which is weird for me as it usually kicks in even before I get a positive test! Not that I'm complaining! This is absolutely going to be my last pregnancy so it'd be nice to be able to enjoy it a little bit more.

Tofu35 · 12/04/2022 12:17

@nutella99 I popped the date of my last period into the ovia app and it calculated it for me. Could be wrong but it's a start :)

MrsCrumbtious · 12/04/2022 12:30

Anyone else struggling with anxiety? This week is dragging so much and want to enjoy this pregnancy as it’s going to be the last one 😓

Meowcat89 · 12/04/2022 12:34

My weird bleeding episode stopped last week and thankfully I'm back to normal looking discharge now 🙏 I have an 8 week scan booked in on the 22nd so hopefully will find out more then. I've not had any pain, just the bleed so hopefully it's just left over blood or to do with my endometriosis or something.

PinkFizz1 · 12/04/2022 12:43

@MrsCrumbtious yes me! I feel like each day is a milestone. And then I’ll be 6wks at the weekend which is another milestone. I’m also on countdown for the next 2 weeks until our early scan.. it’s such an anxious time. 🙏🏼

Sdoubleyou · 12/04/2022 12:50

@LolaJ87, I cannot stop eating! I'm trying to at least make healthy choices, but I am a bottomless pit right now.

I am exactly the same. Every morning I wake up I check my pregnancy+ app. I am so anxious about the scan in a few weeks time 😫

lovesT · 12/04/2022 13:38

I'd say my appetite isn't very big at the moment but I need to keep eating or I feel sick! So only eating what I want to/ can tolerate.

Anyone else getting the occasional cramp/ stretching feeling?? It stopped for a while for me but have had a few random ones. I'm sure I did with my daughter past 8 week as I remember mentioning it to the midwife!

LolaJ87 · 12/04/2022 14:32

@Meowcat89 Our 8 week scans are on the same day! I cant wait for the peace of mind that'll hopefully come with it.

@Sdoubleyou I'm so relieved I'm not the only one! I'm trying to keep it healthy too (crackers & hummus, fruit, yoghurt) but I just want to keep eating! I'm telling myself the baba must be going through a growth spurt but that might be silly.

Beautytobe · 12/04/2022 14:48

Hey guys- been reading all your messages. So sorry to the ladies who have bowed out- it’s totally shit!

My Hcg had been trending “beautifully “ and I had a scan today, I’m measuring at just over 5 weeks and saw the little sac. The midwives seemed really happy and I’m trying to stay positive. One day at a time and each day is a good one.

Sorry to hear some of you are feeling green, I had it bad with all my past pregnancy’s and nothing helped. I can’t wait a face covering though the lack of cool air makes me 🤮

I haven’t started to get the all day sick feeling but I know it’s coming as it’s coming in waves just now.

What vitamins are you taking? I just bought gummy ones but the smell of them is 🤢

DogsAndGin · 12/04/2022 14:51

Welcome @Beautytobe May I please ask, how do you track your hcg?

Meowcat89 · 12/04/2022 15:02

@LolaJ87 aw that's cool! Hope all goes well for us 🙂 I have to go into work straight after so that's going to be fun trying to keep my mouth shut!

I'm starting to get the odd wave of nausea. I thought nausea would be one of my main symptoms because I'm very prone to throwing up but it hasn't overly affected my eating yet, as I force myself to do it. Although the idea of some things is making me queasy!

Nejnej · 12/04/2022 15:03

@Beautytobe I've just switched to Boots basic folic acid with vitamin D, which seems to helped a lot (although early days!). Previously on Pregnacare.

Congrats and welcome!

Tofu35 · 12/04/2022 15:30

Has anyone told any friends or family members yet? I'm seeing my mum this weekend and hoping I don't feel too grim. Tempted to tell her, though it's mega early!
