So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

@PinkFizz1, @Nutella99, I'm still doing weight training and spinning, but I'm wearing a heart rate monitor and making sure I don't overdo it. I'm also going to do some online prenatal yoga classes. I used to do high intensity stuff but I'm definitely calming down.

For the list, I'm due the 12th :)

@MrsN3

I’m due to go in a hen party early June, for the bride I’m bridesmaid for later in the summer . I’ll be 12-13 weeks on the hen weekend (due 6th dec) with activities of drinking, gladiator fighting and escape rooms- I’m getting worried about it all! I have been considering only going for one day to not let down the bride, but not sure about it all as no idea how I’ll feel then and I won’t want to do many of the activities so will be a ‘downer’ on the festivities. It’s 3.5hour drive away from home and I only know the bride herself. Anyone else in similar situations? Any advice?
I'm the same ! I've got my BFF hen do beginning on June and that's all drinking, cocktail making etc and then the wedding is in July. Don't really know what to do, don't want to let anyone down but also not aure what it's going to be like being the only sober one. Plus I won't know anyone except the bride so kind of needed the alcohol for a bit of Dutch courage lol
FlowerJ · 11/04/2022 16:07

I've been away these past few days so a little behind on messages.

Congrats to the new ladies joining 🥰 Hope the scans go well for all the ladies who have them booked in.
I've finally hit the 7 week mark but still don't really have any symptoms. Boobs dont really hurt anymore and tiredness has improved. Bit bloated in the evening and already feel like I can't lay on my back which is odd.

Currently visiting my mum who doesn't know so that's been interesting!

littlecontis · 11/04/2022 16:14

@Sdoubleyou ohh which online prenatal yoga class are you doing? I'd be interested! I bought a home reformer pilates machine and I've been doing online classes too. I love how I can just go on the reformer without leaving the house!

MrsN3 · 11/04/2022 16:18

@FlowerJ exact same situation then as I won’t know anyone other than bride either. I think I’m just going to tell the bride and try work out a plan. I feel bad about letting her down!
Hope visiting and keeping a secret from your mum is not too tricky! I did tell my mum at 4weeks 5days as I wanted to say in person and have her know in case something did happen.

Galaxyrippleforever · 11/04/2022 16:27

@Sal248R fingers crossed for you. That sounds so stressful.

I just had some anti sickness meds prescribed by the doctor and I am so hopeful that they are going to work!!!

littlecontis · 11/04/2022 16:30

@Amphibian94 what a lovely update!

Sdoubleyou · 11/04/2022 16:42

@littlecontis, I'm doing it with Peloton, I have the app. But there a TON online for free. You can check YouTube and the prof bios should say their credentials (to make sure they know what they're doing). My home studio also has some in-person classes so I'll try that as well once I'm further along.

BuchananBaby · 11/04/2022 17:24

So exhaustion has just hit me like a tonne of bricks sitting here upset because I'm tired and I don't finish work for another 35 mins. My partner is away on Wed for a stag do until Sunday and I genuinely don't know how I'm going to do it, think me and my poor daughter will be napping together alot 🙈

DogsAndGin · 11/04/2022 17:28

Fingers are crossed for you @Sal248R I hope you have a relaxing evening x

PinkFizz1 · 11/04/2022 17:50

I’m kind of wishing I had the nausea and sickness as I seem to have the opposite - my appetite is through the roof Sad

Can I ask when everyone’s sickness started? I know not everyone gets it.
I’m 5+1 and wondering if it’ll be this week.

lovesT · 11/04/2022 17:58

@PinkFizz1 everyone is different 😊 mine only properly started within the last few days and I'm 6+1 today. I had nausea with my daughter but I'm not sure I remember it starting this early, I could be wrong though! Try not to worry x

lovesT · 11/04/2022 18:01

@PinkFizz1 thinking about it I think I started off very hungry too 😊

Ivy23 · 11/04/2022 18:04

@PinkFizz1 I'm 6+6 today and feel dreadful. I had no symptoms at all until two days ago and since then been nauseous on and off all day. I do think it's completely normal for symptoms to come and go at this stage.
A week ago I was wishing I felt sick and now I have what I wished for! 🙃

Stargazer89 · 11/04/2022 18:15

hi everyke, just catching up with the thread as been away. I think my due date is 7th December.
I didn't have symptoms with my daughter but been feeling bit sick with this one and on off sore boobs.
Does anyone have scans booked in soon? I'm thinking of booking one for 8 weeks.

Hboz · 11/04/2022 18:49

Hiya all! I’ve had a positive pregnancy test 🥳 due date is 20/12 ! I’m super nervous as never been pregnant and have two weddings and two hen dos in the next 2 months 😨

Galaxyrippleforever · 11/04/2022 18:56

Congratulations @Hboz!

22Dec22 · 11/04/2022 19:28

Good evening all, can I please join? I have just found out I am pregnant and NHS calculator puts my due date to 22 December. I am 38 and this is my first pregnancy - was expecting it to take ages or may never happen but got pregnant in the first cycle! Still can’t believe it! Smile Keeping everything crossed for the next few weeks to go ok…

BuchananBaby · 11/04/2022 19:56

@PinkFizz1 mine has been on and off but I would say it's only really hit me like a tonne of bricks the last couple of days I'm 6+4

Congratulations @Hboz and @22Dec22 🥰

@Stargazer89 I've got an early scan at 8 weeks on the 23rd April 🥰

embob993 · 11/04/2022 20:04

My nausea has kicked in but has an odd pattern. It's worsened by being hungry and comes on once in the morning and usually before tea time. I've woken up at night feeling sickly but is just a wave of acid/ nausea than feeling the need to throw up. I might start carrying emergency sick bags for my work commutes (I have a phobia of being sick in public 😬). I haven't been put off food at all though, in fact I just want to keep eating 🤣

PinkFizz1 · 11/04/2022 20:09

Thanks all, maybe my symptoms will ramp up in the next week or so.

@Ivy23 My DP said the same to me yesterday about being careful what I wish for & he’s going to remind me when I’m doubled over the toilet throwing up that I “wanted this” 🙄😂😂

embob993 · 11/04/2022 20:27

Does anyone use any pregnancy apps? I've been using pregnancy + and keep going back to look at it 🤭 I promised myself I wouldn't after mc in January as I was connected to a bean on a screen (as it was before scans etc), but here I am! It's informative too of week by week stages and I'd recommend 😊

Due December 2022 ❤👶

@embob993 I use pregnancy+ too it's fab I used it with my daughter too 🥰 I feel a bit better I don't think I'm knicker checking as much anymore - long may that continue 🥰

Part of me had been tempted to see if she wanted to have a spa day together as our hen do but then I do feel bad backing out of her actual hen do. Like you, I genuinely just don't have a clue what to do.

Thank you, so far so good 😂 We aren't telling anyone yet and luckily my symptoms are mild/unnoticeable so it's been manageable so far. She lives away so we don't see her often.

@PinkFizz1 I'm 7+1 and no sickness so far. I didn't get it at all with DD. With DS it started around 8/9 weeks if I remember rightly

LolaJ87 · 12/04/2022 07:07

@embob993 I’m using pregnancy+ and Ovia! Finding them both great.

On the nausea, I’d recommend carrying some Tuc crackers with you. They’re amazing at taking the edge off, especially if you’re feeling worse when you’re hungry! Be of my friends kept them by her bed the entire pregnancy, and ate one every morning before she sat up because it dulled the nausea.
