So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

Hello everyone! I’ve just gotten my BFP at 12dpo 🥰 Which going by last period puts me at a 6th Dec due date.

It’s my and my OH’s first baby at 38 so I feel like I should have some wisdom by now but I’ve none! Only experience I have is of dogs and puppies … humans and babies - not a clue! 😂🙈

I’m the first in my friendship circle and also my family to have a baby and it’s a terrifying new prospect for me - but exciting too!

Any veteran mums with advice to offer I’d be greatly appreciative of.

Such as, do I contact the maternity unit immediately or do I wait a while? I’m in London x

Milamight · 27/03/2022 17:44

I am in the South and the process is a self referral form for antenatal care on the hospital trust website! Congratulations ❤️ such an exciting time. I think I am around 5 weeks but could be further along.
🥰

Norberta · 27/03/2022 19:35

Hi everyone! I think I should be due on around 1st December. About 5 weeks gone now but got a positive digital test on 9 DPO (!) so it feels like an age already. I also lost my first in a MMC at around 8 weeks. Feeling positive about this one though, congratulations all - bring on the festive babies!

Charl881 · 27/03/2022 20:18

@geologyrockss honestly I think dogs and puppies can be as hard as a baby in some way so you’ll be fine! Congratulations. My only advice - don’t have any pre conceived expectations and you’ll be fine.

Charl881 · 27/03/2022 20:19

@geologyrockss here (Cambridgeshire) you self refer to a midwife service, they then arrange a booking in appointment at around eight weeks

Hello everyone! Can I please join? I got my BFP yesterday morning. I am very nervous as I've had a chemical last month and I had one before I convinced DS. I'm actually not going to test again unless needed as it's just too anxiety inducing. I got this result yesterday which I think should be 11Dpo ... does it look ok? I'm due early December if all goes well. Congrats everyone and I'm glad this thread is here! Smile

@lottie222 that’s a great line for 11dpo, congratulations!

hopefulsunshine11 · 28/03/2022 08:55

Good morning ladies!

Congratulations!!

This is my second time on here after a MMC last May. We've struggled since and I finally got my BFP yesterday. I am super anxious after having a miscarriage and keep having the thoughts it's going to happen again. Is this line dark enough for 15DPO?

I have an overwhelming sense that it's never going to happen for us and it's going to end bad, I can't be excited. I've got a lot on over the next few weeks, birthdays and hens so no idea how I'm going to hide not drinking as I'm known for my social skills 🤣🤣.

Thanks xx

Due December 2022 ❤👶
Norberta · 28/03/2022 09:01

@hopefulsunshine11 that’s a super dark line! I know the struggle is real after the MMC but you need to focus on the stats - only 1 in 100 women have recurrent miscarriages so you are overwhelmingly likely to be fine this time. I’m going for an early scan between 8/9 weeks for reassurance could you do the same? Try not to eat you up or it will be a long 12 weeks! Sending love x

BuchananBaby · 28/03/2022 09:54

Congratulations newbies on your bfp's 🥰

@Norberta I'm due the 1st according to the NHS calc too 😁 I found out last Sunday and my partner was saying it's going to take forever to get to 12 weeks 😂 we're definitely getting an early scan at 8 weeks 😁

@lottie222 definitely don't do anymore as long as you can I've spent an absolute fortune on tests and it definitely isn't needed.

@hopefulsunshine11 your line looks fab 🥰

hopefulsunshine11 · 28/03/2022 10:38

Thanks @BuchananBaby and @Norberta it's going to be a long 12 weeks. I had an early scan last time that's how I found out. I might just wait this time incase. I don't have any symptoms yet and I didn't last time either, I'm also getting a bit of dark brown stringy mucus mixed with clear, which I got the last time. I just need to be calm and patient! 💕

Norberta · 28/03/2022 10:42

@hopefulsunshine11 I also had a scan at about 8 weeks which is also how I found out so the prospect of doing that again is scary but i think all things considered better the devil you know. I’d rather know sooner than later… horrible business though isn’t it? Try to stay positive I’m sure you’ll be fine! All we can do is hope!

lottie222 · 28/03/2022 12:02

Thanks @Charl881 let's hope it sticks.
Yes @BuchananBaby I think you're right. I have one frer left in the drawer and I'll try my best to resist it. I currently look like a crazy mad woman as I am constantly checking my boobs are still sore. Just the odd grope in public is fine right?! Weird how these things reassure you - ish!

lottie222 · 28/03/2022 12:04

@hopefulsunshine11 I have everything crossed for you. I am sick with sorry too and it's just an awful feeling isn't it?! I kind of feel like my life is on hold for the next 12 weeks :(

Charl881 · 28/03/2022 12:59

I’m out ladies. I’ve just started bleeding, taken a test and it’s almost negative, a lot fainter than two days ago.

Norberta · 28/03/2022 13:52

@Charl881 so sorry to hear that. My friend had two chemicals and is now 28 weeks pregnant so I’m sure next time will be your time xx

lottie222 · 28/03/2022 14:25

@Charl881 I conceived my first son after a chemical so don't give up xxx

hopefulsunshine11 · 28/03/2022 14:30

@Charl881 sorry to hear that 😩 xx

Charl881 · 28/03/2022 15:00

Thanks everyone. Unfortunately I can’t try next month so will have a month off but hopefully it will happen soon after. Good luck to everyone else.

@lottie222 I'm soo glad I'm not the only one with the boob thing 🤣 I could cry some evenings my nipples are so sore but if it eases off I'm putting them like a mad woman like.. yup, still stinging! Even did it on the motorway on the way home 🙈 it's my main symptom apart from a very strong sense of smell and fatigue (although I'm always tired anyway!!)

lottie222 · 28/03/2022 17:50

@embob993 I'm constantly groping them!I have convinced myself they aren't as sore today but I'm sure they are. Walking down the stairs kiiiiillls. I'm having a lot of cramping which I know can be normal and I had it with my son but I also had it with my chemical last month so I'm a bit of a nervous wreck.... gah.
