So I know this is super super early, but I wanted to start a thread going for us ladies with December due dates. I had a mc during my first pregnancy in January so I'm nervous about everything, but also excited! I'm 4 weeks pregnant Sunday and my test lines have been fairly strong 🙏 I have a sensitive sense of smell and my nipples are sore (but I'm embracing every symptom I get!)

Hi @littlecontis I am due 13th (1st) ☺️

Rose2022 · 11/04/2022 13:56
**@littlecontis* and @Haxeri* your nursery ideas both sound lovely!

Congratulations @Rose2022 I called my dr surgery at 4 weeks, and they have popped a big long form in the post, and have arranged a callback for the midwife to make a ‘booking appointment’
Thank you! I phoned the GP - it was a little complicated because I live half way in between 2 hospitals - one of which I work at and is where I want to have the baby! But my GP is linked with the other hospital so I can't have my midwife appts with them. So I phoned the hospital antenatal clinic and got the first appt booked in Grin

I’m due to go in a hen party early June, for the bride I’m bridesmaid for later in the summer . I’ll be 12-13 weeks on the hen weekend (due 6th dec) with activities of drinking, gladiator fighting and escape rooms- I’m getting worried about it all!
I have been considering only going for one day to not let down the bride, but not sure about it all as no idea how I’ll feel then and I won’t want to do many of the activities so will be a ‘downer’ on the festivities. It’s 3.5hour drive away from home and I only know the bride herself.
Anyone else in similar situations? Any advice?

Nutella99 · 11/04/2022 14:11

@MrsN3 No similar situation, but how close are you to the bride? Presumably close if you're going to be a bridesmaid so can you tell her ahead of time even if it's before 12 weeks? I'm sure she'd understand! Depending on how you're feeling you might feel up for doing the escape room and going out, but gladiator sounds like something you definitely shouldn't do!

LolaJ87 · 11/04/2022 14:12

@littlecontis just a reminder to be careful using that list of due dates from last week, at least one of the ladies on it has lost her pregnancy and it's probably not nice to be tagged in after a loss. I hope you know I mean no offence!

Nutella99 · 11/04/2022 14:15

Has anyone else really struggled with exercise since becoming pregnant? I was running 3 times a week, and training for my first half marathon. Since that's in June I'm no longer going to do it - I would be drastically increasing distance for what I can comfortably run already so seemed like a bad idea. Since deciding that I've had no motivation to go out running. I'm also just really tired and feel crap most of the time I know I should at least be doing other stuff like yoga or pilates but again just so tired and can't be bothered. Am I just lazy or is this legitimate at 6 weeks pregnant?!

DogsAndGin · 11/04/2022 14:16

I’ve added mine on too. Hope that’s ok x

@LolaJ87 Thank you for the reminder, it's heartbreaking. I did check and left the lady out on the list I shared just now.

Once again I wish all of us will have a healthy baby after these 9 months Star

@Nutella99 yes me! I was a huge gym freak until a week or so go 😂 weight training, running, 10k steps a day etc etc, now it’s almost as if a switch has flipped.

I’m going to try and get out for walks but it’s not the same. Maybe as the weeks go on and my confidence grows a bit (first pregnancy and anxious about something going wrong) I will set foot in the gym again, who knows. I think I’m just going to take it easy and try and get out for walks when I can and not be too hard on myself… easier said than done.

LolaJ87 · 11/04/2022 14:28

Ladies, December22NewMomma lost her baby and shouldn't keep getting tagged on these lists Sad

MrsN3 · 11/04/2022 14:29

@Nutella99 thank you for replying, yes you’re right I think I will tell her soon and just explain the situation and my concerns. Yes the gladiator fighting is certainly off the cards!

Nutella99 · 11/04/2022 14:35

@PinkFizz1 Glad it's not just me! I'm the same about worrying something will go wrong.

Also the couple of times I have done pilates recently the ab exercises have given me stomach pain - presumably muscular but doesn't help with the anxiety!

MrsN3 · 11/04/2022 14:41

@Nutella99 fair play still doing Pilates. Im the same as @PinkFizz1 sticking to the walking for now!
I stopped going to yoga as my class has lots of planks and is very physically demanding. I’ll slowly try and ease back to the gym maybe swimming if nothing else but I’ve lost my energy for an hour long class.

lovesT · 11/04/2022 14:45

@Buchananbaby 6+1 😊 haha yea definitely so much more to think about! I've sent my husband a list of things to get me from the shops before he gets home from work. Very specific things 😅 just don't fancy anything!!

Winnie2022 · 11/04/2022 14:54

@DogsAndGin I think we are due date twins.

How is everyone’s appetite? I have zero!

DogsAndGin · 11/04/2022 15:02

@Winnie2022 ooh how exciting! I will be opting for an ELCS though, so I think I will possibly have baby earlier than 15th.

Sorry to hear your appetite has reduced. I feel normal so far, possibly a tad nauseous but I think I’m imagining it!

BuchananBaby · 11/04/2022 15:03

@lovesT haha I love it! I sent my mum for Crackers so my partner can bring them home when he picks up my daughter, think I'll have Crackers and butter for dinner 🙈😂

MrsCrumbtious · 11/04/2022 15:13

@Winnie2022 lost my appetite too I’ve completely gone off chocolate (remember this happened last time too!) hope you get it back soon

Haxeri · 11/04/2022 15:23

My appetite is still live and kicking, but despite being constantly hungry nothing sounds good, like I want something very specific but don't know what it is...

Nutella99 · 11/04/2022 15:24

I couldn't figure out what I wanted for breakfast this morning as I was randomly starving (not usually hungry before 10am), but my usual cereals didn't appeal AT ALL. Then I remembered I'd asked DP to buy some weetabix for me at the weekend and nearly cried with happiness as it was going to hit the spot exactly 🙃 So grateful to me of 2 days ago...and DP of course 😂

Amphibian94 · 11/04/2022 15:33

Update!!

So our scan is measuring 6w1d (I'm 6w2d by lmp) and heartbeat was seen at 114bpm! We've never seen a heartbeat before despite getting to 10 weeks with our 1st mmc. So this was really nice to see. Go back in 2 weeks to check progress... I hope this bean sticks! X

Sal248R · 11/04/2022 15:36

Hey, first time posting. Had a rough few weeks. Found out I was pregnant on 21/03. My husband tested positive for covid the same day and I tested positive two days later so couldn't see a doc until I was out of isolation.
Had cramps since before I found out I was pregnant. Not bad. Just a dull pain I'm aware of.

Doc sent me to hospital. Got bloods and scan Done. Scan showed yolksac. Went back 48 hours later to get more bloods to compare HCG levels.

Got a phone call from midwife the next day and she told my husband that it was inevitable I will have a miscarriage because my hcg levels only rose by 37%.

Went into epu the next morning for a scan and doc said sac has grown and not to focus on hcg levels even though midwife was adamant. Doc is just not overly happy with the shape of it. According to their math I should be 7 weeks but I know I'm no more than 5. Doc said I've to wait 2 weeks to see what happens and go for another scan. I'm now in limbo. I've taken the week off work and I'm alternating between hope and crying.

I'm not bleeding and have no other negative symptoms. If this is successful baby is due 10 Dec.

LolaJ87 · 11/04/2022 15:36

Congrats @Amphibian94! That's such a lovely update, how wonderful!
